  • $30-35 EACH. super expensive compared to $15-18 usually

    • isn't it a good deal because it is 2x 8 pack?

      • You have to add two to the cart to get the discount.

"Perfect Pair - 2 for the price of 1
Simply add 2 of this item to your cart to receive your discount.
Discount applied at checkout. Offer is available online only and ends 03/02/2015."

        • Thanks. you're right, it is expensive.
I just went by the post description "ENELOOPS chocolate 2x 8packs $29.98"
it should say $29.98 each. Cheers.

        • @CBR: Looks like it could be a pricing error though, the discount applied is only $29.98 which would be consistent with the prices mentioned above. Let's wait and see what happens.

  • OP the eneloop chocolate is showing as 49.98 each, if you add 2 to cart only 29.98 discount is applied making it a total of about 70 bux for 2

    • It is now coming up as $29.98 - $35.96 for 2 packs in the cart as OP described.

Just more DSE "sale" BS huh… This neg is not against the OP but the deal

    • Are you saying 2 packs of 8 AA eneloops for $30-35 is a bad deal or something else?

      • I guess not a "bad" deal, but rather the same as it always is.

  • according to google's cache, the eneloop powerbank was $9.98 only 2 days ago……….. now its $29.98 what a joke !!!!

    • +1

maybe OzB needs some sort of camel x 3 functionality for sites which regularly have deals posted against them.

    • When you put 2 into your cart they take $40 off, making it $19.98 for 2.

  • How does this deal compare to the $2 delivered by COTD in conjunction with coupon code a little while back?

  • +4

I get it the other way around when I add two packs to my cart:

    Subtotal: $99.96
    Delivery: To be calculated
    Discount: -$69.98
    TOTAL
    $29.98

    • +3

Same for me, pricing seems to have been corrected now so deal is 2 packs for $29.98

  • +1

2 packs came up as ~$30 for me.

  • wtf you all do with eneloops… i rarely use batteries in my house…

    • +4

There's bound to be a Udemy course on what to do with your 20,000 eneloops

    • Heaps of stuff - tv remotes, cameras, ps4 remotes, remote control cars, clocks, agitator, bedroom toys, torch and so on. I buy every now and then and currently need more AAA's.

      • TV remotes & clocks i use batteries for… but i change them like once every 2 years…

toys is a good one but i dont got kids (or enough adult toys)

    • +1

      It's the Ozbargain currency!

    • +1

The wife's toy is battery powered. I guess those with lots of eneloops have a missus who chews through the batteries.

      • +4

Or a problem with their own "toy" if she needs that many batteries.

    • +4

As above, RC toys for my kids and I, torches, my xbox controllers, wii controllers.
I have C and D "adapters" that you slip a AA into so that you can use them in devices that requrie bigger batteries (my 6-month-old's swing thing takes THREE D's and FOUR C's!!).
2000mah lasts long enough that it's not a pain to change them when they go flat, and my AA charger is an intelligent trickle charger that takes 8 batteries at a time. As soon as some are flat, I have more ready to go.

Good for the environment, good for your wallet!

what's this shit DSE are pulling now…. 8 packs of AA chocs and trops for $49.98????

I should neg DSE (not OP) for their bullshit pricing and maths fail… even if the final price for two packs is $29.98

  • -7

Is OzB now sponsored by DSE??????

Pulling all the negs when this is no deal.
It's the standard "sale" price with forced postage.

I thought this website was open to the public to decide whether this is a deal not the mods to modify voting.

Quick ebay search gives results cheaper after delivery.

Also after your vote is removed you are not able to re-vote??? C'mon OzB…

  • Definately tempting… Just need to figure out where I could use them lol

edit: why are the chocolat's cheaper out of curiosity? Is it just because they tropical's are Limited ed's?

    • Made in Japan vs China theory I guess? It doesn't matter to me though. No one can actually prove which one is better quality, time (in about 10-15 years) will tell I guess.

With shipping (no stock in the entire state apparently), that's still about $20 a pack. I'll just wait a few days and they'll be half price with free shipping - DSE deals change more often than a woman's mind!

  • I agree, this is not really a deal. But I won't neg it because then I'll get berated asking "find me a better deal", when history shows that these things have been considerably cheaper in the past!
I also find it interesting that not a single store in this state (that I can find) has a single set in stock. They must have sold a few in my local overnight then!!!

  • Thanks OP.
I have enough Eneloops to last me a lifetime - Said no one ever.
