  • Nice !
Need to spend about $600 there to get a heatstrip.

You can also shop in-store and avail this offer. Just need a printout of the email that OP posted above.

    • Actually all you need is the voucher which is a "cut" from the email. The full email isnt required - they even provide the scissors.. :)

      • I dont have a rewards card, can I still get the 10% off? can I apply for the card in store?

        • Easier do it online and you can print a "temporary" card out. You can get card at Woolies not sure about masters stores

  • Which is hilarious because they do not accept everyday rewards cards at Masters.

    • Actually I believe they do, you just dont get any points… And you may find you dont need to use the card at all. Just letting people know what the email says.

Carrying the card, then finding out you do not need it wouldn't be too much trouble vs finding you dont get the discount

      • +3

So they accept the card but I don't earn any everyday rewards points!
I need to see if coles will accept it. Probably achieve the same result and earn no points. WIN!

  • Does anyone know if this can be stacked with 5% sign up email?

    • Generally not in store - having tried using a trade card, the staff said there is only one button for a discount. Try on line, then do a pickup if it works.

      • All promos and offers from Masters are only able to be used by themselve, The 5% sign up email is online only, Not available in store, Same as the trade card, The Trade card is in store only, Not available to get the 5% off from it online.

  • Anyone want to recommend me a nice electric heater for a small 2br unit?

  • +6

Careful as i've noticed some online prices have gone up.

    Something I was looking for

    Eg.
    Dyson DC43H - Was $299 now $320

    • Hate companies that do that… Prices go up before the sale

    • Do they do price match?

      • they do price match but not price beat 10% for appliances.

The one that I need to know whether or not if they do price match and then are we still able to use this 10%?

        • +1

Masters can only use one promo or offer in any single transaction. So it will need to be one or the other.

        • @NormalNorman: Is the Price Guarantee a promo or offer though? I would be inclined to argue its not and it is a standard that forms part of the Customer Commitment that they have.

Could be wrong but I reckon it would be worth a go as I am sure it would depend on who the staff member is at the time.

        • @jollster101: It would come under an offer, As Masters is offering to lower the price for you. And the promotions that come out do state that they cannot be used with any other promo or offer.

Generally the staff members will need to get it approved by their managers.

I hope that clears things up for you :)

        • @NormalNorman:

It did but I have chanced my arm anyway and it worked. F&P front loader washing machine priced at $1049. They price matched down to Appliances Online price of $888 and then gave me the 10%.

          Total price paid $799.20.

That was this morning at the Braybrook store in Vic.

          Happy days.

Companies need to stop sending me emails asking me to print things.

  • Does Masters have makita mitre saw?

  • I punched in RULES10 as promo code, but it did not work

    • +3

Might have to wait until tomorrow.

      • Didn't work for me today either…

        • Works for me if I type in my EDR number first

        • @Chik5555: Thanks that makes sense - so in the same field? Or you have to be logged in with EDR?

        • @drillvoice: on the first checkout page, over on the left. I didn't fill in any other details or log in, just typed my number into that field and then the promo code on the right and it said 'successfully applied' or similar

Wonder if this works in WA as we had the Queen's Birthday holiday a week earlier?

    • May not work cuz ur queen is born on a different day. Different queen i suppose. :p

I dont see why it wont work. It just says from 6 June to 8 June.

      • I punched in promo code, before I gave my "everyday reward card number".

      • Our queen, Lizzy Windsor, was born on 21st April, so you missed it. Too late to send a card now. Not sure why you'd celebrate it in June.

    • Worked for me in Forrestdale, wouldn't scan so entered it manually.

  • +1

Whenever i have been to Masters they keep telling me that they dont accept the EDR card. Has something changed?

    • As both are owened by Woolworths, Times like this we offer EDR members a discount, Or items on sale just for them. You do not receive any points in using your EDR card in store or online.

      • +1

ok. Cuz every time i would scan my EDR card it would just come up as Product not found.

P.S didnt know that had Masters in Auckland. :p

        • Masters Home Improvement is Australia only. I just used to work for them, Living in NZ now.

        • @NormalNorman: oh ok. makes sense now.

  • Please note: $10 cashback for AMEX spend $30 at woolies

    Just an idea below:

    1. purchase $30 wishgift cards at Woolies (costs $20 after cashback)
    2. shop at masters with wish gift cards that have been purchased at 33%off
    3. please do check that masters are offering cheapest price in the market
3a) if not cheapest of identical product - master will pricematch and should beat the price of competitor

If this method works, you maybe able to save 33% on top of the cheapest market price of the item.

    Can anyone confirm this works?

    • As long as Masters accept Wish Gift cards for purchase of items then I cannot see why not.

Is the AMEX offer limited to a set number of transactions in a day or in total??

