Looks like a smaller model in Orange is only $10 too ($16.37 Shipped): http://h20386.www2.hp.com/AustraliaStore/Merch/Product.aspx?…

Good prices however I have no idea how any of these sound :(

  • Any review on the speakers?

  • -2

Out of stock for all of them.

  • Yep, couldn't check out….

  • +1

just let me check out a blue and white one ..

    • +1

I'll delete the three in my cart. Good luck!

      • +1

        Thanks! It worked!

  • +1

$24.45 delivered. Still lets me check out.

  • I assume these are all mono speakers but no use getting two to make stereo sound is there?

    • Correct, they are Mono speakers however as per all other singular Bluetooth Speakers they would mix the stereo stream so you still get all the information just not the separation… and no, you cannot buy two and allocate one as 'left' and the other as 'right'.

      • +1

If you buy the more expensive Roar Plus for $66 it DOES have this feature. It's a shame the cheaper one can't do this, they'd be great for home theatre rear channels if you could.

        • Wow, I missed that… but I was only reading the standard model. That's impressive but for $132 for a pair I'm not sure it's worth it.

      • +1

        From the HP website:

        "Full stereo with dual speakers
Wirelessly connect two HP Roar Plus speakers for a full left and right immersive stereo audio sensation."

(edit, sorry, that's the roar 'plus')

        • As above, impressive but as you say that feature is only available on the $66 model.

  • why does mine include delivery??

    • for $17, $16.50 or some other price?

Or are you buying over $50?

    • It can appear as though Delivery is included but that changes the further through the Checkout process (unfortunately)

  • Just ordered :D

  • Bought one, endup total of $21.98 after discount, will see how it goes.

  • I keep having issues with not being able to provide address details. Anyone else having a similar problem?

    • Yes…I created an account before going thru the order process….that helped. But then it still wouldn't accept the billing address as a PO BOX so therefore wouldn't accept my credit card payment, so had to go the direct deposit route!

      • Looks like it wants a country field - even though they don't give you the option to put one in…

I'm now sitting in a situation where it says that I've paid (it's showing up under my orders), but I'm not sure if the payment has actually gone through because it was spitting errors… so now I don't know if it's actually gone through or not… Guess I can just wait and see…

  • Just bought one. Thanks Op. Given that Amazon sales them for 67 USD I'd say this is pretty cheap.

  • Cheap Bluetooth speakers. Low expectation on sound quality, just hope it works without cutting out.

    Ordered, thanks OP.

  • These seem cheap but sound quality is unknown. I recently got the Sony SRS-X3 for $79 and it is pretty impressive for sound (for it's size). Also, the Bluetooth range is more like 15m for the Sony which makes it more useful.

  • +1

I just ordered 4 white speakers. $56 with free delivery (purchases over $50 get free delivery with HP).
Will make great birthday presents! Thanks OP.

    • It's actually only $56.10 for 4, Just did the same - 3 presents….

Ahh…looks like you just beat me with your edit - good work anyway.

      Thanks OP

  • what's the difference between Roar and Roar Plus?

  • +1

    • +2

      Awesome deal regardless, thanks OP!

  • Thanks Op. Just ordered one for $21.95 incl. Delivery

    • +2

let me guess…1 white speaker , 1 blue speaker, 1 HP Z6000 Wireless mouse , 1 premium backpack. lol

      • lol

      • Dang~! LOL ;-)

  • got a White Roar & a Blur Roar

  • It's not the same as Sound Blaster Roar is it?

    • No, I thought the same. Soundblaster roar is meant to be fantastic for its size.

  • +1

Thanks guys, thats a good price for bluetooth and brand speaker. Amazon users rate 4+ stars for this.

  • White or blue?

White looks lame, but so does the playskool baby blue

  • Bought less than $50 and still FREE shipping.

    • Please share your magic :)

  • Bought speaker . Thanks OP

  • bought 2 premium HP backpack, 1 red 14" red sleeve, 2 speakers (1 white 1 blue). $53 delivered!!! Well, enough shopping for today. Spent ~~$100 for this and the JB HiFi clearance. Now I saw the 10% off TECH on Ebay. Must resist!!!

  • was there a $2 fee for using AMEX? I got charged extra $2 fee.

  • Bought 3 speakers for $50.3 delivered. Thanks OP :)

  • Having an Ozbargain crisis… do I really need all of this stuff? Prices are better than what I get as being a HP Partner.

  • Expired:(

  • yeah game over, seems like pricing error,
speaker back to $79 and $19 for laptop case.

  • i just missed it. was ready to pay. when i checked out, price has changed to $79. bugger!

