  • Starts tomorrow? Would probably bold that in the description.

    • +1

My apologies! It has started. Ends tomorrow. Fixing now.

      Hey there jv.

      • :)

      • Damn it, beaten for a jv reference :)

  • +1

    Nice one, thanks OP.

  • +3

I got an Oroton one for not much more when it had is big sales from harbour town.

    • +2

You did well. They are nice wallets but with a RRP of $85+ (at least at David Jones), that's a huge % saving.

      • head over to DFO, they are always at least 50% off (went on wednesday and its 70% off!)

        • +13

70% still doesn't get you to $20, and you have to travel to them :D. Yes, I'm biased. I'll stop now.

    • are you also a female?

      • +3

Oroton make mens wallets as well. One of the best wallets I've ever owned was an Oroton. Unless you mean DFO only sells women's?

      • No. They sell men's wallets as well. Same type as what OP is selling.

The one OP is selling looks nice btw!

  • +1

Been waiting for this since the last one! Thanks OP!

  • +1

For people who own these wallets, where do you put your coins?

    • +2

      In your pocket.

    • +1

If you're asking if they have a coin pocket they don't. It's kind of the point of them being "slim".

    • +3

yeah i've got a wallet where i can put coins if required.. if only the whole world took cards and didn't on charge the stupid 1% fee coz they stingy mofos, then i would get a slim wallet

      • +4

Something about that pot and the kettle. ..

        • what

        • +1
        • +1

@shao: Yeah, I know the saying. I'm just not seeing the relevance of it.

        • @theguyrules: Is the shop charging a 1% fee to cover their costs the stingy one or the one that does not want to pay it? Or perhaps both or neither?

Personally I always pay cash if they have a surcharge haha.

        • +1

          @QuiOui: Definitely the shop.

    • +7

Silver, leave them on the counter. Gold, into my pocket then placed into a piggy bank at home or my top drawer at work.

      • +5

Silver, leave them on the counter

Dude, imagine how many maccas cones you could've bought with all that!

        • +5

          imagine minus the maccas

      • +8

Surely not the OzB way, leaving cash on the counter?

      • put in donation box instead of leaving it

      • OK, maybe I was being over indulgent. I might consider pocketing a fiddy cent.

It really isn't much money anymore. Nowadays I use my cards for just about everything. I don't find myself making many transactions which result in small change.

  • +1

Purchased one, been waiting since last deal.

    • Thanks for your patience

  • +3

have got a Bellroy…but this one looks good too…

  • Thanks. got one.

  • Was this made in Brisbane? QUT card on the photo, represent! Might get one, been looking for similar for awhile.

    • +2

These wallets are made in India using cow hide leather. They are great quality, as hopefully some previous buyers from the last deal can attest to. Local production at my small scale was not feasible (looking into in for the future - esp Kangaroo leather).

That's my wallet - I'm a post graduate student at QUT.

      • +16

isnt a cow sacred in india?

        • +41

Makes the wallet all the more impressive in that case.

        • +2

          Holy Cow!

      • +1

I bought one in the last deal. I needed a new slim wallet, previous Jag slim was getting a bit dodgy. Overall it's good. The leather is a bit thicker and firmer than I would have chosen if I had a chance to hold in my hand prior to purchasing. The all out in the open style is new to me, but I am liking it. I'd really like something with even thinner construction material, and am constantly on the hunt for one. If you want a thin wallet, then this is a good entry point. Realise that the essence of thin means less contents, if you want thin you don't want space for more cards, you need to carry less cards.

  • +1

Thx op.. got one.. waited since last deal as the black 4 sleeve was sold out :@)

    • +1

      Thanks for your patience :)

  • +6

How do you guys get around with only 4 or 6 or so cards in your wallet.
I'm no George Costanza but just checking my wallet I have 17 different cards in there lol.

    • +2

My wallet holds a license, credit card, and myki. There's nothing else I need on a day-to-day basis. Especially not when most days I'm only going from home to work and back.

I don't bother with "everyday rewards" or any of that nonsense, because I don't believe it's worth the time and effort.

      • +28

Download "Stocard" if you have iPhone. Keeps all your rewards cards. Perfect solution.

OR a trick I use is I print off the barcode of most used rewards card - like Woolies Everyday Rewards - and I stick it on the back of most used credit card. So when I pay I just take out one card! The Woolies checkout chicks also think this is brilliant and earns extra smiley points from them. No dates yet.

          Challenge Accepted.

        • +3

@montorola: just downloaded the app and tried to use my EDR barcode at BigW self checkout. The system does not recognise my phone :( I cried many tears

      • +1

A True ozbargainer would at least have a 28 degrees for electronics, a citi/me/ing for paypass cashback, a free for life citibank signature/platinum and an Amex card..

        • +1

I have them, but if I carry them with me it creates more wear and tear on my wallet, and increases my petrol costs marginally by requiring my car to carry the extra weight. ;)

Seriously, though, I just leave my other non-daily CCs at home.

    • My six:

      • Citibank signature for purchases
      • VISA debit for cash
      • GO Card (QLDs Myki)
      • Flybuys
      • Licence
      • Student card

The only thing I really miss is medicare, but I only go once or twice a year so leave it in the car.

If I go out I use the 4 card and drop the flybuys and student card

      • +26

I photocopied the barcode of my Flybuys & Woolworth Everyday Rewards card, put them back to back and laminated it. 2 cards in one and it's the thickness of a piece of paper.

        • +4

I do the same! Maybe this can become a business idea. Selling thin paper. Wait.

        • +1

          Genius

        • You sir are a genius!

        • +8

Install Stocard on your smartphone and put all of your loyalty barcodes in there. I've got 22 cards in mine! And my wallet hasn't been slimmer in years.

        • @cmdwedge: The app is good for card storage but I can't find a way to scan my cards at supermarket self checkout. Those scanners don't recognize barcodes on phone screens.

        • Really want to do this but I don't have a laminator!

        • +2

@721411: Clear sticky tape would work as well ;)

        • @cmdwedge: Just downloaded for Android. thanks for the tip.

        • @721411: you need to use the photo scanner up above, not the laser scanner that is used for the items.

        • @neil aus: Thanks, but where the hell is the photo scanner at the checkout? I've never seen any at Casuarina, NT Colworths. I always scan products and then pay via credit card, usually paywave but some machines need swiping/inserting card to proceed.

I once asked a staff to scan my phone screen and he ended up typing the code. Lol! I was so embarrassed that I didn't want to try it again!

        • +1

@721411: It's a small camera with a flybuys sticker on it, with a red and then green light shining down, maybe it hasn't yet arrived in your local store. It's in every Coles store around western NSW.

        • @neil aus:

I think I've seen them at normal checkouts but not the self check outs?

  • Hey just bought one of these moments ago, i would like to get a refund however can you please help aussiemillion?

    • +1

Of course, drop a note to [email protected]

      • +1

Hey I e-mailed but still haven't received a response yet. I'm just worried about you guys shipping it and me having to return it for a refund.

        • Apologies, have you received a response? I thought I'd responded to all queries. Whats your order number?

        • @aussiemillion:

          still havent, order #1233 thanks

        • @risque122:

Refunded. Didn't see an email sorry, am getting a bit flooded.

        • @aussiemillion:

No problem at all, just got the e-mail. Thanks again.

  • +1

Looks good OP, just bought one.

  • Love leather stuff. Hope it's done well as leather accessories all depend on how the leather is processed. Go QLD.

  • +2

This product is great. I have the dark brown one for a vintage look with 4 cards. It so ridiculously light. Really great wallet. I actually cheat and have 5 cards - my licence which I don't take out often is in the middle cash pocket, and there's still enough room to squish in cash comfortably!

  • +1

I am using one, great quality and look..

  • Just bought one 6cards black

  • +1

OP, how much does the 50 dollar note stick out when folded once and put into the smaller one?

    • +1

      It doesn't. Fits inside 100%.

    • Freelife is spot on. Thanks

  • +1

Thanks OP, have ordered the 6 card in black.

Also appreciate the reminder you gave a few days ago. Good customer service and following up on sale leads, that's how to get a business moving.

    • Very welcome

      • Any plans to make a passport wallet?

If it could be designed so that the 4 & 6 card wallets become an insert it would be awesome.

  • What's the height of the 4 card vs. the 6 card? Thanks

    • +2

      4 card: 7.2cm H x 10.2cm W

      6 card: 8.3cm H x 10.2cm W

  • Bought this Samsonite one on eBay yesterday… If there were more in stock, I would have posted it. Otherwise, price wise, this is very comparable.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261844989930?_trksid=p2057872.m27…

  • purchased one last time which I am currently using. good quality and value.
David, when are you expecting the watches to be released?

    • Hi qwerty - the watches have been a real struggle. I've had to change supplier due to quality issues and am now at least 2 months away. From now on with watches scheduling questions I'm going to preface with "at least". The prototypes from the new supplier do look great, there's some photos on Instagram/Facebook if you want to check them out.

  • This one looks good, has both normal and slim wallet aswell but $29 + $10 postage :/

As much as I would've loved to support the OP (home grown business and QUT!), I got the Dash 3.0.
I simply can't restrict myself to 6 cards!

  • Tempted but I think I need a little more room for cards, still waiting for a bellroy sale on the hide and seek model

  • +2

just bought the 4 card specifically for clubbing.

    • +1

      thats what i did lol!

    • +2

Should've bought the 6 card one gentlemen, the girls won't be impressed with just 4 credit cards =p

  • bought one.
    Thanks OP.
hope you deliver to Parcel Lockers.

    • Yeah, please deliver to Parcel Lockers…just ordered. =)

    • I am just learning about this now. The package will be sent via a "large letter" sized box. According to Australia Post, the locker won't accept them. What's unclear to me is what happens next, whether the box will go to the PO, will go to your home address, or returned to me as the seller.

Would appreciate if you could private message me your order # and an address to send to. It will fit in your letter box at home so hopefully that is suitable.

      • My local Post Office forwards to my home address. I get PinchMe items, some of them are in tiny box (size of my hand). I'm sure that it should be ok. I was just worry about if you use different courier services like Toll who don't deliver to Parcel Lockers.

        • That's great news. I've just learned from some googling that others get them fwded to home address, but it isn't advertised on Australia post.

I've prob delivered to lockers before without even knowing.
