Book your hotel at hotels.com and request them to return the different and you will earn their welcome reward(After staying 10 nights you earn one night for free +-%10 discount). Or you can book the hotel at Expedia.com.au and ask them to match the price and they will return the difference + $50 gift card. Hint: You dont have to tell them about the code; Just get a screenshot without showing the promo code and they will price match it from experience.
*Also, at hotels.com you can earn +-%5 cashback if you paid in advance.(From cashrewards.)

    • hi how do you manage a screenshot without showing promo code? Hotelclub.com normally shows the original price then says less promo code applied, then add taxes, etc

Hmm have to say MILF I don't necessarily agree with your Expedia option.

The $50 Expedia voucher can only be used for future Expedia bookings of >2 nights and >$350…

      Kinda limits it's usefulness.

Anybody thinking about booking should also look at ratestogo.com - which is also run by Hotelclub.

With the 20% discount using SUNSEEK20 plus over 10% cashrewards cashback, ratestogo may well be the cheapest option plus the ratestogo bookings are not limited to Thailand/USA/etc…

T/C in cashrewards for ratestogo ~Cashback will not be paid when used in conjunction with any coupon code
If you get it, it's a bonus but it probably won't work

        • try topcashback.com I made a purchase using the sunseek20 promo last week via ratestogo and have my 10% cashback pending at the moment. Not saying i will get it paid out, but at least the transaction was tracked and recorded.

  • I just booked a nice suite in Bangkok for my trip in August..

Note that the promo code doesn't work on all properties. For Bangkok it appeared to apply for only about 20% of hotels….

Nevertheless a decent discount when it does apply…

  • After I click "Continue Booking", screen shows me the normal price, but there is no field yet to enter the discount code.

Is this at the very last step, just before confirmation?

(Since it is a simulated booking to check if discount applies to a hotel, I am concerned that as I progress to the very end, it binds me to a real booking - even if the discount does not apply).

    Many thanks in advance.

  • Says you must pay in AUD? I'm assuming they will convert USD to AUD using their 'favourable' rate? ;)

    • Currency drop-down at top right of desktop Web page.

      • Yes. That is what I mean. I looked at a place in USA, it is USD$127 per night. At today's rate, that is AU$165.73.
But if you select AUD from the top right as you say, the price becomes AU$177 per night.
Not a big deal, just saying on the above example, they rip you off by approx. AU$11.27 per night thereby reducing the % of the overall deal I guess (they are basically charging you 7% more for that room than they should be).

Look at any place and try the same thing. Use something like http://www.x-rates.com/calculator/ to convert the currency.. and you will see that you will always be paying a similar premium when they convert the currency for you. That's why this deal requires you to pay in AUD, and you cannot book AU accommodation. It is to their advantage.

I am not saying that you can't save any money, but just it won't be as much as you think once you take this into account.

I can confirm it works with the 3 bottles of wine delivered for $4.99 promo

I have a bad feeling the wine may not even be worth the $4.99 but I guess I will find out when it is delivered tomorrow.

I'll vouch for the Boy Meets Girl Cab Merlot (at that price). It's $8.99 on NakedWines website… I got some a year or so ago as part of the dozen delivered for $9.99 deal.
It's worth at least $5 IMHO.
Add the others and it'll well cover the $4.99 postage.
