Just bear in mind that they are "Grocery" eGift cards so restrictions apply, some people are using Cash Rewards as well and getting an extra 5% off.

    • Oh man. Should have read this first before jumping on the deal. Forgot about using cash rewards. Dang it.

  • Aww yiss. Heres hoping for another $20 off $100 at woolies for maximum cheapskate

    • Unfortunately, I believe these are 'Groceries Only' eGift cards which cannot be redeemed online.

How to Redeem - From Groupon Page

        1) Buy your Woolworths eGift Card on Groupon
        2) Ensure you enter correct address at checkout on Groupon website
        3) Woolworths eGift Card will be emailed to you in approx. 2-4 business days from the domain @everydaygiftcards.com.au
        4) You will not be sent a Groupon voucher via email, only use the Woolworths eGift Card for redemption
        5) Use the Woolworths eGift Card in-store or online by following the instructions on the eGift Card
        • Woolworths eGift Card is valid for 12 months from the issue date

        • Its odd that the party issuing the eCard (Woolworths) and the third party selling the card (Groupon) have differing things to say about redemption. Does consumer protection legislation provide recourse against Groupon if they've stuffed up?

        • +1

@Propaganda: Groceries gift cards come in physical version only. Electronic version is available for WISH and Store gift cards. https://everydaygiftcards.com.au/. We can definitely pull up Groupon, as the T&C on the deals page also points to WISH gift cards.

      • Guess that'll teach me not to read T&Cs. Not much of an 'egift' if you can't use it online

Oh well, still useful to me.

  • Nice one, cheers! Got two $500 gift cards for $425 each (one each for me and the missus' accounts).

    • Max disc is $50, am I wrong?

      • Two accounts?

      • removed. wrong reply.

      • $500 - $50 - ( $500 * .05 ) = $425

Can't believe I missed out on this! Only minutes too late. :-(

  • Thanks OP, just picked up a $200 card for $161.50. Pretty happy about that!

  • Totally awesome.

  • Do I have to use the egift card at once or it can be used for few times?

    • +1

you can use it as long as you have credit in ur gift card :D

      • Thanks for the quick reply =)

  • If I use cashrewards to go to the site, then do a search for the Woolworths deal. It opens in a new tab. Will it still work?

    • buying the gc? of course, but getting cr % off, no

      • Well cashrewards sent an email saying they are tracking it, so who knows?

  • +1

Use a groupon gift card to make it 34.25% off!

    • How does that work???, do you use the groupon card to purchase a woollies card?.

      • +2

        yeah kinda like giftcard inception.
buy groupon gc with 15% off. wait for next 15% off deal and buy ww gift card with it.

        • Oorrr think long term and get a few 15% off groupon cards in a row. It's to early for those calculations Mr Turd but you have sowed a seed.

  • Is there a limit per person or groupon account, to using AWESOME and 5% off egift card deal.
Groupon website is not working so cant check right now.
Any way to bypass if limit is enforced, so can buy 5x $200 eGift cards?

    • +3

5x groupon accounts, but morally wrong, vut hey it is ozbargains, some gotta save for a home in sydney

      • Thanks BigT,
Morals still hanging in there. Made 2nd groupon account. Bought a $500 egift card, which gives 15% off.
Was going to buy with 5% discount anyway, so with 15% off, 1/2 price specials, free delivery, wow coupons etc, mighty deals at the moment delivered to your door. Can't complain.
        Thanks for posting tonester.

        • You only have 10.53% off if you buy $500 card because of the discount limit at $50 so it is best to buy $200 gc

        • Obviously you don't give a stuff about the woolies shareholders

        • @Peanut money:
the woolies shareholders don't likely lose sleep over false advertising, price manipulation, gross profits, hurting established hard-earned brands being replaced by Select brand products, 'cetra, 'cetra, 'cetra.
          This is WAR dude … enjoy :^}

From experience decades ago, I was a Woolies shareholder, and I didn't think much beyond sell price profit level being reäched, and dividends.

    • Had to login to Groupon and look like they allow you to use AWESOME coupon just once

  • hey guys.. long time user first time poster. about ten minute ago i bought one of the page refreshed the special code dissapeared and i paid the $190 is there anything i can do? :(

  • Bought $500 card with Cashrewards so net paid $400. I can now justify using that $100 saved for a new something. Hmm

    • are you sure cashrewards will pay you? 100% sure. dont wanna put you hopes up

    • +3

Cashback is currently not payable on Any Woolworths Group Gift Cards purchased through Groupon.

