  the 3 cell battery as compared to COTD's 1000HE 6 cell (up to 9.5 hrs) battery is enough to negative this deal.

  I bought this from COTD for $429 the last time it was on offer (maybe 2 months ago), and find even the 6 cell battery to be quite limited. I don't think this sacrifice would be worth the $50….

  6 cell on load gives you about 4-5 hours. 9.5 hours is when settings are on their very lowest and on idle. that said, a 3 cell would probably give you around 2 hours on load

  Generally 3 cells is good for 2 hours on most net books doing almost nothing maybe 1 hour doing something movies /web etc

  I guess its how much you want your nice stylish netbook to look ugly with a big extra battery sticking out , dont forget it makes it heavier aswell
