Move Your Domain Day and Support EFF - Namecheap Transfers @ $3.98 USD

NC15MYDD

Move Your Domain Day started on December 29th, 2011 when Namecheap and Reddit users teamed together to spark a mass exodus from registrar and hosting companies that did not support a free and open Internet. Since then, Namecheap has hosted an annual Move Your Domain Day, raising funds for the Electronic Frontier Foundation.Check out the Reddit thread that started it all!

Basically they will donate up to a couple of dollars per domain transferred and it's way cheaper than the $12 usual price. It's worth noting for .com, .net, .info and .org namecheap are usually way cheaper than any Australian registrars. Also you get free whois privacy for the first year.

It's also worth noting you can't transfer a .au domain into Namecheap. They have a good reputation though.

    • They don't want to have to look though the paperwork.

In 15 or so hours. Do it in a batch and you can have up to 50.

An additional $0.18 ICANN fee is charged for .com and .net transfers.

When you transfer, you receive an additional year on your domain.

Coupon codes are valid January 27, 2015 00:00 AM EST through 11:59 PM EST. Coupon usage is limited to 50 domains per household or business and one hosting plan per business or household.

Renewals for hosting plans are not included and available at regular rate.

Transfers and promotional purchases are first-come, first-served.
