I downloaded this during their recent free giveaway and must say my internet slowed down by around 30%. I ended up uninstalling it due to frustration. Other people have reported similar problems.
Sorry to hear that Haji. I haven't installed this one on my PC so wouldn't comment on that but knowing bit about Anti Virus architecture and how it works, I do understand that it depends a lot on different permutations and combinations. I wanted to list down a few which I know of but I think this explanation would sum it all. But thanks for the comment, I will install this on one of my VMs and see how it behaves.
Are u sure it wasn't Norton…that will slow your system 100%…
your internet browsing speeds can slow down when 3rd party firewalls interfere and start blocking or scanning that they shouldn't. You can usually turn the firewall component off. or configure it so that it is not as aggressive.
Most people do not need to install a third party firewall and if you get one as part of your internet security package, you should probably disable it if you don't know how to configure it.
This happened when I ran Antimalwarebytes, internet was connected but couldn't load 80% of websites which was strange. Problem was fixed when I closed the program. Don't have any problem with Bitdefender though.

been using it for 6 months if it has slowed me down I have not noticed it. Just wonder too if it stacks as I have over a year left and the last deal on this one stacked. Hate to install and lose the year I have to only 6 months if it does not stack.
