      • Didn't see free delivery. Oh well. Couldn't find a good review of them and I was all set to buy 6. Could have been a total waste.

        • +1

          true… no idea why i have bought a 16GB SD card, a gigabit swtich and a card reader.

    • Yep, I just slammed them through as quick as I could, scored both decent headunits. Missed out on the 1TB PVR but got what I wanted :)

      • Did you NEED them? :P haha

        • Yes actually, dad needs one for cameras and I really need an android unit :( But this will have to do.

  • wow.. looks like I can pick up a cheap USB cable, $0.50

    • link?

    …..

  • +1

    s3 dropped in price? $198 .. sure it was more than that before?
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/phones/all-phones/samsung/samsung-…

  • Too slow…. I needed a camera..

    • missed out on the olympus ep5 and epl5..
      So i'll settle for different one then, bye money lol

  • Many will know today why some ozbargainers say buy now and think later :D. If you see a good deal, get it or you will miss it.

    • +4

      Oz bargain is too popular now. Pretty much turns every website into COTD.

  • Added Olympus E-PL5 and just about to checkout it said out of stock.Settled for Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7.

  • I got a KMix for $319 Decent Price IMO. It's $390 at Peters of K, from $550. So overall pretty good.

  • I got the EOS M.Decent deal!
    Cheers!

  • More stocks back online, like E-P5, EPL 5 ,etc

    • Did you just see the image, or did you check there is stock?

      No stock for many items that sold out yesterday, but reappeared today.

      Olympus E-PL5 Compact System with Twin Lense Kit… Gone!

      • Damn, I wish they had stock for EP5 I want one. :(

      • E-PL5 SLK is in stock though

        • Says Gone, as it was before.
          I searched the site.

        • @brucefromaustralia:

          nah when i posted that it was there and i was able to add it to cart

          guess it was sniped

      • I successfully added one (EP5) into the cart. but of course I didn't buy another one

        • +1

          looks like I missed again

        • Me too..

  • Is the site slowly adding more deals as it goes or did it start with everything that was there?

    • From what I have seen some of the slow moving items have been reduced in price. For example the switch went from $15 to $9. Windows 8 Pro went from over $100 to under $50.

  • +1

    How long do they normally take to deliver the item ? anyone ?

    • +1

      Says its usually shipped out in 5-7 days so should probably get it next week

      • tell him he's dreamin !!!
        still waiting 16 days tomorrow… WTF !!!

  • +2

    These days you have to find the bargain before ozb does to get a bargain.
    The eBay deals seem to be the only ones that give me an in stock bargain.

    There needs to be a feature where ozb messages you when an item you really want is listed in a bargain and starts getting upvotes.

  • And even at that price, no one wants the Canon EOS-M…

    Abandonware camera.

    • Still hesitating.. Read the reviews of it even though I own ef lenses already for my cannon slr. Such bad reviews! I guess I'll pull the trigger once it drops down even more

      • You need a lens adapter to use your DSLR lenses, but that's definitely the cheapest way. I don't know how hard it is to actually get but Digidirect has it listed at $121 which is cheap (RRP is $179). Thing is, with a bulky adapter and DSLR sized lenses what are you actually saving by using the EOS-M over your existing DSLR?

        I can definitely see why it's not selling.

        • Hmm. Yeah, I was thinking using this as a dedicated prime lens shooter. Thought that the kit came with the ef converter :(

        • @CVonV:
          yeps. Stock looked low so I ordered.

        • @CVonV:

          More power to you. If you can make it work for you, great and hope you get lots of terrific shots. I don't see the point at all for myself and I am camera obsessed.

        • @syousef:

          I already have a 700D and a E-PM1.. the fact that I can use my Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 and Canon 50mm f1.8 on the EOS-M is rather enticing.. but yeah it's another $200 that's totally unnecessary ><

        • +1

          @CVonV:

          I have the 700d also. I picked it up quite cheaply from digidirect at theit last nye sale and used the double cashback. I had been a nikon only guy for over a decade. Now I'm dual system guy. Almost bought a 70D but the 700 was so cheap and some 70d have focus accuracy issues below f4 that canon refuses to acknowledge

    olympus e-pm2 SLK and olympus e-pl5 twin lens kit and SLK back in stock AGAIN (ex-display though)
    what the heck jb…

    • I ended up getting the Olympus e-pl5 twin lens kit yesterday even though I had already bought a new camera a couple of weeks ago, shipped this morning can't wait to mess around with it.

