This deal below here would be a much better deal than your one. It's only $90 a month.

Not everyone has Optus cable connected to their property.

      • Correct most don't and no units.

Fair enough.. Well, the link is there for the people that can benefit from it and who didn't know about the $90 bundle.

If you don't/can't have Optus cable connected to the property then it might be better to go with another provider than Optus. There are far better ADSL deals than Optus' $115 plan.

    • Wow thanks, maybe I should go with that, much better value, the only selling point for the $115 is the Galaxy Tab.

    • This current deal is not worth it. You would be paying an additional $25/month. For 24 months, it's $600 extra. The Galaxy Tab S is only $479 on Kogan. That's an additional $221.

      • +1

Additional $121 actually… but still overpriced.

        • Ah typo there, my bad. My point still stands.

  • Love the acting in the TV ad

    • I'm actually beginning to dislike josh Thomas for doing these ads. Hopefully he is getting paid big bickies for, what I see as, selling out to the man.

      • +3

Selling out? He's an actor/comedian, that's what he's paid to do. Personally think he's a complete twat but that's beside the point.

Doesn't include unlimited calls to mobile. For me that makes the $90 unlimited bundle so much more attractive.

    • +3

      Yep..the deal breaker.
How many calls do we do to a landline these days except the toll free or utilities numbers 13xxxx…should have included mobile.
I ended up with a $50 SIM only plan from Vodafone (with some discount) that includes unlimited calls to landline and mobiles + unlimited SMS + 300 mins international calls + 4GB
Add to that a $59 plan from TPG or others and you are set…FetchTV is a bonus but you pay for individual packages

This "deal" has been on their website for 2mths, how'd you miss out?

  • I think this has been available for a while now

    Edit: available since Oct 30

    • is this for new customers only?

      • You can cahnge ur plans but apparently your contract period starts again….
I was only a few months into my contract so I just pulled the trigger.

  • +2

Yep, no unlimited calls to mobiles is a deal breaker for sure. Much better plans around. The $90 cable plan is ok, but it's not for everyone. Also note that Optus don't have a speed booster for uploads like some other providers do. Pretty crappy upload speeds on Optus :(

$90 cable plan gives you 100Mbs d/l (you just have to ask for it).

Friend of mine got this deal online and its not a bad deal.
On the downside the Fetch TV is only the starter pack and to get the entertainment pack costs $15 per month more.
On the upside the Galaxy Tab is the upmarket 4G model, not just the wifi model.
