        • @Ahan:
May 4th, just after 11am. Luck of the draw?

        • @spludgey:
Did u have them delivered to you? I chose click and collect that was probably why. Anyway I think we both should get them..

        • @Ahan:
Yes, missed the Toll guy by 10 minutes today, according to the card.

    • Says $125?

      • Yes…i'm also getting $125 instead of $25…???

    • Thanks. They have honoured the offer. Collected it today.

  • Can't find that logging truck anywhere in sydney stores, :(

  • +2

Yeah… useless deal as nothing in stock.. this way they can even publish it for free.

  • +1

Booo nothing in stock around me, useless

  • Thank you.

I hate BigW with passion. They never EVER have their Advertised line available. Always OUT OF STOCK

  • I see in the Lego group the Mindstorm EV3 set is an absolute bargain at $250 (http://www.bigw.com.au/product/lego-mindstorms-ev3-31313/p/W…). Pity I can't find stock anywhere otherwise I'd buy two! If anyone finds any PM me!

    • I saw that too!! i called around sydney to find one, but none in stock. also called the customer service line. nothing anywhere he could find either!
If anyone finds any it would be a steal. let me know if you have any luck! best price i could find was $400 when i got my set a few months back.
Where they ever on sale at this price in big w? I have never even seen mindstorms at big w.

Just got Harvey Norman to price match one of these; http://www.bigw.com.au/product/nikon-coolpix-digital-camera-… Thanks OP.

  • sweet scored the IXUS155. Great mothers day gift

    Thanks OP

Did they drop the price on the reject shop junk they are selling instore? 10bucks for 2 dollar pasta and a small bowl, fathers day mug with a few lollies for 12.. worst "deals" ever

  • +6

It says low stock but when I call Big W they say the offer is only ONline and when you check at ONline they say only available in Store. How does it make sense.

    • +8

      The staff are retarded.

      • +1

The average DSE employee isn't far behind. Used to be the same company.

  • +2

This is "awesome" marketing. Sell nothing below cost as there's no stock on anything anywhere, yet customers flood in your stores.

    • +2

bait n switch. nothing out of the ordinary.

      • It's just baiting.

        • It's neither, Trent does not work for BigW AFAIK.

  • Anyone able to get a pricematch on the iPod with OW?

    • I was going to try that this morning, very interested if they can prob need to move fast on it before any exceptions

  • the ipod touch in big w DOESN'T have the back camera, opposed from the description on the website.

    • P.S officeworks will not price match or beat because its a different product, i was told from officeworks head office, they contacted big w to see if its an identical item and the answer is no.

      • They should be able to price match though if they have they have that particular model in stock (the black/silver one)

    • This is the product being sold then? http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ipod/specs/ipod-touch-…

      That's annoying!!

      • doesn't matter. sold out pretty early anyway. it's not even on the website anymore.

  • +1

The lego deals were available 1.5 months ago and sold out in days so I highly doubt any stores will have stock

  • +2

Already been suckered to go in to Big W stores 3 times now over the last few weeks. Can never find the stock advertised. Only stuff left is old crap, or what looks like specially bought in crap. I'll go back to wasting my time some other way thanks.

  • I picked up a Barbie digital camera today for my daughter for $10, was $48. She's hasn't seen it yet so I don't know what she thinks but I think it's pretty awesome for $10. Has a little digital viewing screen (I'd say 2" big), a flash, can take 3mp pics. Not much storage but it can be expanded with a SD card I think. If you lower the pic res to 640x480 it can store up to 100 at a time (and seriously, my daughter doesn't need HQ pics), according to instuctions. Comes with USB cord, direct plug and play and drag and drop photos off it, you don't need to install the crapware CD software. 3xAAA batteries included.

All this stuff posted here is a part of the Drop Zone clearance that has been running since 11/03/15 of course some of this stuff will be sold out. I'm not sure why they have added it to the new website but as some people are finding, some stores do in fact still have stock. It is a shame this didn't go live when the sale started!

Was after a reasonable compact digital camera with about 10x zoom for my wife (upcoming overseas work trip).

Have done some research on the BigW dropzone cameras:

-> Canon IXUS 155 - 10x zoom, image quality not great, purple fringing all over the image due to a dodgy lens. External battery charger = more bulk for travel.

-> Olympus VH 520 - 10x zoom, almost no info/reviews available, but one owner has commented on terrible low light ability.

-> Nikon S3600 - 8x rather than 10x zoom, but image quality seems substantially better than the other two. Recharge via USB, v handy for travel. Main disadvantage is slow (2 sec+) shot to shot time. But for $60 - a steal. Hard to find stock, for your mother/wife/daughter in Newcastle there are two pink ones left at Big W Marketown as of about midday (none at Jesmond, Charlestown or Mt Hutton). I got one for my mum/mother's day. At Marketown they also had NikonS6700 (10x zoom) down from $200 to $80 - high ISO performance strangely better than the S3600. There was only one, which I got - this one for my wife. It is not listed on the BigW website, but you may get lucky…

-> Big W also do generic 16gb SD cards for $10 - no idea how well they will last, but that's a decent "everyday" price.

  • Anyone in Brisbane after an ereader mt ommaney have the kobo glo (lavender) for $60. It's a great ereader. They also had some cheap tablets for $40.

  • The casio calculator scans in at $7.00 at southland… thanks op

  • $499 is excellent for the 2nd gen Moto X! In stock too. +1 for that.

  • +1

No stock in store for any of the cameras listed.
They told me to check online.
    Stupid.

  • Managed to find one iPod Touch 16GB Silver, the last one on special, at Waverley Gardens. Thanks for posting the deal!

  • +1

dont bother checking online for stock availability, they aren't accurate and aren't updated in real time.

Called the store and asked them to check it on the shelves. ( you have to ask for this otherwise they will check it on the computer, which is as useless as its online system).

if you're lucky and are served by newbies, they might hold the items for you. Most won't, since it is on clearance.

  • Just got an ipod touch. Thanks OP!
