  • I was charged $2 for what i do not know, and it didn't even work with my Gmail account.

    • how'd you know that already? sometimes takes time to update.

and also, just wondering. I signed up to it this morning.
Is there a download limit for files?
I assume links outside of the email are either charged for or disabled.
Also, what happens if I am overseas on roaming. Will I need to disable this?

edit: just noted you negatived it - that's a rubbish reason to do it.

      • I signed up to it a couple of days ago and downloaded 3's bloated app onto my N95. I tried to get it to work with my Gmail account on several different occasions, it refused to work i was always in full 3G coverage, I checked my bill and then noticed i had been charged $2 above my cap so for those reasons I'm giving this deal a -ve vote.

        • you should check with their call centre.

        • So because you signed up and paid for this application before the free promotion was around you think it is a bad deal?

If it doesnt work with your gmail account it is something you are doing wrong.
Have you enabled POP/IMAP in your gmail account?

You could just install the gmail application to your hone

          • @anthony: I just received my bill for October and noticed that I also got charged for $2. I signed up sometime at the end of October, and I swear that was when the promotion period had already started (otherwise I wouldn't have even looked at it).

Time to share my anger to their customer service!

  • What makes this better than hotmail ?

    • Hotmail is rubbish, but there are good email provides out there. Like gmail. Gmail is actually superior to a lot of desktop clients, like outlook and lotus. Searches are quicker and better It provides pop3 access (unlike hotmail), so you can backup all your email yourself, if that is important to you. And it doesn't have the ugly ads that Hotmail and yahoo have.

If you are using vista and have not disabled indexing service or you have XP and have installed windows smart search then searches in OUtlook are pretty much instant (just like gmail) as your emails are indexed and when you search outlook simply looks in the index file rather than each individual email.

This is just an email client (like outlook) that allows you to access your hotmail and gmail etc

    • As kirt said, this is an email client (compatible with some mobile phones), not an email service.

I signed up for this offer last week. It is entirely FREE. You need to use the Email on Three Ap which you can set up to retrieve any email (Hotmail,Gmail, Your work email etc).

I didn't sign up to this offer but have it included as part of my plan. Push email is great, and I believe they don't even charge you if you're roaming to Telstra.

Works with my Gmail POP and an Exchange POP.

Obviously clicking links that open your browser will incur Mobile Internet usage, but I don't think attachments will.

  • It works with my Gmail, Yahoo & Hotmail accounts. I think it's great. I had already subscribed to one of their essentials packs but never used the emails until now.

  • Seems Legit!

    Great Deal.
