Animelab Premium - Free Trial for 30 Days (AUD$69.95 Per Annum)

20

Guys,

As I about to watch Nisekoi, this news came up.

Basically, Animelab is now offering Premium service at $69.95 per Annum.

What's the bargain? Well, it's free trial for 30 days. Cancel before 30 days expired, no more to pay.

More in this webpage:
http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2015/05/animelab-switching-to-prem…

The problem is, the server is a bit unstable probably being hammered by applicants hence why I used Gizmodo website as a reference.

I assume you guys already know what Animelabs is.

PS: It's already been a free service but the premium offers more but my favourite is HD and simulcasts. If you can wait longer, the simulcasts perks will be available for free users.

  • My wife likes Anime… how good is it compared to Funimation?

Shame it only supports ios and android (and Appletv and chrome)

And if their website can't handle a few Anime fans (and let's be honest anime is a niche product, more so the market for people willing to subscribe to it) god knows how well the service can hold up.

  • You might just want to add "per year".

Signing up for AnimeLab’s premium service will set you back $6.95 per month, or $69.95 per year.

This might be worth looking into. Thanks.

  • Crunchyroll similar price per yr ($60), and includes manga

  • How is this vs Crunchyroll (this seems to be the major player in this area) ? (they also have free trials but depending where you look 14 or 30 day free trial premium).

    • Never knew about Crunchyroll. Plus their catalogue seem ahm… wide range… (if you know what I mean).

Maybe someone here can attest to their quality of service. They seem to be offering free Gamefly trial at the moment too.

But I can attest Animelabs. Quality is awesome and like their ranges.

      • I don't care much for anime streaming services but you can't fault CR's range, and their translation, typesetting and encoding quality are generally far superior to Funi. Animelabs probably sources whatever current shows it has from one of these two.

(if you know what I mean).

        What do you mean?

        • I've used crunchyroll for years and animelab since it was released in Au. I prefer animelabs browser viewer but CR has the better catalog each season and a built in appletv app so I don't have to rely on AirPlay or DNLA streaming (or whatever that of streaming service is) if I want to view on my TV.

Recommend using CR with getlfix for best content.

Both are good value for someone who streams 10+ series a week and watches older content :)

        • @gc19wa:

You can use Chromecast on animelab. Tried it yesterday.

        • @burningrage: I'm in an apple house so while I think it's great for the extra flexibility, I'd be ignorant of that :). Thanks for sharing though and sorry for so late a reply!

  • Abit too steep in price considering I have crunchyroll.

Might check out Funimation now since they have a native ps4 app.

  • anime is dead anyway

    • You mean we've reached "Peak Pokemon"?
