40 keys to success

It takes more than fast thumbs and a stone cold focus to stay on top of your inbox and the day’s priorities. You need navigation keys that do more than ‘go home’, and a physical keyboard that has no rival. Navigate with confidence using the optical track pad, menu and back keys, or answer, start and end phone calls with the dedicated phone keys. Combine your typing finesse with the power of BlackBerry 10 and your capacity for collaboration will have no equal.

Fast and beautiful web browsing

The new BlackBerry 10 web browser is amazingly fast and astoundingly beautiful. That’s why HTML5TEST.com rates it amongst the top mobile browsers for web fidelity. Access your favorite online content as it was meant to be seen, faster than ever before and with unlimited browser tabs. Spend less time waiting, and more time doing.

All your messages in one place

BlackBerry® Hub is the one place to manage all your conversations – email, text, BBM™, phone calls, social media and more. The all-new instant actions feature will allow you to quickly organize and action your inbox without having to go into each individual message. Plus, BlackBerry Priority Hub will get to know you and how you use your smartphone, curating a view of the most important messages and notifications. And it’s always available with a single swipe to help you stay organized, in control and on top of all your conversations.

A battery that powers through

The BlackBerry Classic contains a sizeable 2515 mAh battery and state of the art power optimization software, delivering the best possible battery performance. With up to 22 hours of battery power1, you can be confident that your BlackBerry Classic will be ready to deliver results when you need it to.

Your personal assistant

BlackBerry® Assistant allows you to manage your email, contacts, calendar and other BlackBerry 10 features through voice and text commands. It helps you to execute tasks quickly such as responding to important emails, scheduling a meeting or getting directions.

BlackBerry Assistant is intelligent enough to respond to you based on your situation. Speak freely to it and it will respond in kind. Type a query and it will respond simply with information on the screen. When you’re connected to Bluetooth® in the car, it knows you can’t look at the screen and will interact with you completely eyes and hands free.

Get more out of every conversation

Chat face-to-face with BBM™ Video, and even share what’s on your screen, while enjoying better sound quality. BlackBerry® Natural Sound technology enables you to hear nuances and variations in tone, giving your BBM™ Voice3 and BBM™ Video calls a clearer, more natural quality.

Preview incoming messages

With Instant Previews, you can preview incoming BBM, text and email messages from within any app on your BlackBerry Classic. They appear at the top of your screen to notify without disrupting. Just touch them to be taken directly to that message in the BlackBerry Hub, or respond to your BBM and text chats without leaving the app you are in. You don’t have to stop what you’re doing, saving you time in going back and forth between apps.

Now this is genuinely pissing me off.
People dribble such bull and everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

      Why do we need blackberry?
Because they're the only ones making half decent phones.

Things no one can compete with yet:
      1. Obvious; the Keyboard.
      2. 3 Days battery life.
      4. App library (BB store + Google Play + Unsigned APK's without root)
      5. Outright price for performance (whats an iphone\samsung worth outright?)
      6. Status. a Blackberry to this day, in a big office, is still the sign of a business man. an iPhone looks like a gaming handheld.

      I'm not a rampant fanboy,
I can acknowledge iPhones are very easy to use and have a high reliability.
I can acknowledge Android has a broad range of handhelds at different price points, and is super configurable.

How about we just propose a question:
Why wouldn't you choose the phone with the biggest range of apps, longest battery life, (arguably) lowest price for performance, and is OK to have on the table in a business meeting?

I will genuinely buy Android again when I can have a physical keyboard (so acronyms don't try to auto correct when typing a document), and when I can get more than 48 hours battery life with heavy use.

        • good thing I'm not. Just a purveyor of truth who is easily annoyed by lies.

    It isn't April yet.

  • BB has one of the largest number of patents for mobile security. This is the reason the company is still in business and governments around the world forced them to share crypto keys because they could not decipher BB encrypted traffic. We all understand privacy here right! That is what BB did long before apples and bananas learnt to spell encryption. If you have not used BB then grapes are sour for you. Not the best user interface but that is not what BB has ever been known for.

  • I'm holding out for a decent price on a Q10. I don't have a smartphone at the moment, I still own a old Nokia bar phone. The reason I would like to get a BB instead of what else is on the market is the operating system, and the keyboard. I foresee a 7 inch phone in 2016.
