  • Nice find OP, are BOSE products excluded as well from the discount if you know?

    • +1

      included

    • +22

Make sure you team your BOSE product with a MONSTER cable for even more value

      • Can you elaborate? Sorry but couldnt see this at MYER site

    • +1

I am surprised by how many people asked about BOSE, given you can get better quality product at less than half the price. Not much of a bargain!

      • +13

For noise cancellation you'd struggle to find better for less in my opinion

      • No one else does noise cancellation anywhere near as good.

      • Check out Audio Technica, their NC have excellent sound quality at a reasonable price

        • Have you tried the new QC25s? Absolutely fantastic audio quality and NC

        • @knick007: The clarity of sound just isn't there. I am not saying Bose is bad, it's just not good value for money in my humble opinion.

        • @bargainshunter: It isn't good value no but there aren't that many good options out there…

        • +1

@knick007: Audio Technica ANC9 NC may be marginally worse than Bose, but the sound quality is just so much better and I can get it for $229 at my local store, which happens to provide free shipping too.

        • @bargainshunter:
Some people just desire the very best in the NC, because having the QC25's is not about the music anymore, but the noise cancellation. When studying, even small chatter/background noise can be distracting, but the NC works very well, and in loud environments too. Because of this, I feel that this has been a great investment for me when I grabbed a pair for $324 late last year. (This is of course user dependent, I use public transport everyday.)

        • Link for audio technica?

        • @ATangk: How about the Plantronics BackBeat PRO? I like that their battery is rechargeable

        • @lyon:
I don't know about that headset in terms of NC, but with replaceable batteries, you can buy them anywhere if they go flat. Rechargeable batteries are a different story, and they can eventually die. I just use eneloops like a true OzBargainer xD.

        • @ATangk: I have the BackBeat PRO for reviewing but haven't compared it to Bose's one (don't have it).

I don't use it pretty often so I prefer to recharge it before getting on a plane, say. But I guess if you use it often, it's better on those Eneloops (which I'm about to buy now for my Kaiser Baas' Alpha Drone, thanks for the other OzBargain's deal :))

        • @lyon:
What's the battery life on those?

And yeah for myself, I never realise when it's going to die, but the case has a battery slot so I can quickly switch out and continue listening to music.

        • @ATangk: I haven't charged it for weeks, still lasts from a single charge, but I don't use it much. I like how it auto turns itself off if I take it out of my ears :)

Plantronics claim up to 24 hours but obviously, I've never tested listening to music for 24 hours straight on it, heh

        • @ATangk: I agree with that, but I think the problem is most people aren't aware of the alternatives as a lot of companies don't spent as much in marketing as Bose.

It's like point and shoot camera vs DSRL. If one never used DSRL they never know how good the quality of photos could be. However, DSRL is not for everyone as they are bulky.

        • +1

@bargainshunter: I can see that you are one of them and surely don't have a DSLR, I mean, DSRL :)

        • @lyon: lol it's single-lens reflex - I always thought it's reflex lens :p
I do actually own one as I prefer quality over portability - silly me!

      • too much head-fi reading lol. I'm not audiophile, just currently own CKR9 LTD, M50X and B&O 3i. Have to agree with people here. When come to NC, Bose is the best. There are people prefer NC > SQ and the headphones u've mentioned doesn't sound that much better than the Bose.

    • Sonos also included for those interested.

  • Nope. they are included.!!

Nice find, works fine on Bose :)

Also seems to be an offer on headphones. $20 iTunes card with spend over $99 on headphones.

  • +5

    nice picture

What is in there for "too cool" ? A 15% discount at myer is still more than compared to some other stores, myer is always overpriced.
Show me a bose product cheaper than else where even with the 15% applied

    • Bose 20i with a $20 iTunes card for $322.15. Except for the current $299 special in the other deal from the Sydney store, this looks to be ththe best deal atm.

      • You're better off going into myer and ask for a price match (does Myer do price matches?). Or go to JB HI FI, ask them to price match and order one in for you.

As for the bose QC25 with 15% off, that's a reasonable deal, considering how good they are.

      • Combo this with the Woolworths and liquor lands offers for anothe4 15% off

Woolies buy $50 gift card get $10 off next shop, or another $50 gift card
Liquorland is get 15$ back from $100 spend

        • $10 off you Woolworths spend, not the gift card. Plus it's linked to your edr card so prob only one $10 off voucher. Also 14 th may is expiry..

Also, Myer gift cards can't be used for online

        • @clarky:

i'm fairly certain myer staff will be happy to give you the online price in store, also the $10 card applies to every EDR card and most families would have at least 3 members

        • @peter05: be great if Myer does so. I am one in my family so no good there, plus it expires today

    • Find me any of the Bose iPod docks cheaper than RRP - 15%

  • Doesn't work on all tablets, laptops and cameras
edit: i think it just doesn't work on 'reduced to clear' items.

  • No more love for apple products. Seems their margins have slimmed down a bit.

    • +6

      retail margins maybe..

      apple margins? no

    • If only Apple's price fixing would slim down…

  • Brings fitness trackers down too

  • Pretty good actually

Bose QC25 + $20 iTunes card is $339 with the discount

  • If Sonos are included then those would be good buys

    • +1

      Sonos is included…

      • +2

Ohhhhhhhhh no, this is real bad.

        • haha

        • I need to convince the better half that we really need that sound bar and sub. We really really do. At 15% off.

        • +3

@davechan: I've heard better sound from a chocolate bar.

          Sound Bars… X No Deal X

      • edit: nvm

      • I didn't think I needed anymore sonos speakers but this deal has proven me wrong.

        • Which ones do you have?

      • Anyone else having trouble at checkout with "…not eligible for both home delivery and click & collect" on Sonos Sub?

        • Yeah trying to get the sound bar and getting the same issue. Might give them a call tomorrow morning…

        • @knick007:

Let us know how you go pls :)
I'm assuming this code is online only ? Can I walk in and say, here's my secret password for a discount..?

        • @Futurist: Nope in store and online….Some myerone members got a card with the code in the mail. You could try walking in if you are a member and say you forgot the card and see what they say.

The card looked like this http://i.imgur.com/S6GpS5N.jpg thanks to
          bern1992

        • @knick007:

No response on why the online stores says the sub/playbar are not eligible for both Home Delivery and Click & Collect ?

        • @Futurist: been at uni all day sorry. Just sent them a tweet asking

        • @knick007: thanks for sharing the photo! Do you know if the voucher has a barcode eg on the back?

I have to go in store to pick up my item but I don't have the physical voucher.

          Thanks in advance!

        • @imissbeans: no idea I didn't get one… Ask bern1992

        • @knick007: thanks for letting me know!

      • i have more than $500 jb's gift cards, just wait for jb has a good deal on sonos….

        • Get JB to price match this stuff never goes on sale.

        • @knick007:
I may give it a try tomorrow. Thanks.

        • @knick007:

Good idea, I have Gift cards for JB too :D

    • Does anyone know if the Sonos Soundbar is any good? or can anyone recommend any other good sound system?

    • Been waiting to get the Sonos Play 5 for a while - used the code, and picked up from Chadstone today - saved $97 :) thank you balajicodihalli

  • the code doesn't take off anything when i purchase a headphone?

  • not working on a "reduce to clear" Panasonic TZ55 $200.. would be a good price for $170 delivered

  • My one is an online special and it didn't work, what's the terms & condition on this code? Anyone get an email?

  • anybody have a view positive/negative on the Bose cinemate 15?

    • I have it . Its excellent for small house. No wires around and great quality sound.

  • Any Bargains?

    Not such a great deal…
    Was looking at the Samsung Tab 4 8inch 16GB WiFi for $279 -15%= 237.15.
It is $237 in Officeworks with no discounts…

  • i am after a good digital camera.. any recommendations

    • +1

      Budget?

But the best compact cameras now are the Sony RX100 MK3 or the Canon G7X

Sony is better IMO and JB currently has it for $899

      • thanks knick.. $700 is my budget.. i may wait for EOFY sales..

        • I got mine from JB for $740.

The Myer price even with the crumpler bag and 16GB SD card really is too much

    • +2

Panasonic TZ60. Listed for $420. 15% discount would take $63 off that. Nice Camera for $357 and if you are travelling overseas in next 2 months, you can save additional 10% off that by claiming GST back.

UPDATE: Even sweeter with following little Bonus I just noticed on the Myer Website.

"Bonus Crumpler Pleasure Dome S Black and SanDisk Ultra 16BG Class 10 SD Card when you spend $300 or more on cameras. Purchased in one transaction. Offer ends 31st May 2015 23:59PM or until sold out."

  • Anyway to use this in-store? I would like to pay with CBA awards points.

    • The answer is yes with a caveat, you need to have received one of these:
      http://i.imgur.com/S6GpS5N.jpg

      • Thanks bern1992. I'm a member but no voucher. Did it come in the post? Anything important on the back?

Might be worth trying in store saying I left it at home perhaps.

Or hope for 20% off Sonos at EOFY.

        • Back of the voucher has a barcode and says it needs to be retained by the staff member when used.

        • @bern1992:
I got a booklet of rewards last week but this wasn't one of them. Anyway, I started a shopping cart, used the code then printed it out without buying. Then went to the store. The guy at the checkout typed the code in and 15% discount later I walked out with a new TV and used my Myer gift cards I had, which you can't do with pay & collect.

        • @bern1992: hi :) do you happen to have the barcode still as I'd love to use the code in store! Ie photo of barcode Thanks heaps in advance!!

  • When does this expire?

  • wait another month, I'm sure they will be 20% off ..which very common coming toward EOFY

  • OK, I have just placed my order for QC25 on Myer. $339.15 altogether for the headset plus a $20 gift card. Given I will be in NZ next month, a further approx 10% discount will be claimed back on GST, which I think is a good price for this.
My only problem is the order for QC25 now is showing "1 item(s) Backordered".
I have never purchased anything from Myer before, so not sure if this means there will be significant delays for delivery? (or collection in my case as I chose to pick it up in store)

    • +2

      Yep you've grabbed a bargain.

Remember to grab a packet of AAAs from DSE for your cabin bag so you have spares even though the QC25s can still work without batteries.

As for the backorder thing perhaps give them a call tomorrow and see if you can get it at a different store?

Just had a quick look and did a dummy order - according to your profile you are in Melbourne and it seems Melbourne City has them in stock.

They are also in stock for home delivery so again you can give them a call and the customer service team should be able to help. No I don't work for myer but I have found them to be helpful in the past.

      • Thanks mate. Yes, I am in Mel, but the City one is actually the one without stock, 4 others can be collected straightaway but far from my place.
I've changed my order (actually cancelled, and made a new one) for home delivery, and hopefully I can get it shortly.
