  • excellent price, wish they had a branch in Melbourne

    • +5

They are in Mt Waverley: Melbourne Office 18-20 Palmer Crt Mt Waverley 3149 VIC

      • pre order so just wait for it

      • the melbourne store lists it as $54. can you pick-up from the melbourne store?

may as well pricematch CPL $55 at OW for $52.25.

also, umart melbourne store website is absolutely horrible!

edit: oh, looks like all stores are $54 now (see comments below).

  • Price match!

And $15 shipping to Perth, as a worst case scenario :P

    • +1

would be good if you could! although technically its not a stocked item (at my nearest umart) anyway they only order it in when you place your order - not sure if that would affect the O/W price match

best of luck - if it works let us all know

      • +2

I won't, but just putting it out there as an option :)

        • you won't let us know? ok can you just pm me then and tell me :)

        • @Frantic:

          I won't be buying it…

Obviously.. crappy early morning comprehension skills

      • Just down the road from me, nice.

      • Cheers mate. Got two… one for bro and one for myself. Gotta love cashbacks… extra credit card points whilst only paying a fraction of the price in the end.

      • Great find! Just got two from CA as well for my sister and her hubby. They still have many in stock, if anyone want one. Can't miss them - first thing you'll see when you enter shop.

        • Well they're out of stock now. When I went to pick up this arvo, the salesperson said that people who didn't order online and just went into the store walked away disappointed.

      • Got two as well for my sister and me. Thanks!

      • Just went to OW and got price beat (5% off) by showing staff the screenshot from my phone captured when Umart had low stock and price was still $52. Great gadget, a little bit small for my full size hands…

  • Man, now i kinda regret not waiting for the cashback this year, bought one a few months ago for $46

  • +1

I think this is the first of the cashback items that I actually -want- rather than just being cheap

    • +5

true.. wtf is with those headsets

  • I got this last year or maybe from two years ago and asked ow to price match umart. Its still brand new in the original package.

  • i'm thinking might be good to use with my smart TV rather than trying to type with the remote!

    Your TV does bluetooth?
Bluetooth is good for tablets, but for HTPC the wireless USB with built-in trackpad is popular.

Umart warranty is sucky. Purchased a Silverstone hdd enclosure, the USB port fell out in less than 2 months, no warranty. The HDD used in the same device, a 2.5" WD Black 500gig, died inside 3 weeks, they sent it away for one month then replaced it (that period the above enclosure was not being used at all). HDD was clearly dead, it was easy to see it was dead, but most annoyingly it was barely a few weeks old. Id understand if it was 6 months old, but not less than a month.

Not to mention Routers Ive bought, namely a new ASUS also only a few (3) weeks old, again it has to be sent away after it bricked itself after a genuine ASUS firmware update failed, firmware recovery software was not helping at all. Maybe Im unlucky, but Im done with umart. According to ASUS, umart had the option if its 30 days old or less to replace on the spot, but they refused blaming ASUS (circular). So Im without a router, or I replace it with another. How many routers do I need? Well I have a working one now as I wasnt going to go months potentially without a router, I now dont need the ASUS.

Its not like I have no clue what Im doing either, Ive built a system through umart (another via MSY), and both are all good.

  • can I get 3 cashbacks of the same item if haven't used any yet?

    • +1

If you buy 3 of the same item then you can claim each of them individually using the 3 individual invoices or, if they are all on one invoice, submitting 3 separate claims using the same invoice as the attachment each time.

I'm assuming that you aren't trying to claim a single item 3 times, that would be wrong. I don't understand why you mention about whether items are used or not.

      • Thx. Sorry meant I haven't used any of the cashbacks yet

        • +1

I see now. I believe that you can. You just have to submit one claim per individual item, even if there is more than one item on the invoice. I submitted the same invoice for two individual claims for the same model wireless desktop. Just renamed that invoice pdf each time (eg Claim 1 of 2, Claim 2 of 2).

        • @jdr:

          Sweet, thx

Stock levels are now pre-order, so I'd call that out of stock…

  • Anyone paired it with a Nexus 7?

  • Anyone tried this with the ps4?

  • CPL in Melbourne have it for $55.

    • +1

Cpl aren't on the vendor list

  • I'd say yes to both… as the PS4 and the Nexus 7 are Bluetooth enabled (and Bluetooth has a set standard and isnt related to 'brand').

I got this keyboard and it works with both my iPad and my HTC phone.

