Anyone have the full list, because none of those in the pic do it for me :(

    • That is the full list of selected cards. If it's not in the catalogue it's not included.

    • I thought ticketmaster would at least have something. Wow, nothing of interest there (YMMV)

I just remembered the trouble I had when my 10 off didn't work on my next shop. Anyone one else ever had trouble? It worked for me other times but I'm not trying again since that time

    • i reckon we have to use it in a week before the credit expires..
      i could use only 4.5$

    • This happened to me several times, with a check-out chick and self check-out. I finally figured out that you'll have to get the bar code scanned enough times to have the voucher applied - clearly a system defect on Woolie's side.

    • Yup, just tried today and no discount on my EDR.

    I wish playstation was applied.

  • Poor Tasmanians..

    • Haha they have their own Frequent Shopper Club.

    • When I was over there and the Vodafone $5 starter pack deal was on, Tasmanians didn't have to spend $30 on EDR like the rest of Aus.

      Deal is only for Australians

  • So, does this mean Woolworths sells 20% off giftcard for its competitor Coles (Myer)?

    • +1

Is there a way to convert myer card to coles myer group card? Myer only sells myer gift card.

      • I've seen Myer stores near me sell Coles Myer gift cards.

I reckon you'd be hard-pressed trying to purchase Coles Myer gift cards with Myer gift cards though :)

        • +2

I can also vouch for Myer selling Coles Myer gift cards - not all department checkouts have them but just check another department if you can't find them

Coles Myer sold off Myer around 2006 so that's why Woolworths sells Myer-only cards :)

      1. Myer is not a competitor to Woolworths - you'd be hard pressed to find many things they sell in common.
      2. Its not 20% off - its a $10 card that you have to spend in Woolworths, not in Coles/Myer.

      Aside from that, great post.

    • Wesfarmers(coles) no longer own Myer. They sold it a couple of years ago….

      • Coles Group sold Myer to TPG Capital before the Wesfarmers takeover.

Then TPG did the typical private equity "pump and dump" ^_^

        • There are usually only two strategies for PE firms, what did you expect?

I saw a story around Boxing Day time where a guy received a MYER Giftcard for $100 and then went there, bought a $100 Coles Myer voucher with that card, went to Coles and bought a $100 JB Hifi voucher and then went to JB to buy what he wanted.

Wonder if there's a limit as to how many MYER vouchers could be purchased??

    • Terms state only 1 x $10 off per EDR Member.
Still might be worth the hassle to get $10 free groceries OzBargain style.

      • Multiple EDRs

try to buy cole group gc by myer gc is a risky move..

Hmm… Need to spend about $500 at Freedom on a Table

I wonder if I can grab a few (10) of those temporary EDR cards and get $10 for each one….. ?

Could be an easy 20% off :)

    • More like rebate on your shop.

      • +1

        It's effectively cash for me.

We spend $200 on groceries a week. Won't be hard to split it into 10 bundles..

        • With 10 EDR cards?

          @wtfnodeal:

Temporary ones. Not the same. Temporary cards can be grabbed off the shelf (often out of stock though) and there's no signup process to deal with as such.

I've been using a temporary one for years, never gave them address etc therefore never converted it to a 'real' card.

The cards should be banned in the interest of the consumer.

Did anyone use Woolies or BigW gift card /egift card to purchase any of the above gift cards?
When they had the same deal last time, my partner said our gift card was refused to be accepted for purchasing Hoyts gift card.

    • buy it at the self serve checkout

    • I used an egift voucher yesterday to buy the 10% off Event tickets. Purposely went through the checkout where I know the operator isn't that bright lol and had no problems, he just put it through without question.

      • Purchasing a gift card with a gift card is absolutely fine as long as it's a gift card that already has a pre-determined set value (e.g. Facebook, Skype, Myer too I think?).

For WISH Gift Cards it is generally not allowed by the employees, but the system itself is capable of accepting it. This is a situation in which it would be necessary to find a not-so-bright operator to put it through for you.

Going through self-checkout doesn't make much of a difference(except that the operator's attention may be a little bit more divided), because the operator still needs to approve the transaction, and is supposed to see what method of payment you're using.

        • A 'not-so-bright operator'? If you have someone putting thousands of sales through a register each hour you can't use someone who you don't train well. It is too much of a pita to reconcile errors at end of day if you have poor staff on the registers. Most of them are very competent.

You'll be lucky to find one that isn't well trained. Those who don't learn don't have a job for very long.

  • are there any deals on JB Hifi gift cards?

  • can I use the facebook card to pay for the ads boosting?

  • Has anyone tried to purchase the myer gift card with a woolie's giftcard then get there $10 reward?

    • i'm guessing it should work, as long as you scan your EDR the $10 will be saved to your EDR, whichever method you make your payment.

    • Did this twice today on separate EDR cards - worked no problem for me - operator was very dozy though.

  • +2

the ads says it only valid for REGISTERED everyday rewards card.. so i guess, we cant get the temporary card, is that right? =(

  • +1

Note for Ticketmaster only 5 gift cards can be used per transaction :)

  • Anyone not get their $10? Just tried today after buying a gift card a few days ago and no discount applied. What a waste of time.

    • There would have been a message on your first receipt advising you had earned $10 credit on your EDR account, & a date when the credit would expire. I bought 2 $50 gcs (each on a separate EDR account) and got the printed message on both receipts. Had to spend $10.05 before 15/05/2015 to get $10 off.

I redeemed the stored offer from both EDR accounts with no problem. Just had to scan my EDR card, spend over $10, & received the $10 discount on both cards.

For all those asking, the $10 off worked for me.
