More importantly, it can be click and collected (in contrast to recent offerings).

  • +3

even though I don't need eneloops, because I already have a room full of them along with 2 x BC900 chargers, I still click on this bargain. Why?!?! O_O

    • +7

I've got so many envelops I haven't even had a need to charge them yet.

      • Badge "Eneloop" received!

    • Delivery only…

Thank god, I was about to order some C&C (which I didn't need).

      • The Chocolat aa are click & collect.

        • good luck funding stock in store.

    • +1

Or combine with this and return the Chromecast to a shop if you don't need it. $6 deliverey saved.

    • Thanks OP. Just bought 2 sets of AA and 1 set of AAA home delivery(5.95 extra)
Very decent price for Eneloop. Great quality.

  • have we seen
DEAL MANIA! ONE DAY ONLY SALE!
    from dse yet?

  • Does this charge both AA and AAA batteries?

  • -6

Can we start negging these deals as they fall under the false pretense of being "Today Only"?
edit: Plus remember folks, this is just the 'dumb' charger with Chinese batteries inc!

    • Thanks mate… I almost jumped onto this one without a second thought cos I got confused between the quick and overnight chargers given the price and that c&c was available at my local DS. But yeah, saw your post and took the time to search back to the previous thread that I asked the question and luckily got that cleared up. I'll give this one a miss…

    • are they stop selling japanese made ones?

      • Stopped making them altogether, eneloop was bought by panasonic and moved manufacturing to china

        • -1

are these chinese made ones still good like the japanese made ones?

        • @mazuko: unclear, most people that have tested the difference say the chinese are inferior, but better then most rechargebles on the market. If you search ozbargain and go through previous posts this q has come u a lot and links have been posted to forums where people have tested themselves

        • -2

Technically incorrect. Panasonic do not have Eneloop made in Japan anymore, but you can still get the exact same Japanese batteries in the form of Fujitsu… and potentially any other brands that may use the FDK batteries!
Also, DS still have stock of the Jap made Eneloops as does Masters!

Edit: Thanks for the negs, just proves how much SPAM people like being posted on this site nowadays!

        • @Snoop: just for reference i didn't neg you. Comes down to the eye of the beholder if its a deal or not hence the voting system.
Its cheaper then rrp regardless of how often it comes on special as 9 months of the year (assuming) they're only available at rrp from ol' dickies.

        • @sigh:
My issues are; a. The ridiculously over-inflated RRP in which I'd be very surprised if it accounted for even 1% of sales; and b. The fact that we're receiving 2 or 3 emails a day from DS with these 'specials'!
There's enough sites out there that have been branded as spammers in the past by mods for doing similar!

        • @Snoop: a true ozbargainer never pays retail, let alone assumes that is the 'normal' price!
Just unsubscribe, i did ages ago, figured if theres anything worth looking at let alone worth buying a fellow ozbargainer will let me know, if it doesn't sell out first!

  • "Temporarily out of stock"

    :-|

    • You have to put your post code in, it's still available in lots of stores.

      • I've put in my postcode, still not getting anything. Is it all sold out? Or am i just doing it all wrong?

        • Worked it out…chrome is just playing silly buggers. Worked fine in safari.

  • is it free delivery.

  • +2

quick today only…. !!! never to be repeated……..

  • I bought two, seems worth it for the cells alone, click and collect.

    • Or you could of bought one charger with 4 cells & an 8 pack of Chocolat aa for the same price.
The Chocolat aa are also click & collect.

  • What is the average charge time for the supplied batteries?

  • +1

When global warming hits and the world ends up like Waterworld, Eneloop batteries will be the default currency.

    The Admiral has spoken.

    • +2

Sounds like a trap to me..

    • +1

      Its a trap!

  • Is the overnight charger any good, or is only the quick charger worth buying (have heard quick charger is good, but not overnight one)???

    • This one needs to be charged in pairs - see the A and B next to the Ni-MH logo? I like this one This charger has multi voltage capability and allows you to charge 1 to 4 AA or AAA batteries individually.

    • +1

The USB and quick charger can also charge individual cells. Where as the overnight charger works in pairs and can only charge 2 or 4 batteries at a time.

      • +1

The Quick charger is $64 though… we're talking $15 with $26 worth of batteries in it aren't we?

I can afford to drop the batteries out of my xbox controller (in pairs) and leave them overnight, they'll be charged long before the next pair I put in went flat. Perfect for me, xbox one plus turtlebeach wireless headphones, both take double AA's , so will always be flat in pairs.

Good idea to keep the pairs together for their life, so they don't end up with different charge levels, that's what killed my last set, one went bad due to too much mix and match and not knowing the twin… so I'll be putting numbers on mine!

    • -1

This charger is crap. It isn't a smart charger like the fast charger so you can easily over charge your batteries.

I was so annoyed when I found this out after I bought it.

      • -3

Pointless isn't it. It's kinda like buying a Ferrari and running it on regular!

      • +2

That's no reason to neg the deal. The OP didn't mention that it is a smart charger. There might be people who can want a overnight charger rather than spending triple the price for a smart charger. Also it's the best price available for an overnight charger with four batteries. All the other known brands costs you at least $29.

        • -2

You are missing the point. It isn't that the charger is slow, it can damage the batteries. Now that isn't a bargain.

If the batteries have charge in them, how long do you run the charger for?

Makes it very easy to over charge and damage the cells.

          I won't use the one I have.

        • @not a bargain:
It's alright, they're only the cheap knock off Chinese ones, so it doesn't matter if you kill them! ;)

        • Oh, and perfectly valid reason for a neg vote:

          Appropriate uses of negative vote
•Major issue with product in that it doesn't work the way it should.

        • +1

I'm not that bright & I manage to use it with no issue's.
I fully drain the batteries before charging and set my phone alarm for the required time.
When I bought it I read the description so I knew what I was getting, not after.
Even if you didn't read it before buying, common sense would tell you that a Eneloop branded charger with 4 Eneloop batteries for $15.00 isn't going to be smart.

        • -1

          @luke73:
I paid $20 for mine… and it's the quick charger. Doubt I'll ever have an issue with leaving them in there!
In fact, I took one out of a kid's toy last night and threw it on charge, woke this morning, and voila, done!

The issue with what you're suggesting is that you have to make sure they're completely drained. And even then you don't really know because different devices have different levels of power required to operate them. ie. It's pretty rare you'll completely drain using them in a remote control car!
It does come with a timer cut, but if they're not drained you'll have to time it correctly at what time you start charging them taking into consideration what time it'll take to charge and where you may be at that time so that you're not leaving them in there any longer! Sounds like more hassle then cooking a roast!

        • @Snoop:

That's because the quick charger doesn't have this problem. It is designed to manage the charge.

  • Thanks OP, bought 2 pack. Anyone know the battery are China made or Japan made ? I guess it could be china-made because the brand is now under Panasonic instead of Sanyo. I purchased some chocolate / tropical enenlope, and now I could charge them together with additional chargers. Great found, thanks.

    • +1

Made in China. But they're still decent, very good batteries. Haven't needed to recharge mine yet, been a few months..

      • thanks. jennkei

  • +1

Thanks OP just bought my first set of Eneloops after years of observing countless others cave in at the sight of the word Eneloop

  • Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if I can charge AAA batteries in the charger than comes with the AA deal?

    Cheers

    • Long answer: I already ask the question if you read up the comments a little bit.

Short answer: The answer was 'yes'

  • Anyone knows good places to get a La Crosse charger?

  • Will this model discharge prior charging the batteries?

    • +1

No, you need to do this some other way.

      • Thanks for your reply. I'll pass this time :)

  • Thanks OP. Just bought 2 sets of AA and 1 set of AAA home delivery(5.95 extra)
Very decent price for Eneloop. Great quality.

  • Overnight charger is that a charge time of around 8 hours? How many kilowatt of electricity does it take to charge 4 AA?

    • You serious, KW for charging batteries, if you want that , then max 2KW for 1 month.

  • I bought the charger (have already collected too from the Broadmeadows VIC store) and 8 pack of AA tropical and AAA Chocolate for delivery. Thanks OP!

  • Yeah another Eneloop offer, today only and ONLINE :)
