At the end of the day I like to wind my long hose back in. So I was hoping for a deal on the auto-rewind hose reels. Oh well.
I have had mine laid out in the open since June, through winter and some 40 degree days. Five months later all good as per day one.

Five months isn't really a prolonged test for a setup that should exceed 3 years.
The Hoselink connectors are a great idea, but don't count on them lasting for much longer than a few years. I went back to brass fittings as they last much longer.
No, 5 months isn't long, but it was some feedback.
Personally, if they need to be replaced every two years or so, I will still be happy. I have purchased a few pricey brass sets in the past and never being happy with them.

We have Hoselink connectors that would have to be close to 15 years old, still working fine.
You could always pay $200 or thereabouts and get the whole enchilada with the auto rewind reel etc :) I like it, but not $200 worth of like it.

Yes would but auto retract as well. Bought from previous deals, hose and attachments good after 2 years in sun. Need 30m retractable house reel though.
Seriously??? You are trying to compare a cheap "High impact plastic body" gun to a heavy duty metal gun that is designed to be serviceable so last years. Same game sure, but that Aldi one is little league compared to the Hoselinks pro.

Is that of quantifiable benefit? Even buy several at $5, pretty reasonable the basic one will last and last. Quite likely multiple times.

Can I take this seriously. 2YR? Dated metal designs may also last a lifetime. Anyway, it is an attachment (..commodity gimmick) others can make the connection whether they go Hoserlink or an economical way.
Any ideas on how this hose would hold up if I left it in sitting the summer sun? I'm the lazy kind who would leave this connected to my tap and coiled next to it unfortunately and was hoping something could fulfil that laziness.
