    • +1

      • who offers installation for $350? is it in melbourne or if anyone else knows cheap installation in melbourne. thanks!

        • +1

          Sydney

  • Great air-con for price. I paid $747 in last Ebay deal. Ended up getting 2 of these one for me and one for my parents as a present.

For install, I just used my aircon mate charged me $300 including fitting it on a wall bracket.

    Go this over Samsung.

    • Hi, your aircon mate mind doing the similar price for me? Just bought a fujitsu 7.1kw

  • Link goes directly to eBay home page

  • So frustrated when OP doesn't link directly to the deal or even just provide it in the description.

Here's the page for the all the Fujitsu Air Conditioners on TGG eBay page:

    http://stores.ebay.com.au/The-Good-Guys-Australia?submit=Sub…

  • I purchased 2 of these units earlier today.

    $777.66 after the 22% off (20% eBay + 2% cash rewards)
    $776.66 - $150 (fujitsu visa card cash back) = $627.66

    What a BARGAIN!!!

  • I got the panasonic one over this. They are similar price but I have heard better things with the panasonic.

  • It says 3.5 star energy rating for cooling but 4.5 star for heating. I won't use the heater often. Would prefer a higher cooler energy star rating. Anyone have any info on the efficiency of these?

    • -2

Reverse Cycles are never energy efficient.

    • +1

The lower model ASTG09KMCA has a 5/5 star energy rating for cooling/heating. However the cooling/heating power are lower and I'm currently trying to find out if that's a big deal.

      • Thanks mate. We basically want one for a bedroom so it might suit. Thanks again :)

        • No worries :)

      • Is this eligible for the $150 cash back too? No mention of it on the eBay listing

        • +1

The promotions page does say $150 for 3.5 kW or less so this does qualify.

        • +1

Yes it does and TGG is an authorized stocker

      • Okay, found the information I was looking for:

Finding the right air conditioner depends on numerous factors including room size, ceiling height, insulation, size of windows, level of sunlight and more. Below is an approximation of required cooling and heating capacities for different room sizes.

Room Size m² Capacity - Cooling (C)/Heating (H)
        3.0m x 3.0m = 9m² 2.5KW(C)/3.2KW(H)
        5.0m x 5.0m = 25m² 3.5kw(C)/3.7KW - 4.3KW (H)
        5.5m x 5.5m = 30m² 3.5kw(c)/3.7KW(H) - 5.0KW(C)/6.0KW(H)
        6.3m x 6.3m = 40m² 5.0KW(C)/6.0KW(H) - 6.0KW(C)/7.2KW(H)
        6.7m x 6.7m = 45m² 6.0KW(C)/7.2KW(H) - 7.1KW(C)/8.0KW(H)
        7.1m x 7.1m = 50m² 7.1KW(C)/8.0KW(H) - 8.0KW(C)/9.0KW(H)
        7.7m x 7.7m = 55m² 8.0KW(C)/9.0KW(H) - 9.2KW(C)/10.0KW(H)

        From Harvey Norman.

  • Anybody knows about aircons here?
Just wondering, I have a Living Room + Dining room which is sort of 2 different rooms, but has no doors separating the 2 rooms.
Do I measure the cooling space as being both the living room + dining room or just the room which I am planning to put it in?

    • Go for 7.1kw or larger

      • +1

If your buying multiple units the 5.0kw units are more effiecent. I just did our house with 2 pana 7kws but really I thing I could have got away with 5kw units that have a better eer.

        • Yeah that is 2x $400 installation fees though.
Oh I thought you compared 1x7.1 or 2x5. But the 2x7.1 would cool down larger area quicker than 2x5 unless it is a small space you are talking about.

  • I'm looking to cool 3 rooms and would prefer one inverter outside. Any idea if any of the Fujitsu models listed have that feature ? Can't seem to see any against https://www.fujitsugeneral.com.au/residential-range/multi-ty…

    • Centralised? I have not heard any split with 1 outdoor and 3 indoor units combination.
Looks like there is but any retailers carry that range or model?

      • I could be wrong but that link above seems to suggest they can have just 1 outdoor inverter with 3 indoor air-cons.

        • Yeah but you need to find a retailer carry that model which I have not heard from the 2 retailers said anything about it when I bought mine. Special order I guess?

Whatever you do, DONT buy the Fujitsu without reading up on the horror stories. Unfortunately I became another statistic of the 4 year curse.
They are notorious for burnt-out Inverter PCB's as well as compressor failure, usually as a result of the PCB failure, as Fujitsu dont bother to coat their PCB's in any type of protectant, such as silicon, to protect from the elements as well as insects frying themselves out on the PCB's.
Both Panasonic, Daikin and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries coat all of their PCB's in protective coatings, to avoid this issue.
My Fujitsu lasted only 4 years, and with no warranty agents close enough, Fujitsu simply didnt want to know about it. Therefore, I do all I can to educate others before they make the same mistake. If you Google Fujitsu PCB failure you will find alot of the same experience.

    • So it is not covered under the 5 years warranty?

    • what state you in viper?

  • Well I have found a cheaper price than TGG and went in today and used the price guarantee.
TGG were happy to refund me with no questions asked after they checked.

$535.26 for the aircon after all discounts and cashback.

    Cheapest aircon i have purchased!!!

he might charge more though as i got 2 installed.

  • I ordered the Fujitsu 3.5KW off TGG eBay and it showed in stock. Got a call the next day and they advised it wasn't in stock. Received another call after they checked with Fujitsu today and no stock until end of April/early May. :( Guess their eBay stock levels does not reflect actual stock levels at all.

    • can't they request it from another store or maybe you could pick up from another store?

      • They didn't request it from another store originally when they called me, they were going to just order directly from Fujitsu. I did call back after you made the suggestion of checking stock at another store, and they did find one in stock at another store and it's now being delivered to the one I ordered from. However, it's taking about 5 days to be delivered, but better than waiting 3-4 weeks. :)

        • Yup that's good!

  • Waiting for another deal :)
