Stumbled across these 3 'albums' while searching for some Christmas songs. I believe most are instrumentals. Hopefully you'll enjoy the find :)

Album 1: Holidays (24 tracks)
Album 2: Soundtracks (387 tracks)
Album 3: Dance/Electronic (218 tracks)

I think these are the tracks you can (legally) use on YouTube when you upload a video, thanks :)

Edit: according to the YT Video Manager, there are over 150,000 tracks hmm..

      Darude - Sandstorm

Possibly the most appropriate use of that comment ever hahahaha.

I don't get it? I know the song but don't understand the connection.

Sandstorm is one of the default music tracks that is selectable when you upload a video on YT and need background music. It's over-used on YT and basically everyone has at least heard it once.
As for how it became an internet meme, here is a bit of reading material.

        • @illumination: pretty much what scrim said. Random posts about Sandstorm for random unrelated questions.

I got like the 500-600 free songs from Google when they first released Play Music, and the music library has been a mess since. The couple albums that I actually bought and would like to listen are hard to find among the hundreds of artists and albums.

I would suggest you get these only if you really want it, otherwise 500-600 songs that you don't listen to will mess the library up bad.

    • agreed, google play is a mess for finding stuff. In fact I think almost all of google's UI's are 2nd rate and counterintuitive.

      • Agreed. He's talking about his own music library being full of lots of music not the Google UI. I find it equally as easy to find apps on Google and iOS using the search bar? Are you just trashing google ?

        • Yeah I know what you mean. When I use the I feel lucky instant mix thing, despite thumbs downing a bunch of tracks it seems to disregard it and puts them in there anyway.. Wish there was a way to exclude tracks easily.

  • I dare someone to download all 629 tracks… on an iphone on iOS8!

    • iPhone… FATALITY!

      Bono probably would.

    • phew, at least he didn't DOUBLE DARE someone. might be worse than dividing by zero.

  • At first I thought it was a typo, but seriously… 629 tracks. Thanks

Have a listen to a few first, they're more like ringtones than 'tracks', a bunch of over-produced, middle-of-the-road instrumentals. Wouldn't surprise me if they were computer generated.

Yeah pretty crappy, who's dancing to that music. They should be paying me to listen to it.

  • Good stuff to have on in the background. Good find, OP. Thanks for posting.

  • Is there a way of adding all these to a library at once, instead of clicking one song at a time ?

Click on the "Free" next to the collection name (at the top).
