128GB microSD card seems to be a good price too at $89.

Make sure to add Insurance Cover as that's in the discount.

  • Grabbed the 2x16gb C10 SDHC for $16.91 delivered. It just sneaks in the requirements at $29.90. Seems like an okay deal but I didn't bother to look around.

Not going to trust Kingston anymore.. Two 32GB and one 8GB Kingstons have died on me to date. Either I'm pretty unlucky or Sandisk and Samsung make much better cards (neither of those brands have failed on me).

    • +1

I can second the SanDisk quality thing - I've had something really weird happen with a custom application. Brand new Fuji SD cards on Canon cameras running CHDK, to hack in tethered shooting - camera and remote software crash on capture. Change nothing at all except replace the SD card with a cheap-as-chips SanDisk card of the same capacity - no problems whatsoever.

Went through every card we had - the Fuji ones (fresh out the box, btw) always result in a crash, the SanDisk ones have never failed.

      Bizarre, no?

  • I'm looking for standard ad card maybe ultra will this work with this if there is any of these sad cards what what sort of deals are there on say 32gb or 64gb etc and how would it compare to other sites and prices

  • +1

128gb is a deal, considering how our aussies are doing badly against the greenback. Works out cheaper if compared to buying from Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Digital-128GB-microSDXC-SDCX1…

    and local warranty to boot.

I still buy the chinese no name brand $11 for 64G, 22 for 128 G on Ebay, did a read write test, they are class 10, and that is as fast as my phone and camera does. None have failed ( 10 off). I think there are a limited number of foundries that make micro sd flash at 64G and 128G, so would be nice to know whose they are.

    • +5

have you actually filled it with 64/128gb worth of shit though?

      http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/H2t…

      • I agree, I've never bought a cheap one which wasn't a fake.

        • So how do we know this deal isn't fake? They nearly always are from 2nd tier vendors.

        • +2

Shopping express is local and has reasonable reputation. Plus if you really do get fake ones, there's the accc you can contact.

          @nicksinternet:

We only buy from Kingston Authorized Distributors in Australia. They come in retail packaging, as well as Australia Manufacturer's warranty - just as where you will find in a retail store.

          Cheers

    • Use h2testw to test them and you will almost definitely find that thwy are not 64gb as they pretend to be. Better to do this now than find out when you end up loosing data.

      • most of those are "rebranded" 4GB or less with their FAT/Index tables modified to show 64GB or 128GB in size. In reality, when you write more than what it actually is, it will basically point back up to the top of the card again and overwrite the first lot of data resulting in corruption. You can try put a few large movie files or something onto it and see if they run from the card. Chances are, it will crash the PC or come up with read errors.

  • lol @ mwave's groupbuy.. Apacer 64GB SDXC Class 10 $19.99

    2 units only LOL

wonder how much was the delivery though

    • +1

That's not micro sd, it's standard size sd, which is normally cheaper than the micro ones anyway.

      • Yes I know that but not by much..

Merely pointing out their only 2 items for that group buy

  • I've never had a Kingston MicroSD fail on me (owned quite a few over the years from 1GB - 32GB), the only problem is they've always been slow. When moving up to 64GB I think 10MB/s write is getting a bit old, which is why I've since moved to Samsung.

Absolutely worth it if the slower write speed doesn't concern you.

  • Need a 32GB job for my dash am, as that's the most that it supports, but none in this deal :-(

  • deal expired coupon code not valid anymore but still 10% off

Wish the deal was still on! :D
