Yep, it's for users who had purchased the upgrades already - they are now offering free wireless desktop packs to all those users.

why wouldnt they give it to people who are yet to buy it , seems like a weird promo to me
I think its because they recently just released the Family Pack editions of Windows 7 and people who bought those 3 copies of home edition individually might be peeved that they got ripped off because they bought prior to the family packs being released.

i'm not sure how many people in the known universe would have bought THREE (3) x Home Premium upgrades for their THREE (3) personal machines
i'm guessing this doesn't work for OEM ($110 each?)
it only works for retail which is $159 (?) - and if you paid $450 odd for licenses you are kinda dedicated
so to placate the odd people who bought it they give you three MS Desktops…

If you have 3 or more PCs in the house, people would have purchased the ugprades - they may have even purchased them for others, not sure.
it will sure suck for people who bought 2 x Win7 and realise the combined cost is nearly the same as the family pack… or those who bought 4… must be really be peeved :)
