I wonder who at pepsi is getting fired for this failure

    • +2

Probably a friend of the idiot at Coca Cola that suggested the same.

      • +1

At $2 a 24 pack they company is probably still make 150% profit ahaha

      • Which drink at coke failed?

    • its great I think.

    • The .01 would suggest it's just short-dated stock. Given how much it's marked down by, it probably expires within the next couple of days.

e: Down below says they expire tomorrow, so yep.

      • +2

That's ok though. Just put them in the freezer to keep them fresh.

  • +9

Best thing to come out of Canberra

    • +1

At full price, you could possibly still make that claim.

    $2! Outrageous.

Outrageous indeed. I wouldn't drink Pepsi Next even it was free… it is awful…

    • +8

Time to get ur eyes checked. That's the basket behind the cartons.

        • +5

Pro Photoshop skills, great to see those free Udemy courses going to good use!

        • @Kados: maybe it has something to do with use by dates, or maybe an employee is about to be told "Next!"

  • +5

Only cheap beacuse they are they "BLUE" next cans, not the new "GREEN"

    • +1

      Yeah blue is so 2014!

  • +1

    Nationwide?

    • -4

Why don't you go down to your local Big W and let us know?

      • +10

Because my local big w is 150kms away. Cheers for the help mate.

    • +1

No chance. The .01 suggests it's soiled and/or damaged stock. In this case, almost certainly because it's short dated (probably within the next few days given the heavy mark down).

      • How do you know about the 0.01?

        • 0.1 is 10 times of 0.01, thats what I knew

      • It's old stock, can have been green since Christmas, these are the old blue cans.

  • Stop taking photos, start grabbing!

  • +4

I must be in the minority in that I prefer Next over the normal Pepsi.

I'll have to drop by this arvo (provided they aren't reported as ozbargained first!)

    • I am the same, I like Next, pity woolies supermarket dont sell the 24 pack any more (space removed and Coke has paid for more shelf space)

      • Still have the 24s at my locals. The 12 packs often go on sale for $6 anyway :)

        • I think our Woolies then. They are always getting rid of brands our family buys, most times replacing with their own brand.
We used to spend 100% of our grocery money at Woolies now it's 50% because of this, the rest is Coles and Aldi.

  • +2

Can anyone confirm if this is available elsewhere?

    • saw no pepsi next at Big W a few days back. (robina)

    • No Pepsi Next at Doncaster VIC

  • Waiting for $2.00 … (and yes I do know in cash it will be that already…)

  • -1

I'd laugh if this a practical joke by an employee. Wait for the customer to get to the checkout and it's 20.01$ lol

  • +3

If this was in SA you'd be making money.

    • 40 cents per pack in fact (only if you buy 2 packs at a time)!

    • Can't wait for Kramer and Newman to discover this arbitrage opportunity!

  • +1

Staff Xmas party drinks sorted ;)

Oh yeah, finally a reason to visit ACT

  • Best before date is next week?

    • Lucky it contains Natural Preservatives then.

  • +1

I saw them in store but they have expiry day of tomorrow.

    • I thought so.

    • +3

after expiry, use to clean the toilet.

      • Or the windows….Or your guts….

    • +4

A true OzBargainer would buy a box and scull it before midnight tonight lol

  • +1

So what is Pepsi Next anyway? Is this like their version of the Coca Cola Life?

    • +2

Yes, but next has been around a lot longer than life.

    • Pepsi Next is good for when people ask if you want Pepsi and you say "Next". Coca Cola Life is good for when people ask if you want a Coke Life and you say "Get a life"

      • Drink enough of these and you'll fast track a trip to the "next" "life".

    • yep, been around for ages before Coke Life here.
Pepsi Next was Blue cans and then changed to Green late last year.

    • This is what coke life will be in 6 months

  • +2

    Cheaper than water

  • old stock as its blue cans.

  • Need to Travel to Canberra for that special bargain.

  • The $X.01 indicates that its a local markdown. Within a week of best before date I would guess.

  • +1

Holy crap at this price I can finally swim in Pepsi! (not like I really want to, but it feels fancy!)

  • Not a deal

  • -1

18 cases left at Civic as at 7:30pm. Thanks OP!

  • has anyone purchased? can confirm their Used By Date?

    • I got one yesterday (thanks OP!) . Best before 23/5/15. In reality, they are fine after. Price was $4.01 the day before and $8.01 the day before that. At $2 it was finally a bargain!! Not sure if they'll be selling them today as woolies won't sell on the best before date.

  • All gone. Different display up.

  • true, someone i know works at a packaging warehouse

they have chocolate, yogurt send by clients to change the use by date to later date so they can still sell
