        I just kept looking through every TCL service manual I could find online and tried out all the codes hoping that one might work :P

        Here is the service manual. It's for some 2010 model TV, but all the menu options seem to be the same so applies to this model just as well ;)

        awesome! explains all of the service menu settings.

        i've found the overscan correction for the TV channels a bit weird though. the values don't change on screen while you're pressing the left/right arrows until you press the OK button. also the "position" seems to change the "size" and vice versa (as in you select the position setting press left or right to adjust, press okay to confirm and then the value will change for the size setting instead)
