i can confirm, these are delicious

now if only i could find a way to buy up all remaining stock in my local without looking like a greedy porker.

    • Just say you plan on reselling them, I'm sure that'll fix all the weird looks.

After you've been an OzBargainer for a while you stop worrying ;)

    • I personally think they are abit too sweet. But if you have a sweet tooth, this is for you.

      • i tried those old fashioned savoury mince pies. not for me. too beefy.

They're fine. I think they were $2 before xmas

They ranked pretty well in Choice Magazine too :)

I love this time of year. Don't buy any over Christmas as I don't celebrate it so I wait for this!

Any deals on freezers? Mine's full.

haven't had an awful mince pie yet. 37cent is a bargain. good find from cyan magenta yellow key!
And they are fruit so there's one of my 5 serves a day done.

These deals are great but it would also help if the respective Coles store is also mentioned by the OP. They are not available in all stores

Found deal at Macquarie centre NSW. There were heaps of them near checkout and fresh food areas. Happy hunting at other stores.

nuke them for 15 seconds and add thickened cream.

    • Local store also had/have these. Did not buy as the corners of the stars were a little grey (less than 1millmeter). Your strategy of buy, nuke and eat is good strategy.

      Good price though.

      • +1

        which stars?

        • +3

He's talking about different ones which are sold as a more premium line.
The grey is just the shortbread soaking up the liquid.

        • @EVL:
Sorry away from technology, my store same prices, dressed pastry were stars and not bands as shown.

And yes I did not investigate the corners apart from looking.

I have been known to clear clearance stock, ,leart lesson if you don't it will not be there when go back.

With pies (iced birthday cakes @ woolies) I always ask if the goods have been defrosted or frozen. Little cakes, birthday cakes some come in frozen to be iced (sorred for unintential pun - decorated with royal iceing - dam can't get away from it) at store.

  • pricing and stock varies store-by-store

  • Wish they wouldn't sugar-coat them.

  • +1

Kicking myself I didn't buy them when I saw them at Coles Macquarie also but have to watch the waistline…. Definitely nice with cream also custard.

  • +2

Wow; these are twice the price yet twice as popular already compared to last year

There's quite a few left at Fairfield West Coles. I saw them as I was finishing up my night shift (12am), so they'll still be there tomorrow.

Is this really a bargain considering how much toilet paper you will need to buy?

    • yes
lactose intolerance is a hidden hazard though most people dont realise it

    • Sirocco that doesn't even make sense

      • -1

Yes it does! Because you will be sitting on the toilet violently sharting these things out with an upset stomach.

        You've been warned!

        • i think i'd just be grateful and glad i wasn't talking s**t instead….

  • Nothing at both Coburg stores (VIC)

  • nothing at roselands it seems in nsw

  • 10c in Coles casuarina(dawin)

  • 37c? 37 upvotes? It's a sign!

    • if only they were 37 calories

      • +1

Mince Pie, Coles lattice top 60g, are 209 calories each.
I've been having these for breakfast, as my usual start to the day of a slice of bread with Olive Grove Classic Spread and marmalade comes in at 273 calories.
I agree totally with didsburydan, that these are delicious.
I bought the last two packets at Coles Narrogin (WA) when they were at 99c. I wonder if I could take one back in Perth for a cash refund and then buy three at 37c…

Did you have to take on a 2nd job to afford the increased usage of toilet paper?