Scrub that, it looks like its only one $10 credit. Not a $10 credit every time.

    • Sure it works if your purchase is under $30. Maybe buy a doorknob

  • EDIT - 10% only applies from 6 June for anyone who is interested.

  • Cheers OP :)

The code is working online. Doesn't apply discount to delivery charges tho. Also don't forget 2% cash back from Cash Rewards as well.

  • Voucher was not accepted in store at Masters Everton Park, qld. Was forced to pay full price. Pretty annoyed. I drove past a Bunnings on my drive to Masters.

    • Did you scan your EDR first?

      • I tried to, wouldn't scan. Was told by the self serve attendant that they weren't honouring them. I was told the same thing at the service desk.

        • That's terrible! Seems to be working online via click and collect for EP. Haven't processed my order yet but if you pay online surely they will hand over your order.

        • I got the discount at Everton Park… the girl on the service desk had to put it in as a "managers special" as they knew there were issues with the scan code and had to honour the promo.

Prior to this I had 10 mins getting them to honour their price beat guarantee at the service desk… I missed the $199 Fatmax combo last week, showed them the current Home Timber Fatmax deal for $239 and they said "yes, we can match that…" The 10 minutes was used pointing out their price beat guarantee policy and getting the price down to $215.

Would have all been easier if I bought the darn thing for $199 last weekend LOL :)

The above was for 2 different purchases…. The price beat purchase gave a better than 10% discount so I split my shopping list up to avoid confusion

    • For real? Thinking of heading down to the store tomorrow since for some reason Masters don't sell protection plans online any more. The code is working online so not sure why they would say it's invalid.

  • this will go down well with my 30% discounted egiftcards

  • I know it sounds duh but can anyone please help to explain how to do the cashback thing? I am about to buy the electrolux dryer 5kg. I have searched around and could not find any cheaper elsewhere. $459 with 10% discount is 413 which I think is a fair price for a new model.

PS. If we buy the Wish E gift card we will save 5% plus 2% from cashreward is a total save of 17%?

    • +2

It would be around a 16% saving :)

Btw you have to go through Cash Rewards after logging in there (search for Masters).

      https://www.cashrewards.com.au

      www.cashrewards.com.au

If you buy on line (in store pickup - or home delivery) you will get 2% from Cashrewards if you go via the link to Masters. (this can take a few months to be credited(

Also before you go, you can buy your giftcards which are emailed to you (allow 12 hours) which you can use to pay for your dryer, hence saving the 5% just order saya $450 gift card, and you can use trhe balance at Woolies, masters or other

      EDIT
(just beaten to this by dins while typing)

      • You gave a proper explanation tho mine was just a couple of lines :)

      • thank you for a clear explanation. just bought the giffcard.

      • where will the 2% reward go to? my everyday reward card? or it will go back to the gift card?

        • +1

It should show up in your cash rewards a/c in a few weeks time.

  • Any one else had trouble getting the 10% off in-store?

    • +1

Yeah… wasn't as simple as it could have been. See my post above :)

    • +1

The only trouble I had was trying to scan the barcode off my Moto360 watch or phone screen..

I was at the self serve checkout, so no staff members involved. After I had trouble scanning the code from my screens, I noticed on the till touchscreen there is an option to "key in code" so I did that and entered in the barcode numbers - and it worked YAY :)

Saved $5 off a $50 purchase. When I entered the code it came up as a 10% deal discount.

In this day and age, I disagree with companies encouraging people to self-print emails/vouchers (some people dont even own printers) rather than accepting a digital copy from a phone (far more convenient, and tree friendly).

  • Thanks OP, looking at buying dishwasher, on line, the site offered mail delivery Australia Post $9.95 where as Masters truck delivery $75-00. I am up to pay cart, and I wonder if they will honour the price paid? Does any one else experienced this interesting situation? thanks

    • +1

They have in the past also I just ordered the drill that was posted here in another thread and I have received confirmation of the order. As I said have used voucher codes in the past and they were always honoured, except where they ran out of stock.

BTW also ordered and paid with the gift card

      • Thanks RockyRaccoon same experiences. But in this case not that sure to post a dishwasher to me will cost $9.95 as quoted at checkout of cart.

        • +1

Yep they will honour it. I ordered a couple bags of potting mix plus other goods for 9.95 post which they honoured. They seem to have updated the postage cost for it now (truck delivery only).

For bigger orders or orders with large goods, they will use Allied Express (unless you use their in-house truck delivery service)

  • Worked for me in store at Masters South Oakleigh, the cashier just scanned the barcode in the link provided by the OP here straight from my phone. Saved $4! Woohoo!

    Thanks OP :)

  • Saved $89 at Marsden Park today :)
    Thanks OP
