Wow, the simcard can cost more than that

  • +7

I like that they could not even sell it out for $9 previously…

    • +5

That's cause they weren't listed here…@ $9 they would have been Brodened.

    And 3 months netflix

  • Optus-locked!

    • +13

Who cares, there's super-cheap Netflix to be had!

      • Just want OP to put it on the title. Anyone who can buy it from where you live, enjoy!!!

  • I suspect this may be eligible for the 3 months free Netflix offer from Optus, which is worth $35.97.

    Perhaps someone can confirm.

    Great deal either way!

    • +2

I don't think so. I believe only these prepaid phones are eligible.

      • Not true. The Lumia 530 isn't on that list, but I got 3 months Netflix.

        • I was only going by their website. I guess they don't even know what's going on (so what's new?!). ;)

  • Good work… nice bargain

  • +1

A loose change phone. Now that's what I'm bargaining about…

Just Checked Kmart Hurstville and Sylvania NSW and they Got none. Thought I'd let everyone know so people don't waste their time ringing. For those who could get these stock, enjoy your $4 phone.

    • +1

prob with calling them, they might keep it for themselves;)

      • yeah, i thought so but when they asked me," do you know how much that was?". i said i don't know. LOL

        • Even though you didn't tell the price, the staff could easily figure it out through their computers. You can't trust the staff, just go in-store and check for the products you're after.

I was gonna grab a sushi roll, might grab mobile phone instead 👊

  • any bargains to unlock?

  • Wow. No one bought it at 9 bucks?

  • Ah, I couldn't find it on Officeworks website for a price beating!

  • +4

Wow, it's cheaper to get this than to get a USB charger.

For anyone interested I checked in the ACT and tuggeranong has 1 left

    • Checked how? None left when I went there ~ 1.20pm.

      • Called bellconnen and got them to check other stores stock and they told me tuggarong had 1 left

        • I had a look just then in store and couldn't see any.

IMO you should wait. I hear the iphone 7 is just around the corner.

    • +2

more than 300 times the cost for less than 2 times the features

    • +2

but LG has better design over iPhone nowadays. Doesn't it?

    • +6

      iPhones are grossly overrated IMO.

      • +2

same thing with our real estate's prices nowadays

  • +1

    Useless for me but $4…

  • +2

Hmm a cheeseburger or this phone?…

    • +7

You are over paying for your cheeseburgers!

      • What if it has double beef patty and double cheese?

        • +8

The phone will probably still have a higher meat content.

        • @Pobman: You don't eat burger for its meat, you eat it for its fat and salt. That's why there's always OB deals on fastfood like KFC :P

  • id grab a few of these just to smash up and work with the electronics inside!

    • Do what Saul did in Breaking Bad. Make a call to arrange some dodgy business deal, then destroy the phone after the call.

  • +2

OP probably grabbed the last one any where.

  • +1

I could only assume its a return of old stock and it now scans at $4

    • The packaging still looks sealed but..

      • +2

Yes. Maybe some one had it on layby for some time and decided to cancel it so got placed back into floor stock at a clearance price.

Otherwise these must have sold out some time ago. No body else seems to be reporting getting one from Kmart.

      • +2

Yes this is completely true, someone could just return it a few months after purchasing with the original receipt and get the full price back.

        • Someone wanted their $9 back

        • @CheepCheap: they could have purchased it when it was at its full price a while ago

        • I think it's more likely some one had it on layby for full price and recently cancelled the layby so it went straight back onto floor stock. They probably cancelled the layby when they saw the $9 and slashed to $4 price sticker the shelf thinking they got majorly ripped off. Why no one bought it when it was $9 is any one's guess. Even at $9 it was a bargain. Then again they may have of just a price sticker there but no stock on the shelf at the time.

        • @hollykryten: You are completely correct, although i'd say its a been returned. Laybys are only eight weeks and with the clearance cycle I don't think theres anyway it could be been reduced so quickly. But if its a return, along as the original customer didn't open it and had the original receipt they would get the original price back.

  • What ??? Just $4??

    • That's right!
      Australian dollars!

    • +7

Waiting till it drops below $2

      • I'll wait until it's a freebee, or better yet with a $50 money back voucher.

        • (profanity) you, in a good way

  • None at Arana Hills, more money for Eneloops

    • they do but when they check with their stocking price they will definitely refuse to :)

  • +1

none at Sylvania - gotta love 24 hour K-Mart when you are bored :)
