  • Thanks OP signed up with Bankwest

  • Does Westpac have this?

  • +2

Commbank, BankWest, Bendigo Bank & NAB only (so far) Masterpass

    • Is the site broken for anyone else? I click Commonwealth Bank, even the little button to the right of it, and nothing ever happens.

      • Had to turn off Ghostery and ABP for it to work (using chrome), it links to Commbank Checkout.

True OzBargainer never pays full price for movie ticket. For the matter of fact we never pay full price for anything here :)

Great deal if combined with $11 Telstra movies https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/185581

  • Pretty good for Australia Fair where tickets are only about $7.50 anyway… Assuming they have not opted out given the low price?

    • +2

I used it at Australia Fair, Gold Coast and got it. All transactions that have a ticket seem to be included, regardless of the price.

    • Woah, I recently moved 5 minutes drive from Australia Fair, thanks for letting me know about that!
Went to Robina and used the Telstra Thanks last time I wanted to catch a film.

Edit - nevermind, it's Pacific Fair near me. Lol

Just wondering can you use this for Village cinemas too?

    • I've always wondered this. Event owns/is Village. I always see vouchers on OzB but don't know if they'll work.

  • Alright, unique barcode? Anyone care to share the email with voucher (even after used)

Its not a bad deal for us students!

I pay $6.50 for my movie tickets, if I use online I pay a booking fee of like a dollar and I get a small popcorn and drink.

    Not bad for $7.50!

  • Just wondering let say if i buy 3 tickets together pay with Masterpass,do i get 3 popcorn and drink or I need to buy in 3 separate time to get 3 popcorn and 3 drinks? Thanks

    • +1

I guess it's one voucher per transaction based on previous offers. Also you are paying only once per transaction irrespective of ticket count.

  • This is like paypal right?

  • Purchased 2 tickets last night via Telstra movie rewards and MasterPass. No voucher for popcorn yet… Maybe doesn't work for everyone?

    • Same here.. no vouchers yet

  • Hello, need a little help. Can see one run me through how I retrieve this voucher. Or do I just turn up to the movies and pay with masterpass and get the drink/popcorn free. Thanks

  • After you make a purchase using MasterPass then the voucher should get emailed to you.

I can't find any further info on the Event Cinemas Website either, but staff seemed to know about it when I presented my voucher.

  • Tried it with an entertainment book e-ticket, paid the $1.20 booking fee with masterpass. Let's see if it goes through. Nothing yet.

I wonder how long this offer is open for?

    • (replying to myself, the morning after purchase)

      Nothing received as yet…

  • I believe that you select the ticket adult" or whatever you desire, then the ticket after confirmation payment with the ticket session is the one you show for the free drink+ popcorn.

    • Last time they ran this promo it was a separate email

  • No voucher emailed here for a ticket earlier today…
    Anyone got one today?

  • Bought 2 tickets yesterday for Cinderella and until now nothing receive

    • Until now still receive nothing!

  • So uhhh
    Where are our vouchers…

  • Asked MasterCard on Facebook, they said voucher takes 1-3 days, but if it doesn't arrive after that you can contact them and they'll look into it.

  • I have just seen the movie I bought with Masterpass, free Popcorn and Drink voucher is nowhere to be seen.

    • How to claim it since we have no receive any voucher?

  • Anyone heard back from them on Facebook yet?

  • Just got my vouchers!!! Bought two tickets (separately) for Avengers AoU on the 18th at 00:30 QLD time and I just received the two vouchers in a single email.
    Awesome!!!
(By the way, I used the GC vouchers from the December promotion and just paid the 3D and booking fee with MasterPass).
They are good until the 20/11

  • Bought my tickets last Friday, just received the voucher now. Takes about a week it seems. (Booked via Telstra tickets too)

  • Just received my voucher. Bought on Saturday, only paid a $1.10 booking fee.

  • I got mine also. I thought it would have come when I ordered and since I won't be going to the movies again for a long time does anyone want it?

    • Yes please!

    • Chicken dinner!
      Thank you

  • Still waiting for my voucher…sad!!!!

  • Booked a movie for tonight, wonder I will get mine?

Just an update: This deal is still valid. I used Masterpass for booking the free (from the old Masterpass promo) Gold Class tickets yesterday and was pleasantly suprised to get a voucher for small popcorn and drink today :). I should have done two separate transactions to get 2 vouchers but one is still better than nothing.

    • +1

Separate transactions are always the way to go :)

      • Haha yeah, I didn't think the deal was still on. I just saw the Masterpass option on checkout so I used it just in case :-).
