    • Yep, that was confirmed by others some time back now. As per Model #:BK-3MCCE/8PT (regardless of the pic!)
Japanese ones are Model #:HR-3UTGB8TPT as sold here and here by DSE!

      • is there any difference?

        in terms of
        -life charges
        -capacity

        • Life charges - Jap @ 1800 v Chinese @ 2100.
          Retention rate - Jap @ 70% v Chinese @ 65%.
Capacity is the same - Nominal 1900mAh.

A lot of speculation still about, but some bench testing has shown the Jap ones to be better performing!
Problem in Oz is that everyone is now charging (pardon the punt) a premium for Jap made stock!

        • Yes, there is unfortunately:

I personally experienced it when i first started using Chinese eneloops. When i tried charding a fresh pack of Chinese made eneloops, they wouldn't hold more than 1000mAh. Fortunately I have the MAHA 9000 and have been able to refresh the batteries by charging and discharging the batteries a couple of times. Think they got back up to just under 1800mAh after a few cycles.
