Little side note

To all ozbargainers, please be as kind as you can to all Big W staff. Can you imagine them searching for each game in the draw then when they go put it in the cases, they go back to their register and see another 5+ people waiting in line just to do it all again with the next customer? You got some others who aren't interested in the deal (like people who have to get their digital photos printed) and some of them may get impatient. This causes big stress for both the staff member and the customer. Please praise them for their efforts as thats the least we can all contribute.

      Unfortunately there was a group of young college kids there who filled up a trolley and basically cleared out the shelves. So I imagine that is what caused them to refuse the sale.. You might have seen these kids too? Anyway I got a couple of items.

          Taking 10+ copies of the same title, yeh that sort of thing is kinda looked down upon on this site I imagine? Also rocking up to the counter with a trolley full of $3 games draws attention. They weren't too bright anyway trying to argue with the store manager and getting him offside wasn't a smart move.

    Big W Macquarie nothing left.. No consoles bundles, 3DS XL isnt on special.. infact the staff said all consoles arent on special..
    Even if you manage to get a box for the game, they cant seem to find the games in the draw. It magically disappeared and you cant do anything about it ==

    4 people ( I assume they are friends - 2 girls, 2 boys who looked like hardcore gamers) took majority of the stock in baskets and trolleys at Box Hill. From all console types - Wii, 3DS, XB1, PS4, PS3, XB360 -find it hard that someone owes all the consoles to play the games - everyone else trying to scavenge leftover stock. No consoles left, nothing gg.

    At least Big W put a lot of staff on to hande it - no 'drop zone' action so to speak.

      They are scalpers. Took ALL of the Xbone COD Ghost copies as soon as the lady staff put it there. You should check their haul. Multiple copies of anything worth reselling.

    Big W Elizabeth (SA) had hardly anything at opening this morning. I saw some staff acting a bit suspicious, and found they had stashed some stuff behind the layby counter yesterday. I only saw them getting 2 things - $5.70 with staff discount.

    Someone scanned everything in the XB1 section and found some games on sale that weren't in the list, so I guess you just have to try everything on the shelves.

    Got everything I wanted except thief so can't complain. Swarm of nerd types rushung into the store must have scared the staff who had no idea there was even a sale. Poor photo centre ladies who have to deal with the games too were overwhelmed especially when the calls started too. If you want 360 games or XB1 trials fusion etc mount Ommaney Queensland still has a few at the moment, everything good is long gone.

    Went into Macurther to try nab me a 2DS or 3DS consol. Only the normal priced standalone remaining, went to the counter to ask, and saw 3 PS3 and 3 XBOX360 bundles. So I asked the lady behind the counter if was included in the sale, to which she snarled "no these are the normal priced consols". Probably saving for themselves/someone. Didn't matter to me because I wasn't after them, but a bit more probing and you could probably get one.

    Looked like they were in process of $3 stickering games, and few guys hawking around the games section

    Big W MIRANDA. Stating only xbox 360 and PS3 games included in deal. Everything else either full price or no stock. They did have a medium amount of 360 and PS3 games available as of writing.

    No consoles whatsoever. Staff were very panicked.

    So some chinese guy rocked up at tea tree plaza everyone else was friendly he wasnt. Door opens he goes psycho running thru the shop.

    Gwt to games section me and the two nice guys found the games stash started picking out the titles and 5he chinese psycho runs over and smashed the shelf knocking shit everywhere.

    Even while were buying he's still running around psycho scanning stuff.

    Guy was a douche felt sorry for all the staff.

    And hey dude if your reading. God have some dignety and enjoy the 20 copies you bought for personal use lol.

    Knob. I got a few good games im happy and the staff deserve a bonus for suffering him and being awesome to us

      Really hope it wasn't the same guy I saw yesterday. This guys bought more than 100 games. Cleaned out all Xbone and Ps4 games (upto 9 copies for some games) and took the majority of ps3, xbox360, wiiu, nintendo ds and ps vita games.

    Got lucky at the Calamvale store in Brisbane. Picked up the only Fifa 15 XB1 console.

    Couple of others grabbed PS Vitas. Not sure if they ended up finding any other console stock after I left, there was still quite a crowd.

    Didn't see any discounted games, would love to know if anybody found some.

