    I'll never understand the incredibly high end laptop with 5400rpm drives. WHY?!?

      the 5400 is probably more energy efficient.

      but yea. the price is just ridiculous,
      go Macbook Pro for that sort of dollar,

      should be SSD for this price.

        You can't really get a 5th Gen I7 and UHD for less than 1600. Let alone with an SSD. MacBook?…. No thanks.

    Looks like it was $1599 mid-March so it's possible its price jumped coinciding with the sale, and may fall back down once it's over.
