iPad Mini 2 64G WiFi/Cellular $450.4 Kogan eBay After Code

240
CTECH20

Part of the eBay 20% off tech deal

Don't forget 2% Cashrewards Cashback

Not sure why this is cheaper than the 32G model on their store as both are WiFi/Cellular. Doesn't say anything about it being refurb as far as I can read.

Good deal considering iPad Mini 3 uses same processor

    $439.16 after 22% (eBay + cashrewards).

    • -3

      False. It's $441.40 after 21.6% (The further 2% off 20%).

      • the 2% is off the full amount not the discounted amount.

        • -2

Untrue, what makes you think that. Cash rewards will process the final pricing.

Hi, I purchased during other 20% Off eBay deals, and the 2% amount was taken from the amount paid to the seller. Which, of course, was and is the full price.

Yeah, strange. Both are sold by Kogan HK Limited. Both are Wi-Fi/Cellular.

Could it be another Kogan typo? (eg, we'll get 32gb XOR mini 3 XOR voucher)

(I bet you Apple will include the ability to make/receive phone calls in next model… not that we haven't had that, eg, in Samsung & ASUS tabs for yonks).

Interestingly, Apple shows NO iPad mini -2- w/ 64gb & 4G (Is it very new?)

    CoTD's price is $ 549 -PLUS- S&H (Kogan incl's Shipping).

Scary: Paypal notification does NOT show 20% Off to have been taken… :-/
(But: PayPal's pre-Confirm total shows total reduced by 20% will be taken)

Maybe eBay has to give PayPal the 20%, hopefully BEFORE PayPal hits my a/c for it?

    • I'd bet CoTD is buying from Kogan…

      StaticIce.com shows DealsDirect it -refurbished- for $420 [+ S&H?]

  • 16GB version sells for $360 + $5 with Optus, and no code required.

This deal is good. 64GB for about 450$.

Does anybody know if Kogan offer's local Apple warranty ?

    • Does anybody know if Kogan offer's local Apple warranty ?

      What do you mean?

Kogan Australia and Kogan Hong Kong are not Apple Authorised Resellers.
      https://www.apple.com/au/buy/

iPads with Cellular capability first sold in markets other than Australia and New Zealand are not 'normally' afforded Apple Australia Warranty coverage.

However, Wi-Fi only iPads first sold in markets other than Australia and New Zealand are covered in Australia by Apple's One Year International Warranty.

So, you may find Apple Australia will help you out if there are problems.

Any iPads privately imported from Kogan HK Limited will not benefit from Australia's Two Year Consumer Guarantee.

  • got it ordered.

    Thanks

a word of caution : 31 negative feed-backs in last month itself.

    • and over 2500 positive - 99% positive feedback, which is very good.

  • About the 2% cashback..
So after creating the account and following the link to ebay and make the purchase, do I automatically get the 2% back?
    Can someone enlighten me? thanks!

    • Yes you are right.

2% will be in you account and you can claim the amount when the return period is over.

  • checked Apple, looks like ipad mini 2 does not have 64GB model.

  • I can confirm that its definitely Brand New, 64GB + Cellular A1490. It looks like its from EU, based on the power plug in the box. Kogan also included a Kogan branded AU plug in a separate box. Charging it as I type this.

When you say "EU", does the plug have two round pins?

Is the "AU plug" an adapter, or an AU Duck Tail plug?

      Thanks.

      • It looks like this
        http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power_plugs_and_sockets#/m…

        BS1363 Type G

They included a Kogan branded USB charger 2 amps which you can plug standard USB cables either lightning or usb-mini (android cables).

        • It looks like this

That is for Hong Kong (also UK).

So, Kogan HK are shipping Hong Kong market model iPads this time.

        • @A3Australia:

Right, but A1490 is a global model, only diff is the charger. It came with ios7.04, so I reckon old stock.

Perhaps I am being confusing by mentioning "market model" - I should say Part Number. There will be a Part No. on the box, this identifies the market in which the device was first sold by Apple.

In any case the iPad is identified by the IMEI/Serial Number. If you took it to Apple Australia, they would identify it as being first sold in Hong Kong (they won't know or care about it being re-sold by Kogan HK Limited). As a cellular model iPad, it may not get the one year international warranty support from Apple Australia - and certainly not the two year consumer guarantee.

        • @A3Australia:

But I would assume being an apple product, apple will honor the 1 year international warranty as I think warranty starts on date of activation, I might be wrong. But yeah heres hoping

You should read the warranty conditions. Cellular products such as IPhones and iPads with Cellular option, must be returned to the country / market of first purchase

Kogan HK Limited purchase iPads from Hong Kong and Japan and re-sell them to Australian buyers.
