The coupon is 20% off (up to $20)

  • Ec bro- excuse my ignorance..how is this different to Chromecast?

  • Thanks bro- loved this comment - without Android TV, Chromecast is simply a fancy wireless equivalent to an HDMI cable.

    • but that comment is a faulse

    • No it's not.

What you describe is Miracast - Chromecast is VERY different.

      • I dont understand the difference..and hence I asked..

    Nexus Player Review http://ausdroid.net/2015/04/28/nexus-player-review/

Not sure you can do this, isn't the condition: "20% off coupon can only be used on purchases up to $100"

    omg y u no ethernet?

    • Bbq

  • I dont think the coupon work because it is over $100.

The voucher ony work for transaction under $100

    • Did you try or are you just assuming.

Proof it works for purchases over $100

      • I will try it now. I got the voucher on hand and it said
"Discount voucher is for 20% off product purchases up to $100".

        I hope it works

        • so 20% off $100 = $20, any dollar amount over $100 it will not offer a discount

  • Thank you. Will buy more for new games releases this month

  • This is still twice the price of other unofficial android-TV products, and for the moment less functional due to the limited apps.

    • Actually it's got a baytrail atom processor which is miles better than any $50 player i know of, and the only unofficial atom tv boxes i know of are similarly priced but in USD so actually like $150 because the AUD to USD calculater on those sites are broken as d***.
There are drawbacks, no expandable memory slots and as you mentioned, limited app support, but it's not completely uncompetitive.

      • Intel CPU is nice for Linux HTPCs, because it lets you run DRM-ed websites like Netflix and iView.
But whats the advantage in an Android HTPC? All the hard work is dome in the GPU. The latest ARM gadgets seem more than adequately powered in Kodi, for example.

        • A good CPU is always welcome, it's very useful for software decoding in MX player for those files that dont play in nothing else.
Also the particular version of the atom in the nexus player is similar to the one in the Dell venue 8 7000, it scraps intel's shitty atom GPU for the far superior PowerVR G6430 which is a plus

  • Used this deal today. I actually bought a $100 gift card with a $100 gift card I got for free from the ANZ 50,000 free FF points. I then got the new gift card with the 20% off voucher. $109. Thanks OP. Technically it cost me $9.
