  UE Boom is very good quality, weatherproof and its sound was superior to all but the elegant, unwieldy and more expensive Bose Mini. That was a year ago when I checked them all.

  DSE ebay store also has the Sony SRS-X3 for $79.20, which is the cheapest I've ever seen it.

    I would stay clear away from Sony though, two of my Sony product failed within their warranty period (Bravias and Bluetooth speakers). I used to advocate Sony product but their quality has deteriorate over the years.

    Apparently the X5 sound better than Bose soundlink Mini, don't know about the x3 though

      Plus, the X5 has standby mode so it's always ready to connect to bluetooth whereas with the X3 you need to NFC or press power button.
      The Bose also relies on proprietary power supply rather than USB which is why I went Sony rather than Bose

      X5 is way better, i got the X5 bundled with the x2 at myer for $199 (just before xmas). Had both the Bose Soundlink mini and the X5 going, and the X5 is so superior that the bose is absolutely laughable!

    I got UE BOOM from the myer deal. It's small, water proof, loud, and good battery.

    Like I said above others have said the X5 Sounds better than the normal bose soundlink mini, the one which sells for $199 on special @ Myer
