      DRUMS! DRUMS! MORE DRUMS!!!!!

  • All Harvey Norman stores can match this price.

  • good deal for the folks who missed out before

and to sound like a broken record..

DC44 and DC45 are the same product, names were changed for different regions for marketing.

The term "Animal" to all models relates to a extra mini motorized attachment head. The body itself is the same build though there might be a colour difference in shaft and body.

Incorrect, they are not the same product. They improved the specs in the DC45, the DC45 replaces the DC44.

        Incorrect, http://vacuum-guy.hubpages.com/hub/DC44-Vs-DC59

        ctrl+f and search DC45.

fyi I wouldn't class a colour change as a "Improved Spec"

        • DC 44 for carpet & hard floor
          DC 45 for hard floor
i checked the product description at Myer before ,
          that is what they said.

        • I am not, the technology is different, they improved it even by a bit for the DC45.

        • @hkspaceship: DC45 does both carpet and hard floor as well.

  • Just went to good guys and got them to beat domayne by $1!!

Harvey norman online chat only would go down to $300

    • My policy is to buy it from the retailer making the offer, unless you have a very good reason not to (ie too far to drive etc).

      • Good guys are closest out of the other retailers

    • pfft… you should have brought it without haggling walk out the door, enjoys the sun for a few mins and walk back in for a 20% refund.

I thought about that but i'm sure there's way for them to get out of it.

        • yeha it is a risk i guess.

        • I went and bought it today at good guys for $424, then showed them the domayne website on my phone straight away. They refused to give me the 120% difference, they only wanted to match domayne's price. So I left and put in an online claim. Has anyone had any luck with online claims?

Great vacuum, I got one for free in the recent Good Guys promo on the full sized vacs. Just remember it is a stick vacuum and not the strongest thing out there, but it's great for a quick vacuum when you can't be bothered pulling out the beast.

  • removed….

    • No, that's only for the new V6.

  • Hrmm tempting, was holding out for a 59/v6 but is that worth the extra $200+

  • Just went to local HN store and asked them to match the price that domaynonline offers and when he checked the price in their system it was marked as $299.00. the online shows $454 or something… got one for $299.00

  • anyone tried price matching at Masters?

    • My wife just called Masters about their price match guarantee (+10%) on the V6 Animal.
      Masters normal price: $699
      Domayne price: $549
      Masters price match: $494

      SOLD!

      • Masters don't do +10% anymore on appliances

  • IF this is anything like the v6 animal then it is a fantastic buy.

I have a dc 44 animal and have had it for 12 months. I used my mothers new dc59 yesterday and the difference is night and day. The dc44 does the job and is certainly better than a robo vac. But the dc59 or v6 is the suction of a full vac. If I had to pay $150 extra for it I would. I don't regret my dc44 as I bought it for $300 and really it is good value. But if you can spare the coin…

  • Bought one, thanks OP :)

There is also the $50 cash back from AMEX if you spend $300 in one or more transaction at HN. Effectively this brings it down to $250

  • Rang Domayne Citywest in Perth, they told me they were Harvey Norman. No stock there but they checked their computers and Osborne Park HN had stock for $299. Got a price match at Masters.

    Is Domayne Harvey Norman???
