Three online store started charging p&h fee $10 and moneybackco offers you the same amount as well.

Try to get it from Three dealer Shop or DickSmith, which will cost you only $99 and you can choose between RED and SILVER.

Remember this is a 3 Network locked phone. UNLOCK it for FREE @ http://www.aerix-group.com/supported_phones.html

I'm not sure about the package content. If it does not come with a USB cable get it from DX.

  • stupid question: Would I be able to use this phone on telstra's next G network?

    Thanks.

    • +1

      Probably No.

Wiki says "Telstra opted to use the 850 MHz band for Next G in preference to the more common 2100 MHz band, since it requires fewer base stations to provide coverage, providing a lower capital cost"

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Next_G

    • Specifications state:
      Quad-Band: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS and 2100 MHz UMTS

So I'm guessing not, as it only supports 850MHz GSM.

  • Just looking at the dealextreme website you mention down the bottom. Has anyone used this website/company previously? Some of the prices seem extremely cheap - esp as it seems to include shipping to Aust.

    • +2

yup, its be there for years! Purchased 100+ items so far.

Is there anyone who hasnt used DX ?

I thought everyone was addicted to that site as I am :P

have at least two packets arrving for them weekly for the past 3 months ever since the AUD went up…best site ever!

        • I agree, love DX.

    • It's hard to believe DX do the prices they do. They're 100% legit, reasonably quick shipping (appx 1 week). If you have owned a previous Sony Ericsson phone then you may already have the cable, or just ask a mate.

I'm surprised this unit doesn't come with one already. But awesome deal nonetheless. Been a SE fan for ages, currently have the SE k770i and it's quite similar to this phone, but I paid $250 for it a year ago :)

      • Have this phone from Three as an handset upgrade a while ago, $2 x 24 mths and got $50 online rebate. End up i still earn $2 lol… Sorry NO usb cable. Enjoy… Not a bad phone

    • Dealextreme is notorious for their fake memory cards and accessories. I'd stay away from them.

      • yah ..thts true… but they have many nice deals as well, like card readers/DS cart/pandora battery/cable/adapter etc

  • Can you get the $64 from MBC by purchasing the phone of three with a sim card?? So it equates to about $48.

    • nope $64 for postpaid mobile. on prepaid you get 10% only. So it should be $ 10 only.

  • This is a fantastically good phone for the price, if you want internet.
3G, 320x240 screen, HSDPA, stereo bluetooth, small, runs google maps, youtube, email, gmail-client, etc
Cons are the M2 memory slot (not SD, stupid Sony) and lack of standard headphone socket.

  • So $99 just for the phone & no free credit?

    • +1

$10 free credit, if you activate online!

      • Can you buy from Three dealer Shop or DickSmith and able to activate online or only for only purchase?

        • Well I got it from DSE and on the sim packaging it says "$10 Credit on online activation"

  • +1

I bought one today. The package does not contain any USB cable, to unlock just ordered USB cable from dealextreme.

  • great ! thanks… got one from dick smith north sydney… they only have silver… three has the red ($10 shipping)… dick smith have the optus pre-paid in black, for $129… cheers

  • Heya ive bought the phone but can't get aerix to recognise the phone when i plug it in via usb holding the 2 and 5 keys. Ive tried this with the drivers installed/uninstalled and the phone on, off, upsidedown and inside out. Can anyone confirm that the unlocking instructions work, and if so.. how?
