not impressed that student pricing is available now and was not when i ordered my bundle. Microsoft store is so disorganized.

- Is the item delivered via courier or Australia Post?
- Is the item well packaged from damage (water/crush/etc)?

Ahh, saved me a phone call. Was resisting all December, but the student pricing was too good to pass on. Guess the pricing is meant for after the special offer has expired. I mean, how can they be out of stock on an item that demonstrably still is in stock?
Only applies to college or uni students (or faculty members/teachers). Which doesn't make sense to me as Micro$oft should be getting those kids hooked as early as possible…

It's not just for students, it's for faculty members too. It's basically giving you a discount for forever staying at uni in some form or another. ;)

Oh boy. You do realise you dont study 24hrs a day 7 days a week right? Full time study is like working a normal job; 38-40hrs. So what's wrong with unwinding with a game after a long day? People do it with their jobs, how is studying any different?

Yeah, "out of stock" is a pitiful excuse. It's probably just the AC Unity bundle that should have gotten the student pricing, without the extra three games and wireless controller, but clearly all items are in stock.

This appears to be a price mistake. $539 for XBOX1 + Kinect + 6 games + one additional controller is insane.

How do they check student status? I still have my uni email but graduated in 2013.
I think it's a mistake. They never had any discount for xbox one consoles. Would be strange to randomly offer it now. But MS has absolutely atrocious customer service and stock management for their online store. I waited weeks on end for them to get games back in stock for the bundles.

I just got off a 20 minute phone call with the sales team somewhere in the US, and managed to snag the Xbox One with Kinect Assassin's Creed Bundle with Halo Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2, and 12 months Xbox Live Gold membership, for $524.
It seems like it depends heavily on your salesperson as to what result you'll get.

Why $75?
The salesperson said it wasn't possible to input a discount code for student pricing on the non-student store, but for some situations they have discount codes of specific dollar amounts ($50, $75, $100) that the salesperson can get from their supervisor. The salesperson said that because there's no code for $60 (the student pricing discount), I was likely going to get the $50 code, and was surprised (and excited) when the supervisor gave them the $75 code.
The service I received was absolutely spectacular. The salesperson genuinely wanted to help me out, and did everything they could to get it sorted.

They make it too difficult. Shouldn't have to phone up and waste time, get lucky with sales assistants etc. MS Store has to be one of the most poorly managed stores I have come across.
Thought I'd try anyway after people said they didnt have any luck and managed to get the deal! :) Took about 25min to work everything out and do verification but the lady I talked to managed to put the normal AC bundle + 3 games through (with Xbox Live instead of the controller) for $449 after getting a coupon from her supervisor.
If you're polite, patient and open for negotiation I'd still give them a ring. It worked for me! Just ask if theres anything they can do and be as polite at possible. It really does pay off. Couldnt be happier.

I got offered the $449 with live instead of controller on my second attempt. 40 mins into the call she went to get the final ok from supervisor but hung up on me :( so I guess its my destiny to get destiny on PC instead.
I think the issue is they are sold out of extra controller.
I thought that as well, but if you put the full priced bundle with Live into your cart, you have the option to add a controller for whatever it costs, but it doesn't say it's out of stock or anything.
They have stock of the controller, I think it's more likely their system doesn't have the bundle so can't put an order through.
I think richieisnow is right; its something to do with the controller. I talked to a support tech on chat and he mentioned that something is probably out of stock on that bundle, not the AC console itself. The only thing different from the standard and the student deal is the controller.
When I spoke on the phone, the saleswoman was able to put through the Xbox Live but not the controller… so I think that's the problem here.
Good news guys, I talked to the person that did the original $75 off code, and said I knew more people interested. He said if they wanted to email him with their number, he'll call them back and fix them up. I don't want his email to get inundated (and he's a really nice guy) so PM me if you want it. Also, there's a very, very good chance that not only do you get the $539 bundle for $524 with the extra controller, but that they will ALSO just throw in 1 year live because they're not REPLACING the live with the controller so much as shipping out an extra controller at a later time

They cant even process it as a 'student bundle' at the moment, so be prepared for a 45min phone call and the possibility of a no. Because you're not buying it now, you're attempting to get a refund for something thats over a week old and on a price they're having great difficulty in clearing for even new customers lol

Got the same. Kind of glad I did still give them a call last night and got the bundle without Kinect for $449. Now I am in two minds as to whether I want to keep it. lol. Thinking of pulling out FM5, Horizon 2 and 12 month live and throwing in Titanfall and another month of live and selling it for a few bucks less. Tempted to wait for a 1TB box. :/