    • +1

and Bluetooth has a set standard and isnt related to 'brand'

yes, but bluetooth comes in many flavours, using many different codecs. not all bluetooth devices are compatible with each other.

i have no idea about PS4 and Nexus 7, but as an example, Windows Phones definitely cannot use bluetooth keyboards, because they lack the bluetooth HID (human interface device) profile.

  • +1

Stock level says it's out of stock

  • Out of stock now west ryde Sydney store it seems

  • I can highly recommend it, bought it a week ago and it's an excellent product.

  • I thought of price matching this and the wedge mouse at Officeworks, but they don't seem to have the mouse :(

    • I just bought two price matched from Cpl at office works.. but on the receipt it says cplonline -2.75

      Will this be accepted?

  • I grabbed one of these keyboard co-incidentally the day of the cashback for a tablet. It's really awesome. The keyboard cover converts into a tablet stand which is really handy.

CPL in Melb has it for $55 & in stock. I believe MSY isn't much more. You can't probably do an OW prince match too.

apologies in advance ,might be a silly question but i cant seem to find umart on participating retailer list?

    • +1

      Terms and Conditions

      How it works:

Purchase any Microsoft PC accessory from a participating Australian retailer with a current Australian Business Number (ABN) or from the Microsoft Store online (microsoftstore.com.au) between 20th December 2014 and 1st February 2015. Purchases made from auction or bidding websites and overseas online retailers are not eligible. Excludes Surface and X Box Accessories. Participating stores for the offer are Harvey Norman, Domayne, Joyce Mayne, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Dick Smith, Officeworks, Bing Lee, Big W,EB Games, MSY Technology Pty Ltd, Officemax Australia Ltd, Centre Com Sunshine Pty Ltd, Computer Alliance, Austin Computers, Leading Edge Group Ltd, PLE Computers, Umart Online.

      • If I buy it from a participating retailer but got it price matched from a non partcipater that shouldn't be a problem?

        • If I buy it from a participating retailer

As you bought it/will be buying it from a participating retailer, you'll have met the conditions, so I can't see it being a problem

      • Thanks :)
now starts the fight to get one :P

        • +2

          Why? (Unless I'm missing something..)
Just price beat CPL at OW like I did.

  • +1

Thanks OP…$9 at computer alliance was too good to pass up.

  • Can anyone confirm that if I pay $52 for the keyboard, I am definitely getting the $40 cash back, not the 40% of $52 which is $21 back? The description of this cash back is vague.

    • Yeah jumped the gun myself and was stressing with buyers remorse afterwards. Hope I don't need to return em

    • +4

Please read the image at the top of the cashback page

      It clearly states the following

Buy Microsoft PC accessories and get 40% cash back on RRP.

The RRP and the cashback is very clearly listed as you scroll down that very page. Ctrl + F and type "Product List" and scroll down further to find the Wedge Mobile Keyboard.

You'll see that the RRP is $99.95, and as a result your 40% cashback becomes $40.00!

      • -3

At the bottom of the cash back page, MS stated below:

*Recommended retail price. Price is set by the retailer. Excludes Xbox and Surface accessories.
For purchases made between 20th December 2014 to 1st February 2015. Redeem by 20th February 2015.

So you think they are stupid enough to let you get the keyboard for way below their cost at $12?

        • -1

Could believe it.. its MS we're talking about here..

        • -2

What is Microsoft's cost price for this keyboard?

If they are "stupid enough" to run this promotion which is obviously getting lots of attention and business, then I for one commend and welcome their stupidity

      • Hopefully MS's RRP and not the stores RRP (non sale price). Someone ring Bill Gates and ask

  • -1

Anyone knows if it works with Apple TV?

  • +2

To buy two, with postage and paypal fees was $121.20, for me at https://www.computeralliance.com.au

    http://www.computeralliance.com.au/parts?id=10982

If you want to pay directly in to there account it was $120, The paypal fee was $1.20

  • +1

Thanks got one for $9, it seems like good enough deal not to pass.

  • -6

looks like 40% cashback not $40

    • 99.95 - (0.4 * 99.95) = 39.98

    • 40% is $40 when its applied to $100 (well $99.95).

  • Confusion is still there…MS's RRP or the stores RRP

    • +3

      Read the cashback page

For the purposes of this offer, a full list of Products and the associated 40% cash back redemption values on the full RRP are on the SKU list below. Surface and Xbox Accessories are excluded from this offer.

      Stores don't set RRP.