      • Me too :D Though I don't know what I'll do now with the other camera I ordered a few days ago…

        • Which one did you order? Happy to buy off you if it was E-P5

        • @np: unfortunately I missed out on the e-p5, so I ordered the e-pm2 instead.

        • @pea: Ah right, thanks anyway

      • +1

        how's the condition of your package?

        I got the EPL5 twin lens kit when they were supposed to be "NEW".
        Mine is missing the 40-150mm lens, battery and also the camera serial number does not match of that on the box and warranty card.

        There's lots of fingerprints on the screen and lens. Some minute dusts on the sensor too.

        Hope yours is all good and you're happy shooting now :)

        • +1

          Mine hasn't arrived yet but that doesn't fill me with confidence, I have bought an ex display camera from JB before and it was as new with all the components still sealed in their original packaging. So hopefully that is an anomaly but that really sucks all the same.

        • +1

          Same problem, missing 40-150mm lens. Let me know you go with Customer Service. I'm just about to contact now.

        • Mine has since arrived this morning, everything is in the box and similarly covered in fingerprints but otherwise perfectly fine.

        • +1

          @unity1:

          Nice Elizabeth St managers, even offered to replace with store stock. After checking system and contacting the online store there's no stock left.

          So, great store staff but poor online division.
          1. Sold refurb as new
          2. Missing 40-150mm lens and battery
          3. Camera having mismatching serial number with the one on box and warranty card

          The store manager offered to give a full refund. I'll see how things come out.

          @Coconaut:

          Great to hear, do enjoy your camera :)

        • +1

          @sayako:

          Can you specific which Elizabeth St store?

          I haven't received the phone that I ordered yet, actually it haven't even been shipped yet.

          But I have a bad feeling that a lot of people will be getting ex display stock……..

          So I probably will be heading down there soon enough.

        • +1

          @garratt torlesse:

          Hello, I hope some of us do receive new stock. Elizabeth St has the main electronics store which I went, the phone store and also a music store.

          Although the clearance prices were very low, it does not mean they can sell refurbed/display stock as new, unless stated clearly on website. I ordered the EPL5 before they put the "Ex-Display" wordings.

        • @sayako: Thanks for the reply. Also tried looking for stock but no stock anywhere. Not going to use this until problems sorted out.

        • @unity1:

          I returned mine as missing lens+battery+ different serial number.

          Store Manager arranged for a full refund.

        • +1

          @sayako: Good result, but will feel sorry for the poor bugger that receives your returned product.

        • +1

          @unity1:

          I feel bad for the camera, it is just unfortunate to have been misplaced in a wrong box and missing its battery.
          Otherwise I'm happy to use it.

          Business ethics of JBHIFI Online division? Hmmm…second thoughts…third thoughts…

        • +1

          @sayako: Online gave me a $20 gift card as an apologies due to issues with my order, I dealt directly with them. Just heaps up for those returning item/refunding

        • +1

          @np: Do you have their direct contact details please? What issues did you have?

        • +1

          @unity1: No, through email. They don't have a phone service. And my order didn't go through, I wasn't charged though.

        • +1

          @sayako: It was an online order, but didn't stock come directly from their retail stores?

        • +1

          @unity1:

          I think some stock are from retail stores. But others are from their warehouse.

          https://www.jbhifi.com.au/General/Help-Centre/Shipping-and-D…

          Consumer Electronics (CE) products sold through JB Hi-Fi Online are either sourced from our warehouse in Melbourne or from a JB Hi-Fi store, depending on the type of item and its availability. All products are shipped via courier direct to customer unless store pick-up has been requested.

        • @garratt torlesse: My box had texta marks trough the barcodes and serial numbers. Stock marked in this way is usually store stock from what I have been told. Something they do during stock take counts.

        • +1

          @unity1:

          My packaging had Altona DC on it. Not sure if it's the central warehouse or a retail store.

          @unity1:
          There's a large sticker on the camera that I received, not sure if it's store display stock. Dont think normal stock would have such sticker label

        • i warned you guys about getting ex display cameras…

        • +1

          @CVonV:

          even when they were advertised as "NEW", they shipped ex-display.

        • +1

          @sayako:

          pure dodginess right there :/

        • +1

          @sayako: Looked like mine had some sort of label on the bottom of the body which has been ripped off leaving some residue.

