This seems to be a good price for this dock.
The newer model has upgraded the thunderbolt format to version 2 but I believe lost a couple of connections in the process. Most notable is the firewire port in included in this original model. At least no extra firewire adapter is needed. I came across this because I was looking for a firewire repeater or hub for my Macbook Air. This seems to be adequate for my requirements. Some specs:
