  • really?
    RRP: $429.00
    i call bullshit on that…..

    • Hi Tuzii!
      What a great question! :-)
RRP is correct and as advised from our suppliers and is the same as other retailers display.

Swiss Diamond is extremely good quality cookware and has a lifetime guarantee.

Thanks and have a great day! :-)

    • RRP = Recommended Retail Price
That doesn't mean that's what anyone actually sells it for, except maybe David Jones.

      • +3

The point is it is illegal to use RRP as a price comparison if you do not normally sell the item for that price.

        • But they provided their current price, so I thought that was the comparison.

        • @legiong:

But they provided their current price

It had the RRP as a comparison but it has since been removed…

        • @jv:
          ANOTHER RETAILER HIDING FACTS….
          another reason to not buy

        • @jv:
I know it was there before, but it wasn't the only comparison.

        • +1

          @legiong:

but it wasn't the only comparison.

It doesn't need to be the only comparison… Read the ACCC website.

Why put the RRP price there at all unless you are doing so for a comparison???

The ACCC laws are clear, if you don't normally sell at the RRP, you are not allowed to compare to the RRP, it is misleading

          Thanks for educating me.

I bought Swiss Diamond once a few years back and they are crap

The "non-stick" surface started to fail a few months in and it was pretty much useless in under a couple of years…

    • you buy something too JV?
I thought you only neg posts!

      • I thought you only neg posts!

        Obviously your thinking is flawed…

        • when can you neg again?

        • @tuzii:

          when can you neg again?

I do an extra neg on Leap years…

      • +1

you're confused - jv receives the negs…go ahead and neg him now - you'll enjoy it!

    • I totally agree. I've got two and they failed pretty quickly ~2 years.

If you need non stick then just buy cheaper brands and get new ones every few years. These are expensive and don't last.

    • The same happened to us, got one of the super expensive ones (hoping that it would last many years), but became non-non-stick within 12 months. And that's with using their recommendation of only cooking with medium heat (which makes it hard to brown anything). Now have a Tefal Induction pan that is like brand new after 2 years…

    1. Price in title please.
    2. I've used both. Tbh I can't say these are that much more superior then Tefal non-stick cookware. Overall if you're able to take good care of a Tefal non-stick surface. Stick to Tefal. Much better value.

      when?

      • Not sure what you're referring to when you say "when?, could you clarify?

    • +1

I buy my pans from catering supply stores. They tend to be built to stand up to abuse and I have found them to be significantly cheaper that the stuff they sell as the retailers

      • +1

Would you care to share some catering supply stores you buy form?

        • +1

Well - it's really dependent on where you live. I google "restaurant supply" or "catering supply" and find what's close. They're everywhere.

For the record - I have used these guys and these in the past.

Also a great place to get plates, cutlery, and other kitchen necessities like pint glasses for the home.

        • @fattyboombatty:

          Thanks for that, appreciate it
I realise it is location dependant, but always good to know which places come recommended

  • +4

Maybe this could be helpful if considering to purchase Swiss Diamond
    http://www.naturalnews.com/021059_noads_non-stick_cookware.h…

    • So the pans don't contain Teflon, they just contain the chemical called Teflon.

      lol

    • First time I ever upvoted someone for using naturalnews as a source :-)
Those guys are fruit-loops, but the article does make some good points.
The coating is just Teflon, sorry - teflon, with diamond dust embedded as a gimmick. The claim that the diamond helps with heat flow is ludicrous. (A solid diamond laminate might be useful though)

Swiss Diamond is as much a scam as Swisse vitamins.

  • The code didn't work when I want to purchase the Swiss Diamond Cookware Set 2 Piece (both are 28CM).

    • +6

      The code didn't work

Neither does the pan, so don't worry about it…

    • Hi jrl,
      Did you use code:

      swissdiamondoz1

      ?

      • Yes

  • Really disappointed with my 28cm swiss-diamond fry pan. It's deteriorated despite me taking good care and it hasn't been all that great in the non-stick department either :( Won't buy again
