  Reminds me of a discussion we had a few months back at the pub - it went like this

  Gee wiz business is down this month - no orders whatta we gonna do? Oh lets go to Australia's greatest bargain site, everyone there will want a discounted website and hey if we make the discount 40% off they will just come flocking to the door. Now there's a great marketing strategy, give the man another beer.

  You know Bosss, its cheap and effective It's really 40% off what??? MMMhhhh lets see….. today we have a request for a website - now we are offering 40% off, so lets just load the price by 60% to make up for this then we are ahead, so we make up for the discount and we even pay for the beers tonight. BURRRP!

  yeah at least it should say something about the price…

  but good effort, was in the industry for couple of years and its really hard to find customers knocking on the door….mostly you find someone with a million idea but only have so much on hand
