Anyone has link to AC600 Wireless Netgear USB network adapter?

  • got the death adder. thanks for post!

dont care if its ugly, for 30$ cant beat it.

    • +1

I am sorry but it is only $29, not $30 !

      • rep, did you have link to Netgear $29 AC600 Wireless Netgear USB network adapter?
        Thanks

        • All stores have at least 15 instock rightnow.

        • @hung861988:
Thanks. But it showing as $42 :-(

  • The death adder is cheap but I wouldn't recommend it. Initially it might seem solid but the parts wears out quickly. The rubber pads at the bottom, the grippy feel, the reliability of the clicking and the connection at the usb end (mine disconnects with a slight touch).

I've been looking for a replacement mouse for a while and my experience with the death adder v2 is why I haven't tried the razor mechanical keyboards.

    • bullshit.

have had lychesis for 3-4 years now.
not one single issue. this one is exactly the same -4 buttons.

Lol, mate, just because someone's experience was different from yours doesn't make theirs any less valid.

Also, reviews only tell you what the reviewer initially thought of the product, not a few months after unless they actually come back to amend it but very few do.

Check amazon if you still think I'm 'bullshitting'.

        • what are u on about?

Amazon 1000 gave 5 out of 5, out of total 1500 votes?

plus. like i said. still have Lychesis for soooo long with no issues.
it's essential the same mouse with more buttons.

PLUS - for 30$ you aint gonna get anything better. and thats a fact :)

if yours was so bad, why didnt u warranty it?

          @millusions:

Look at the critical reviews. I already told you why the average is high.

May not be if you consider possible shorter lifetime.

          Warranty expired.

          @leonheart1:
          go away troll :)

        • @millusions:

If voting down conflicting opinions helps you sleep then by all means.

          Hope you get better soon.

  • Anyone have a reliable Wifi Range Extender? This one looks good but some reviews say it can drop out every now and again. The TP-Link TL-WA850RE has better reviews and is cheaper but unsure of the difference.

Anyone have a reliable Wifi Range Extender?

      No such thing I'm afraid.

"No matter what they are called or technology they use, repeaters start out with a minimum 50% throughput loss. The reason is that a repeater must receive, then retransmit each packet using the same radio on the same channel and with the same SSID. If the repeater is very efficient, then your loss will be close to 50%. But if it's not, throughput loss can be higher."
      http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-basics/3157…

Most of them are nowhere near 50% efficient. So if you have a WiFi deadzone where you get a signal strength of between 10-30%, a boost of less than 50% of that, means it's a total crapshoot as to whether Wi-Fi Range Extenders will have any perceivable impact on signal reception.

"…a Wi-Fi extender is the last thing you should buy to improve your wireless network. The simple truth is that there are two better alternatives to consider first:

Getting a new, faster router with increased range

Setting up a hardwired network using Ethernet, MoCA or powerline that will blow any Wi-Fi extender's speed out of the water"
      http://www.tested.com/tech/web/454692-best-wi-fi-extender-if…

Ethernet Over Power (EOP) is a more surefire option for connecting isolated PCs/devices at the nether reaches of your house to your LAN and they've dropped significantly in price as of late, to be a real no-brainer choice over WiFi Extenders.

The Netcomm NP207s are very reasonably priced and well-regarded.

      • Thanks for the detailed info. I'll try the EOP idea. I have a spare wifi modem at home so I'm guessing I can use that at the end device to create a wifi signal?

        • +1

I got myself a D-link DHP 1321 which has a wireless ap router and one EOP device. The router itself can do EOP as well. I have it setup exactly as you described, the EOP device sits next to my main modem/router and this d-link router sits at the far end and upstairs of my house.

Was a bit fiddle to setup but in the end it works quite well. Plus it's cheap. $49 at MSY.
I think the DHP 1324 is the same thing but the EOP has 4 ports.

Just make sure that you don't have these plugged into those surge protector boards, does not work well with it.

          Hope that helps you out.
