  • Registered my amex card , and have no idea what to buy :(

  • have registered my non bank amex (not DJs) and got the email confirmation. interestingly when I signed in to the offers section on the amex website the apple offer is not on there even though I received email confirmation. so maybe they really do mean it is by invitation only even for non bank amex. can anyone advise if it is in their offer section?

  • does anyone know if i return an iphone i bought with credit card, would they refund me in gift card or back to my credit card?

  • How about just buying 1000 gift card? whats expiry? because there isn't any "sale" per se anyway right? I assume cashback sites like starthere will still work for gift cards?

Confirm that gift cards transactions are OK to get credit back guys. Got my $50 credit back today.
Properly AMEX doesn't know or don't care what you buying at the store.

      • Thanks for the update. Did you get any email confirmation after your purchase?

        • +1

No emails at all but the credit gets in quicker than the shop small/myer given spent on the same day!

        • +1

No email but received the credit from AMEX this morning

Purchase was made 29/11/2014 at apple store

        • I see. Thanks for the reply Jerome and melgumtree. I made my purchase online on 30/11/14. Was curious as there was no email after purchase.

Transaction not showing up yet on the transaction history so I guess I won't be seeing the credit in a few more days.

        • Has your order shipped? Like amazon, they only charge when shipping.

        • @jerome: Yes shipped. In fact I've received my purchase today. My available limit definitely has come down though. May be the transaction will appear tomorrow then hopefully the statement credit follows a few days after.

        • @jerome: did you bought apple store egift cards (http://store.apple.com/au/personalize/electronic?product=E_G…) ? does your card get charged on the same day ?

I'm just worried that they won't process it straight away since today is the last day to get cashback.

      • Thanks!

      • Thanks - did you order the gift card online or buy in-store?

  • I got my credits yesterday, they issued 2 of $50 credit to my account.

    • How long did it take to happen? I purchased yesterday but am yet to see it on my account…. ( I had already received an email confirmation that my registration was successful)

      • Hi,

It took 3 days for the money appear on the statement after I got the shipment from Apple. Thanks.

        • Hi tlam,

Did your online purchase from Apple show Apple Store Singapore in the transaction history? Mine is showing that.

        • @kcy:

Yes is this, i did online purchase.

        • @tlam: Sorry, did you mean the transaction history also shows Apple Store Singapore?

        • @kcy:
Yes it was Apple Store Singapore

      • FYI I received my $100 credit about 4 days business days later

    • I went to the Apple store over the weekend but there was no stock available so I shopped at store.apple.com/au.

My transactions show that the biller is Apple Store Singapore and no credits from Amex so far.

Apparently Apple booked my transaction in "tax favorable" Singapore to minimize taxes and maximize profits.

Most likely, my Amex credits are lost as a result.

I wonder if Apple would passed on the GST I paid as the item shipped from overseas by TNT is under the $900 tax free threshold.

      • Don't worry. I have contacted AmEx today in relation to that. Mine also showing Apple store Singapore, Amex assured me that I will be credited. Give it a few days.

As for the invoice, it is still issued by Apple Au.

      • can i ask what did u buy?

  • Do Apple stores price match dick smith currently advertised 10% off iMac?

    • +1

Yes they do. I did it in June for a macbook 15 retina

  • Guys it says 8,000 units only.

Anyone know if they have reached 8000 already???

  • Has anyone received the statement credits yet? I know some stores are instant and others take a few days…. If you have received credit, how many days did it take?

    • Purchased on Dec 3 and credit was there this morning.

    • About 4 business days later
