Smart Laser Webcam 1.3MP LAS3012 w/ Mic - $9 @ Harvey Norman @ Domayne, Auburn, NSW

51

Just saw this while browsing Harvey Norman @ Domayne Auburn NSW earlier today. I can only assume that there were approximately 12 on the table.

It is located towards the laptops but not there far in, on a clearance table which has a green A4 printed paper saying "items 50% off or more on this table only". I am not very familiar with the store so I can't describe its location well. Sorry.

I am quite certain it has a model number of LAS3012. Don't know much about the webcam but given the price relative to other prices I could find, plus the fact that it has a built in microphone it seemed decent enough to post up.

Here are some example pricing/listing that I have found:
Austech Office Choice @ Maroochydore, QLD - $34.09
Austech Office Choice @ Wangaratta, VIC - $64.37
eBay - $24.90
Melbourne Office Supplies - $48.90
OfficeMart @ Osborne Park, WA - $42.66

  • Does this laser webcam point a laser in your eye? =P

    I can only see 7…

There's more than meets the eye.

        or not…

        • 3 of those boxes are levitating in mid air

          @marquise:

          that's possible…

(or they could be sitting on some other product)

@jv: I like my explanation better.

That's just speculation, there is no evidence that there are more than 7…

@jv: I wasn't providing evidence of there being more than 7. I was talking about levitation.

  • I've been using a Laser-brand wifi KB/mouse combo for years now & bought three of their nice & small/light wifi headsets w/built-in mic for Skype. So far, I like their stuff.
Might have to hit Harvey's tomorrow- grab a few for the pensioners (always limited income).

  • Shitty webcams are $4 on ebay. Unless this really has a high-power laser, i don't see the bargain.
    Add 40 cents for microphone.

    And the 1.3 is "interpolated".

  • The Logitech C110 is available a bunch of places for $8-$10: http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=c110&spos=3

It seems like it'd be a better choice if only on a driver support level.