Use the table on the cashback page to see what you get back regardless of how much you actually paid in store

  • +3

For Queenslanders it will be cheaper to buy from Computer Alliance, a participating store in Mt. Gravatt:

    http://www.computeralliance.com.au/microsoft-wedge-wireless-…

  • +1

anything in Victoria, shipping is more than $10 everywhere.

    • +2

      http://www.cplonline.com.au/microsoft-wedge-mobile-bluetooth…

Shows Pickup available at Notting Hill/West Melbourne. OW chick didn't ring up and said 'yeah that should be fine'. Got $2.75 off bringing it within change of Umart's price. Don't bother with Elizabeth St as I got the last 2. Good luck

      • +1

They arent a participating store are they?
I didnt read the fine print yesterday, had to cancel my headset….lol

        • CPL aren't but OW (Office Works) are

  • +1

I'm sure Umart sold this for $49, I bought one from OW by price match which ended as $46.55, ie $6.55 after $40 cash back…

  • +1

It's an awesome keyboard. Got one ages ago for next to nothing because of a DSE pricing bug on their website :)

  • +2

    It's now $54 rather than $52

  • +3

Price matched at officeworks for $49.40.

    • Which one in Melbourne, please post receipt .

      • I would love to share the store but the manager was doing me a favor by PMing with an out-of-stock item. I rather not put him in trouble. Though you can try your luck with this http://budgetpc.com.au/u6r-00027-wedgekb.html

It's actually out-of-stock if you call them but on the site it's in stock and melbourne pickup is available.

        • Thanks, matched with OfficeWorks - ended up at $49.40

    • +2

could U upload the receipt which can be match in melbourne, thanks

  • I went to office work, they calculate the freight and give me $60.80 for this.

  • Price-matched with Computer Alliance at JB Hi-Fi for $49 (Officeworks had no stock)

    • dont think JB sells this model. I am guessing you bought this one https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/accessories/micr…

    • Appears like 90% of OW, DS, collection points are sold out thru Aus, whilst Umart itself changed $49 up-to-$59 over time. Might as well call expired, postdating a good impulse buy til fresh replenishments a fortnight's time. Got til end of Jan.

  • +5

Hey guys in MEL, BudgetPC also sell this for $52.00
Free pickup is available from their store in Mt Waverley
I pricematched at OW this morning. Paid $49.40

    http://budgetpc.com.au/computer-hardware/peripherals/keyboar…

    • I did the same - rang up and ordered over the phone. However, if you live away from the BudgetPC store, OW will try and add the postage of around $9 to the order.

    • Damn.. Forgot BudgetPC had it cheaper when checking staticice (5am).. Talk about butthurt.. First OW price match go easy on me

    • Cheers mate!

Price matched the wedge $52 at budget pc, and all-in-one $33 at msy. $80.75 all up, with $64 cashback.

  • Anyone tried Microsoft cash back claim website? Seems not working!

    • Cashback takes time? Like days to weeks?

I can't remember how long exactly though… Hmmm

      • Thanks. But I meant the claim website.I tried to submit the receipt on the website, but after submitting the page was reloaded to the same page I submitted. Don't know what's going on!Is it right?

        • Hmmm, in that case, I am not sure :S

Sorry for automatically assuming that you were talking about something, when you weren't.

        • @AznMitch: Thanks anyway! May try again tomorrow…

        • @hongau:

Samething happening to me. There's no confirmation email of any sort. Might try again tomoz or give them a call if that doesn't work.

        • Were you returned to the same page after submitting, with all information filled remaining except the attached receipt?@Mugsy:

        • @hongau:

works for me, submitted 2 claims

        • What's the page looks like after submitting? If you received confirmation email?
          @abracadabra:

        • +1

          @hongau:

The page shows the confirmation number, the email shows that number too

        • +1

          @hongau:

Yeah, I was returned to the submission page in the manner you described.

I tried again then, but in Chrome rather than Firefox which has all my ad and script disabling stuff installed and no issues. Got the confirmation number and email as abracadabra described.

Now, to find a good tablet to use this with. Guess I could always hook it up to my Lumia 920 - lol

        • Thanks a lot! I should have noticed it's browser issue. Tried IE and finally did.@Mugsy:

  • Hi all,

Got the wedge mobile thnks for the deal. Does it work with apple tv ? ipad air 2 ?? I am planning to get the ipad air 2.

  • Sorry in advance, if a dumb question, but they want a scan of the receipt. Do you think that a photo would do?
