Missed HN boxing day A6000 deal and I have been looking around for a Sony Alpha A6000 or A5100 deal. Found this pricing at Camera House. Not bad for twin kit lens. If you don't mind not having EVF and hot-shoe, this one could potentially save you up to $200. Same internal as A6000, inherited all the A6000 specs, slightly better video quality with XACVS codec compared to A6000.

I picked up mine at Croydon store.

  not bad, pity about the EVF absence.

  positives: even smaller body than a6000 & zoom lens can be sold on flabby or GT for $160 - $180 (i did with mine from me HN a6000 deal).

  EDIT: Harvey Norman has the a6000 twin lens kit for $797 , it was $597 the first time around on their Boxing Day sale, Boxing Day sale is still on…but price ?

    The EVF absence is a strength of this model, not a con. If you want EVF get an a6000.

  I purchased the a6000 2 weeks ago online and they haven't delivered yet. Emailed HN a couple of times to find out the bonus lens is out of stock..

  I was excited about the a5100 until I've heard it has a crappy touch screen which is good for nothing

  I ordered the $597 HN deal on Sunday, camera and 55-200mm lens was delivered Tuesday. I hope the 16-50mm lens (back ordered) is delivered before I head OS next week.

        In my case they still have the kit (not separated), which was very rare. But they ran out of stock for the 55-210

        I just picked up the 16-50mm after they called me. It had a price tag on it of $497!

  i beleive that a6000 is now being also sold body only boxes, and 16-50 separate boxes. so it could be possible to sell out of 16-50's?

  a5100 has the same focus system as the a6000, twin lens for $599 is pretty good in my mind. i beleive the price of the a6000 has increased as well

    I emailed Gerry Gibbs about the promotion and they send me the link for twin kit lens which is $799. No deal.
