  • does anybody know if this is easy to modify to use on a standard monitor rather than a phone?
eg. I have some SBS 3D recordings such as from the london olympics but I dont have a 3d tv

I assume the modification needs to be from the focal length?
eg. I need to flex the bridge to increase the correct focal distance?

    • You'd be better off transferring the video to your phone and using the device with your phone.

  • +1

Didn't receive the lenses for my last purchase… and one of them didn't come with magnet but the other did.

  • Hi, I wear prescription glasses and I wonder if this would work for me. Has anyone tried that with their glasses on?

    • You can cut slots for glasses frame. It's only cardboard after all.

  • I am still waiting for an order, which was paid for on the 24/08, so that is 2 months now, after hassling them, I got an email saying it was sent on the 03/10 and can take up to 30 business days for delivery. Just as well it was nothing important….

  • still haven't received my one from my last order!

  • Does this include the lenses?

  • It comes up as $11.45 AUS. Is there a promo code or coupon code to use?

    • Yes this comes with the lenses. Coupon not needed. The price has gone back down again, but to $3.38.

  • Bought a few things here before and never turned up. hassled them for months and kept saying there was nothing they could do or please wait longer etc. absolute pain in the ass and didn't get my items or my money back.

Fine when their stuff arrives though.

  • has anyone purchased anything from these guys when it HAS turned up ???

  • cheaper here … albeit not sure if its more reliable:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3D-DIY-Google-Cardboard-Glasses-V…

    • Yep I bought this one. Received it within 1.5 weeks so not too bad!

    • eBay is always more reliable as it's protected by PayPal :)

Also i believe as of Nov 4th, Paypal are extending the time you're allowed to lodge for a refund (not turning up etc) to 180 days after purchase.

  • It shows as A$11.34 now.

There's another Cardboard Packing Box for Google Cardboard Virtual Reality 3D Glasses Kit EPATH-346885 for A$2.15. From the photos shown, you can't see much of what's included. Dare not to take the risk!

EDIT My bad, that's the packing box only, not the kit.

  • Mine just arrived, it's pretty dodgy quality. The tabs for the lenses are too large, so they don't hold the lenses in place. It's also missing the double-sided tape for the large edge tab.

I'll have to stick on some type of cardboard flanges on both sides to stop the lenses falling out.