  • price changed to $79, bargain is finished!

    • +1

      pricing error?

      • don't think so.

maybe only 100 limited for that price!

  • Damn it, missed it too because their checkout system is dumb. Added the orange speaker, went through the whole credit card details process to find out that it's out of stock at the end. There was no option to remove it there and then. Went back all the way to sales page to find more items and when checked out items expired. Good one HP

  • Now what, pray that it gets honoured?

    • yep

      goodluck guys :)

    • -1

why wouldn't they?. we're talkin about HP here.

  • Ahhh well I'm happy to get over 100 votes on my first day of posting(just!).

Hopefully they don't try and claim a pricing error - they've changed the prices for all the accessories by varying degrees now and I didn't even get a speaker!

    • first day??

were you the guy who entered the wrong code at HP to get upvotes on OzBargin???

      Because that's a brilliant idea!!

But not kudos, keep posting my man/woman!!

      • Haha I miss what you meant with the code? Did I post an incorrect wrong? I went through a few to find one that worked. I'm over due to share some things for other people to spend/waste money on!

        • lol sorry what i meant was, were you the guy who entered the wrong price at HP (as in are you working there).
It was supposed to be a joke, apologies :)
Good find either way!! Should of bought more but thought I would share with my fellow brethren

  • I'm sorry that this post is late to the party…but I purchased the hp roar some time ago and compared to about 5 bluetooth speakers I own, it has dsp issues that clip the sound constantly which ruin playback…does any one else have this issue?

    • I think you're asking us a bit too early mate, the deal practically just finished =p

  • :D I brought 4… TQ

  • +2

Great…I still have my Sony SRS-X3 UNOPENED from last $79 deal and now I've bought another two wireless speakers (1 Roar and 1 Roar plus)…..

Oh well, I can only say Wireless anything + ozBargain good deal = instant buy, no question asked.

    • Hi Mate,
could you please sell one of the wireless speaker to me ?
      thanks a lot.
I just missed this offer and X3 offer as well..

  • +1

i picked up a Z6000 Wireless mouse for $10 prices changed now to $49

    • Also looked at getting one but the online reviews made me think it`s not even worth $10…

  • Is the price back to $159 now? Or it's just me -__-'

    • Roar Plus is currently listed at $159

  • +1

Did anyone else get charged two separate transaction of $1 on their bank account?

    • +1

      Yes. Probably preauth transactions.

      • I've been wondering what that was :@

        • It's just a way of checking if your card is valid and eligible for transactions. They debit a small amount from your card and credit it back to test your card validity.

  • I just got estimated delivery date of 05/06/15 and estimated receive date of 10/06/15…a whole 3 weeks for it to be delivered to my door…is that delayed or what?

    • it was mentioned in the description.

  • has anyone received any further email?

  • +3

I just received my speaker (Sydney). There was no email to say it had shipped. Nice surprise :)

    • were you on the 1-3 weeks order or earlier?

      • When I ordered, the description said 1-3 weeks, but I can't see anything mentioned in the order confirmation email.

    • +2

My order of 2x Roar Plus arrived this morning in Adelaide, also with no shipment notice

    • +1

Just got mine as well. (Melbourne).

    • Received in Adelaide today as well :D

  • Received mine this morning (Sydney). Pretty fast.

Was expecting to wait at least a few weeks.

  • +2

Those who received, keen to review the product ?

As of amazon, the recent ones rated this battery/usb terrible or plays only a few minutes and shuts down after……

    • +1

I'm no expert and I don't have any similar product to compare it to so I won't give any in depth review. However I used it for 5.5 hours straight today on battery and it is still going without any low battery warning, so can at least tell you there are no issues there for me at least. Bluetooth connectivity works really well, easy to connect multiple devices as well if I want to switch playing something from my laptop to phone can do quickly.

I'm very happy with it for the price, sound is quite crisp to me, even when very loud. However I don't disagree with the previous comment at all, about it not being worth $159 and I am sure there are other options with better bass if you are paying those sort of prices.

      • true…22 dollars for this portable 8hr battery…not complaining at all!! since atm we have a 68 dollar srs-x3b (sony) at ebay dse atm…that is also very very tempting… as JB is selling that for 199!

    • My one has the battery issues. Will be attempting a return to HP.

      • Same here. Battery won't charge, need to connect to power source all the time.

  • the sound definitely not worth $159, my JBL flip sounds better and has more bass than this one..bit disappointed but nice to give as a present when the occasion arises.

  • Still waiting for my speaker. How could many from Sydney got theirs and not me? :(