          Still to reply to my email from JB.

        • @Coconaut: 16 days tomorrow…
          I CANT WAIT ANYMORE… argh lol

        • @np: wow… !
          a $20 gift card. how about a $20 gift card that can be exchanged for cash, cos who would buy from this totally crap excuse for an online store ???
          I will be asking for more than that, in my case.
          like the model instore as replacement, at the very least.
          16 days tomorrow. greatest online store… eva !!!
          lol

      • Mine arrived today and everything was fine; only minimal fingerprints and dust. Happy with the purchase.

        To compare, the e-pm2 (new stock) I had ordered from jb initially was definitely not untouched so to speak. The battery was inside the camera, the plastic parts that attach for the flash were outside and no protective plastic on the screen. Just a few minor things.

        So I don't need the e-pm2 anymore, do you reckon jb will refund me still?
        (Unless someone is interested in buying it from me)

        • Did you reorder another one? What camera you received today?
          Great to hear there's one that's fine. Do enjoy.

          Yes I received the EPL5 with battery inserted, no factory screen protector on the camera.

        • @sayako: I received my e-pl5 today.
          Basically, I only ordered the e-pm2 because the e-pl5 which I wanted more was out of stock. Then a few days later the e-pl5 (display stock) was available.

          Reading the thread, I thought you said the battery was missing?
          Anyway it's a bummer your order wasn't fulfilled properly; at least you got good customer service.

  • No one has mentioned the blue fox sound station/wireless chargers.
    Has anyone got any experience with them? A Google doesn't bring up much info on them.

  • +1

    Received the Kenwood car stereo this afternoon, but I'm taking it back to my local store for a refund. It was advertised as having dab, iPhone control and Bluetooth - apparently yes it "has" Bluetooth when you buy an additional $450 unit, so screw that. Pretty dodgy advertising I reckon!

    • +1

      Nah mate. Was it the $79/$89 one? If you read carefully it never was listed as having bluetooth. Only as being Bluetooth Ready (which required an additional purchase)

      • yeah. $96 down to $79 on the 20/5/15. still waiting, 16 days tomorrow…
        I ordered, and paid for 5 of these units.
        next step, is to demand a free upgrade to the $237 units instore.
        only difference… 4yrs newer, and Bluetooth ($20 value - internal module).
        see how it turns out.

        ban_jb-online

  • +1

    Still waiting….. Not even shipped. :(

    • Yours is taking ages, all mine have been shipped and I've received 2/3 of my orders

      • +1

        I ordered a kmix. Making cakes well have to wait

  • Ordered a few cheap 10.2" Leather Notebook Cases. The online order states "BLACK" and magically the packing slip states "RED"; the latter was delivered. Way to dump stock JB; the punters won't bother to return them.

    • yeah same , i got red even, but can't complain for $2.

  • +1

    I received mine about 2 days ago (epl5 single lens kit). The protective plastic still intact and also checked the serial number on the body match with the card inside the box. I would have thought the battery will be in the plastic but surprisingly its inside the camera body, not sure if that's normal.

    Other than that all the lens and everything looks clean.

  • I'm a little concerned that my camera hasn't arrived yet. Email notification of shipment received last Friday.

    anyone else still waiting?

    • My phone isn't even shipped yet.

      • Ditto

    • Must be looking for all the individual parts to make it a complete unit.

  • Still waiting.

  • My camera shipped on 21 May but hasn't arrived. Should I be worried?

    • My camera came with overnight toll delivery. Delivered next day from ship confirmation

    • It arrived on 29 May but the person I sent it to thought that it could not have arrived because they were never called to the door to sign for it.

      Sold as an ex-display camera, it is, so they say, like new in original packing.

      • My Kmix, took forever to get :( But, it's brand new, unless they managed to get ALL the fingerprints off the chrome. Unlikely, but the label suggests it came from a warehouse.

    • I would be.

      According to JB general shipping info it should have been sent via direct courier and received within 2-5 days of shipment notification for metro areas. (3-7days for regional).

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/General/Help-Centre/Shipping-and-D…

      mine was shipped on 22/5 but not yet received so I've contacted via their website to find out what's going on.

    • I didn't get a response to online enquiry so I rang JB today (1300 665 425). Apparently my camera has just been returned to sender due to "issue with the address".

      The address they have is correct, and I've never had a problem with address in the past. Something smells fishy but as long as it gets here soon I'll be happy enough.
