It's a great watch. I'm using every feature besides VIRB (don't have one) and as read in the reviews, the sleep function is not as sophisticated as FitBit.
I never knew that the smartphone notifications and music controller are actually very handy features. I bought this watch for a similar price at a sale at AMART.

Purchased one for the Mrs for Christmas. Nice device but I need to re-pairing it to her phone after each recharge.

  • Deleted.

  • Beat price from rebel for 138.93. Hornsby DS doesn't have stock for pickups. I am lazy bum so researched and found out rebel does 10% price beat. Rebel only honours $154.15 from DS website price not the DROP20 20 buck further discount. Just 5 buck difference for pickups, so it's okay to me.

I bought one of these after getting sick of waiting for the Fitbit Force (which was recalled due to causing skin rash and was never released in Australia - the replacement model Fitbit Charge was recently released).

I bought the Garmin Vivosmart HRM bundle in November 2014. My favourite feature is that it vibrates and tells you to "Move!" if it doesn't detect any significant movement for an hour - really useful as I sit at an office desk pretty much all day…

The alarm vibrate feature is strong enough to wake me up every weekday morning, and the sleep monitoring feature is pretty interesting (you can see your light/deep sleep pattern). The touchscreen is a cool feature on such a sleek device and makes so much more sense than having a hardware button. Battery life is about 1-2 weeks (depending on the brightness setting, how often you check the time, steps, etc. and whether you use the activity tracker feature that records the duration, heart rate [via the HRM], movement, etc. during your workouts).

The Garmin heart rate monitor (HRM) works with my rowing machine too (Concept2 Model D).

One thing to note is that your smartphone needs to have "Bluetooth Smart" for the smartphone notifications and music controls to work:
