Was looking cheap Xbox live gold subscription for my Xbox One and found this at Big W QV Melbourne.
It's not on special or drop zone price, so probably available at all BigW stores.

12 month Premium gold pack for $40, included in box ;

  • 12 Month Xbox live gold subscription
  • 200 Microsoft Point
  • Xbox 360 Headset
  • Xbox live arcade game (bankshot billiards 2)

Can not find the link in Big W website, so I attach receipt photo.
Though it's good price for $40.

BigW stored it in the locked cabinet, together with console and accessories.

Somehow I can't redeem the code straight away from Xbox one, it showing error code
however, try redeem the code from xbox.com and all good..
because old code maybe.

    Very good price if you are looking to renew your xbox live account. Likely i moved to PC gaming to avoid paying those subscription.

      One of the major reasons i was using to move from PS to Microsoft was the yearly subscription and the DLC. In sony they are in country basis while on Microsoft mostly in region basis and they are easily to work around.

      They have 3 month subscription marked drop zone price down from $39 to $30.
      Much better this one.. LOL.

    These must be previous generation special packs released before 2013 which Microsoft stopped using the Microsoft points

      These are for Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, not Xbox store purchases. They're denominated in months, and have nothing to do with Microsoft Points.

        Did you read the deal? The pack says it comes with 200 microsoft points, which jackau said microsoft has stopped using.

          You're right, my bad. I didn't read the list of inclusions properly.

          Anyway, the reason I posted was to emphasis that Gold subscriptions are still good, and not affected by any Microsoft Points => AUD change.

    This is an old stock which hardly any left in store. They were selling for $50 before 2013. And still charge you $40 now… ;-)

        And some Xbox Arcade game.
        That is mostly rubbish. And probably worth little if bought separately.

        Yeah, I'd say the subscription just comes with a free headset. Nothing else.