      Were you there first thing in the morning? If so, I'm curious how much of what I saw last night was still there. I seen a few staff members looking around as I was leaving (Stupid me for asking them about the sale. They had no idea about the sale) and I got a feeling that a lot of it might be sold before they open :P

        Yeah, there wasn't a Titanfall console bundle there in the display case, but the FIFA 15 one was.

        I did go there first up in the morning. A couple of PS Vita consoles got picked up, and I would've waited around longer to see what they had in the storage area - but I had to get to work.

        I also went in the day before, around 6pm, and didn't see much at all - so they must've pulled somethings out between then.

    Went to the Liverpool store at opening, saw two guys pick up xbox one fifa bundle that they had on hold. They had one xbox one titanfall bundle left but I passed it on to someone else who wanted it more. Don't bother with all the clearance games because they were already all gone by yesterday night.

    Picked up about 6 copies of games as well as Starter kit for the XBOX one for $3 each at BIG W Karingal
    INSANE VALUE!

    About 10 people were queuing outside the store, they didn't have a bargain bin section but instead had to grab all the games off the shelves and check.
    I was smart and looked behind every stack of games and probably picked up an extra 2 that I wouldn't have if I hadn't checked.

    6 games + accesory for $21.

    Pakenham Big W has been cleared out. Civil and friendly Ozbargainers arrived to the store at opening with me; there were only 2 PS3 Slim 320GB consoles left for $100, one of which I grabbed. Ladies at the counter were extremely friendly and helpful to us. Most games were cleared out last night but I did get a few goodies (DoA on 3DS, NintendoLand). Was nice to see a group of very civil Ozbargainer gamers help each out out.

    I went to Kilkenny SA Big W yesterday and asked about the Titanfall Xbone consoles and the sales lady said she had no consoles and that the sale begins tomorrow. Came back again this morning - the same sales lady was there, and two young Asian ladies walk out with two Xbone consoles each, one of them Titanfall. So no more console stock at this store.

    Went to Big W eastgardens. The staff said they are not aware of gaming clearance. The prices of the games on the price tag are also not $3. But found there are some $3 games left when we checked the prices at the self scan device. There was no ps4 or xb1 console on the shelf.

      I've tried EB, Kmart, Target, Dick Smith and JB-Hi-Fi. None would price match, none would and some were like there's something wrong with it.

      missed the console by 1 person in line but got some games.

      BiW W staff were like it shouldn't of been advertised and that it wasn't advertised as they don't have much stock as they are older models and just want them gone.

        No, this was Richmond NSW, seems like not a single thing had been touched. I didn't buy anything either. Plenty of games, don't think there were any consoles except maybe 2DS or 3DS, not sure, I don't understand what I am looking at with those.
        Lots of COD Ghosts, and a few other games there.

      People should really learn not to drop this sites name when trying to get items on sales clearances or price errors, just say your friend told you about it, so your positive that's the price deal etc… it's not hard.

      Some retailers go into damage control once they realize thousands of people are aware of the deal/price error etc. (or staff members stock hoard) and shut down the deal, your far more likely to get the deal if they think its a "1 off sale" than a loss or clearance price that everyone will try to exploit/get.

    Fun and entertaining morning. Met my fellow ozbargainers at 8am for an 8.30am start. All in all, spent $236 and got: Titanfall Xbox One bundle, 6 standalone Xbox one games, Disney infinity girl power pack, Disney infinity 3ds starter pack, infinity 2 pack play n store, skylanders swapforce for XB1, PS4 starter kit and dual charge cable.     Forest hill cleared out, only xbox 360 and ps3. Same with doncaster. There WAS 2 consoles at Doncaster that the manager obviously hid from yesterday buyers. Two blokes before me got them :(

    I went to eb after i bought some 360 games and for today only they are offering an extra 25 percent or something on trade ins.

    The 360 games i had were

    and they came to 22.50 or something trade in value. So IF i traded it (which i didnt) i would have made CASH DOWLAA!!

    I'm at Big W Bonnyrigg, they have lots of xbox one, xbox360, PS3/4 titles as per the google doc,

    also about 5 x ps vita, 2 fifa 15 bundles and 4 x Pokemon X or Y 3DS Console.

    I ended up picking up 3 PS3 games @ $3 each and 1 ps vita. Great value! so happy!

    Managed to get Ace Combat for 3DS but the rest was absolute rubbish and mostly stuff without cases.