    • You don't get max discount for $500 gc, discount only apply to 1 item in cart so if you add 2x $200 you will only get discount for 1 gc

      • You can buy a $500 gift card.

  • Hmm didn't check that. Oh well $75 is still a great saving. Card should last me 2 months. Yeah I don't eat a lot. Gets mum worried.

  • How do I delete a comment

    • You can edit a comment, up to an hour (I think) after posting it, as long as nobody has replied directly to it. Otherwise, hit the report link under your comment and choose wisely ;)

  • Pretty sure you get 4.5% with PricePal. Well, I do as a Founder member. Other people might get a smaller cutback. Works with Groupon and Wish cards.

      • Oh feck. Still, can't complain at $75 off a $500 card (x2).

  • thanks, got one

  • Only being able to use once?

  • Thanks I grabbed a $200 one.

  • Brilliant, paid $425 for a $500 voucher! We spend about $200/week there (family of 4).
Now to get wifey to do the same :)

  • Weird, just bought two, one on my and one on wife's account.

Both times in my account after paying, the order comes up as saying
    savings: 10.00
    total: 190.00,

even though I double checked and confirmed voucher was in and $161.50 was the total.

    Same for anyone else?

    • +2

I'm getting the same thing, with $190 shown in my Groupon account, but my Paypal receipt shows a payment of $161.50.

      • cool thank you. Paid by CC so couldnt yet tell exactly what had been charged.

    • Same here.. I paid by credit card so have to wait coupld of days to see exact charges.

I did apply code and could see 161.xx while checkout. However, in account summary it shows 190.00.

    • +1

      Don't Panic!!!!!

I doubled checked the total at checkout and it was definitely $161.50 for a $200 gift card.

I paid by credit card and I cannot see the transaction yet but I added the "current balance" and the "amount available" and subtracted that total from my credit card limit and the difference was $161.50.

Groupon is showing the transaction as $190 but I am pretty sure that that is the pre-voucher discount amount so there is not an issue.

  • These can be used at Woolworths, BigW, Caltex, and Masters - right?

    • Yes.

    • I think at Woolworths Only. They are a Grocery eGift card.

      • If it is a groceries only card, they can not be used on recharges, tobacco and alcohol. However there is nothing stopping you from doing so, if staff don't see its a groceries only card, just put it in yourself. Alternative is to use self checkout.

  • AWeSOME! thanks op

  • I am going to spend $350 at Masters tomorrow. Can this be used?

    • Yes, but it will take some time to get the GC

      • Go to your Groupon account under purchased and click on View Voucher. Not sure if that's the actual voucher but it's a scannable code?

    • Only if you get this by email before that. It says may take 2-4 days before the egift card is emailed/

    • -1

It looks like it is for groceries only :-( so won't work at Masters or any other store except Woolworths.

  • Thanks Bro!

  • These CANNOT be used at Caltex, according to their site. Unfortunate :(

    https://everydaygiftcards.com.au/

    • Last time I bought these, I went in woolies, bought wish cards and used them fine at caltex.

    • it can't be used at Caltex, but can be used at Caltex Woolworths, just got to find one of those from their website.

  • Deal posted at 2.51 am. Great work tonester, Ozbargain never sleeps!

  • Cheers.

  • That is "awesome"! Discounts on almost cash are always welcome! :)

  • I applied the discount code and paid with paypal but got charged the full amount damn it…

    • Your PayPal receipt shows $190 or the Groupon order?

My Groupon order shows $190 after purchase but $161.50 at checkout.

      • i bought the $500 one and the paypal receipt shows $475

        • :(

  • +1

Unless you never buy much; Should buy the $500 card for 15% discount. Greater savings overall.

    • The post said maximum disc is $50, how people can buy $500 ones for $425?

      • +1

        it's 5% off so that's $25 off, plus the code maximum $50 = $75, $500-$75=$425

    • +2

if you buy the $200 one, you maximize the saving to 19.25%, meanwhile, with the $500 value one, you maximise the saving to 15% only, so … not saving more but spending more for bigger value gift card. Still, if you plan to spend more than $200, then obviously the $500 is the best for that purpose

  • Suppose Ozbargainers can open up new accounts and get referral credit as well as using discount code?

  • just want to double check if it can it be used for dan murphy online? As someone mentioned in the eariler comments it is only grocery giftcard and have limitations for use……thanks

    • -2

      Computer Says…… No! Cough!

  • Thanks got the $200 gift card

  • Thanks tonester! =)

  • Has anyone got their gift card emailed from Woolies yet?
