Black Friday: NATO Strap Co. 40% off All Watch Straps + Free Shipping

460
CYBER14

Just got an email from this company, running a 40% off special on all their straps (free shipping to AUS, as always). No way affiliated, but I currently have one of these straps on my watch and are of good quality, with some really unique designs (the strap I have is an exact match of the BMW M colours).

If you need some more info check out watchuseek: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f222/nato-straps-natostrapco-co…

Cheers

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2014

  • Nice prices - I've had a NATO strap on my Seiko Orange Monster for a few years now, back then they were ~ $20

    • Are the prices in USD?

  • How do we use the code? I don't see an option for it anywhere.

    • +1

Last page of checkout (after paypal for example) before purchase

      • It worked, thank you! Grabbed two straps for my Pebble.

  • Thanks OP! Been looking for a nato strap to go with my purchase from the recent Casio ozsale deal.

  • Nice deal. Any idea when it expires?

    • The code is valid till 2nd Dec, but stock may sell out.

      • Definitely selling out quite fast. It is unclear if stock will be restocked, so I'd work off the principle that it isn't :).

        • I just got my shipping confirmations with tracking codes. They'll soon be on their way.

  • Thanks OP! Was planning to buy some 28mm straps next month. Only got 1 so far and I love it

    • For a Seven Friday..?

Yup and also for my B&R.
        2 birds one stone!

        • My SF collection is growing…!!
Make sure you check out Tunx Straps.. I have bought 5 custom ones from him…

        • @pitiek: Hi pitiek, just wondering where did you get your SF from? How much is its normal price locally? cheers…

        • @maogua: I'm in Brisbane and got mine from Brisbane Vintage Watches on Queen St Mall. They also own WatchTech on Edward St.
They have distributor all across Australia.

    Just bought 2 LeMans ( Gulf coloured ) ones .. Woot !!!

  • Are they any special tools required to change these yourself? Or would you need to drop it off @ a watch shop? Thanks!

  • +1

Just a note everyone - stock is going really quickly as this has been posted on all the major watch forums.

I had several styles run out of stock while I was pottering, so get in quick!

    • That explains it. Watch collectors spend thousands, this is probably chump change for them.

  • Just picked up a nice nato "destroyer" for the new Orient Ray. Thanx OP.

  • damn, all the nice leather ones are gone in 22mm

good straps by the way, I have several.

  • Picked up 5 straps, cheers!

What is so special about these NATO straps?

    • +3

Cheap, so many patterns and variations, safe (less tension on spring bars), can swap out fast, different styles, great for diving, dries fast and so comfortable.

      • Cheers for your comment.
I only need one strap anyway.
Not sure what you mean by safe (less tension on spring bars)?
Good to hear it dries fast, but will it become very smelly with sweat?
One strange thing I noted is these straps loop underneath the watch case, instead of just looping on both case bars.

        • See Thrifts comment below about safety.

Mine don't get smelly, but if they did I'd just let them soak. If you're coming from leather (especially cheap, stock ones) you're probably used to stench.

I bought four and already have some. I just swap them out depending on my watch, mood and style. They're going to look sweet on my new Maratac Pilot.

Another safe feature is the way the strap loops through - if a springbar should fail, the strap is still a closed loop around the wrist and other springbar, keeping the watch secured.

  • Thanks, bought a strap to match the watch I just purchased from the Amazon Amex deal.

    • Are prices in USD?

      • Yes. It is a US company, located in Tuckahoe, NY USA.

  • Thanks OP! Been meaning to pickup a NATO strap for a while now. Finally pulled the trigger.

  • Awesome, been meaning to get a new one for my vintage Casio for a while. The black/orange didn't look the part. Heaps cheaper than I've seen before!

Got a few - these guys make good quality NATO straps, good to stock up on different colours.

Sale is still happening. Also a fair few straps have come back in stock.

  • The sale is still ON, I think it expires as per USA west/east coast time. Ordered a couple on Saturday night, still being processed.

  • Anyone got theirs yet?

    • Takes 7-10 business days so hopefully this week. Ive already removed a few bracelets so I can throw them on as soon as they arrive!

Im a bit worried with mine. Tracking says theyve been in Jamaica since the 30th.. My experience with USPS is just like Auspost though..Its pretty shocking..

      • +1

If you're using USPS' tracking page, there should be a blue box letting you know:

The item is currently in transit to the destination. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

It's most likely buried in a ULD at some airport, making its way downunder.

You might get it delivered before the tracking info gets updated.

    • An hour after I posted, I checked the mailbox and my straps are here :)

      • Just got mine too! USPS still says its in Jamaica though lol

        • Hmm, hopefully that's the same with mine!

I made 2 separate orders, 1 day apart. The order that was shipped on the 30/11 arrived today, while the one shipped on the 29/11 is still in Jamaica NY according to tracking!

        • @RyanMK:

hah same - im still waiting for mine so hopefully not much longer to go since it sounds like tracking stops at jamaica NY!

          Arrived at USPS Facility

          JAMAICA, NY 11430

  • Bit miffed, my order got cancelled and refunded due to "lack of stock" about 3 days after I ordered.

Didn't even ask if I wanted a different one, which I would have got. Pretty poor customer service.

    • thats pretty poor - did u ask them why you cant request a different one?

I made 2 orders on impulse and emailed them to cancel 1 of them which they obliged.

Also made an order from cheapestnatostraps too https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/172681 :)

      • I emailed them and haven't had a reply. Suffice to say, I'll be using someone else to get them as I actually needed them, rather than wanted them!
