Little side note

To all ozbargainers, please be as kind as you can to all Big W staff. Can you imagine them searching for each game in the draw then when they go put it in the cases, they go back to their register and see another 5+ people waiting in line just to do it all again with the next customer? You got some others who aren't interested in the deal (like people who have to get their digital photos printed) and some of them may get impatient. This causes big stress for both the staff member and the customer. Please praise them for their efforts as thats the least we can all contribute.

Did ask for splatoon and they said that was full price (somebody probably called up and asked). Did manage to get a 2ds unit. They also said they didn't have any consoles left. Games wise it was alll dried up, except GoW3 (Of course)

    Walked up to box hill today at 8.45, at least 15 people were crowded in the two isle. Saw one guy walking out with an xbox 360. Not sure about Xbox ones. I think many of those who were there, seeing a group of 4 who raided preety much everything in stores, i wouldnt be surprised if they had spent over hundreds there with the quantity of games they had ( multiple copies of COD ghost…) Grabbed some xbox one accessories, including an xbox one headset adaptor. Grabbed a couple copies of gears of war 3, ( plenty left since 9am)

    Headed out to Doncaster next, saw this asian dude running around. He preety much lurked at the counter and got the staff to hand him games before they were placed on the shelf. Made my day, when the dude got asked if he was one of the staff. There were more games at doncaster, managed to grab murdered souls and trials fusion on xbone. Plenty of xbox 360/ps3 tittles.

    BY midday forest hill, Vic. Was preety much cleaned up, staff mentioned the only games they had were COD GHost on the xbox one in the morning. All sold out since. Big shout out to the staff, who was able to find a copy of COD GHost Xbone for me. Al-bet disc only, but was really happy with that.

        its an outdoor bluetooth speaker by the brand "BE". Has fm radio and a torchlight on it too. It was in the cabinet section of Big W.

    For those on the northside of Brisbane wondering about stock - I actually managed to pickup the XBOX One Titanfall console bundle for $200!!

    I went to Big W in North Lakes soon as they opened at 9am and they had about seven or eight different xbox one classic games like PGR, COD Ghosts etc. I picked up Ghosts, NintendoLand for the Wii U and genuine iPad Air smart cover all for $3 each. I then called Big W in Taigum to see if they had any XBOX One Titanfall or FIFA console bundles and he had one Titanfall bundle but it was scanning at $499. I told him to check again - waited for almost 10 minutes and he came back and said yep its scanning at $200 now. He very graciously put it aside for me till I got there 15 minutes later. He was a real champ very helpful and even stayed with me to scan the other consoles and games they had in stock while I used the very helpful spreadsheet posted by Athlon165 as a reference.

    They didn't have the white PS4 Destiny bundle but he checked the ones they had at the back including the Halo XBOX One bundle and PS Vita WiFi but they all scanned at their original RRP price. I assume that the PS Vita sale price of $50 is for the old fat OLED one (this one was the new slim one)? For those interested, they still had plenty of 360 and PS3 games on sale for $3 plus a few Wii U third party games and even five or so PS2 and PSP games.

    Anyway happy and relieved that I was able to walk away with the XBOX One Titanfall console bundle which also comes with a Kinect in the box for the bargain basement price of $200 plus the 2x games and iPad Air smart cover that I picked up from the Big W in North Lakes.

    Moral of the story: All staff aren't douchebags out to ruin your day - thanks again to the very helpful and honest staff at the Big W in Taigum and North Lakes!

    Mount Ommaney were putting the ones from behind he counter into security cases to put out when I was back there about 30 minutes ago. Had a quick glance and only saw some nba and trials etc was happy enough with what I got this morning so didn't hassle them while they were filling cases.

    I assume either they've given up on putting them in he proper cases or They had a lot of discs with no cases.

    Now he morning rush is over other stores may be taking stock of what's left and getting them out.

    So the word going around in adelaide is that theres a bargain hunting group via facebook exlcusively for mandarin speaking people who all networked and pegged all the buys on this today, like other deals and sell the products off at high prices.

    i've been to TTP and golden grove today and seen / heard stories of many people matching similar descriptions (apparantly a whole family with trollies at marion and cumberland park) who others have mentioned seeing them at markets hawking the gear as well as selling it on gumtree / ebay as 'Unwanted prizes'

    One of my mates who visited marion last night described a bunch of people who tried to ransack it last night, and were then seen at cumberland park, and then seen at tea tree plaza berrating staff into selling discounted items last night.

    If this is true it's pretty sad that ozbargain is being used and abused like this :(

        not really mate, as you would have noticed theres a deep sense of community here, sure you get the douchebags every now and then but this is a community built on sharing bargains, not hoarding them or extorting them later on.

        It's not a big deal if today you grabbed a bundle of games, took care of xmas, or traded one or two of them for a game you really wanted.

        But taking a trolley full to flog for bundles of cash on ebay, being a complete tool to other customers or staff members?

        That crap is just not on, it destroys what this was all about.

          There's a lot of good people here on ozbargain that post and help each other out and buy things for themselves.

          There's also stacks of lurkers on ozbargain too who do exactly what you describe, hoard stuff and sell on ebay. So whether they do it in their own language on a facebook group or whether people get their bargains on here, I don't see what the difference is really. (These people suck by the way.)

          This site is all about 'networking' and 'pegging' buys too.

    For once being from a small town has paid off. I arrived at the Kempsey NSW store at about 7:45am for an 8 o'clock opening convinced that I would be jostling for position amongst a crowd of savvy bargain hunters whilst trying to keep my dignity. In reality I was the only one there (yes! the only one!).

    After leisurely strolling to the Home Entertainment section I approached the lone sales assistant and asked where the gaming drop zone specials were. She replied "What specials?". They literally had no idea of the markdowns. So we spent a fun half hour or so scanning everything we could find and her being totally gobsmacked at the prices that were coming up.

    This was my haul.

    After I had cherry-picked their stock they had remaining some PSP handhelds for $30, plenty of DS games, Wii games & accessories, some 360/PS3 games & accessories, heaps of Skylanders stuff, and only a couple of PS4/XB1 games.

    Thanks to the OP's I had a great day.

    Thanks to an incredibly helpful staffer at Big W Broadmeadows I was able to score a Xbox One Fifa bundle. They had previously told everyone they had none but as I got speaking to this staff member who was scanning pretty much every game and telling everyone which ones were $3 I pulled up the list posted in the OP and he went through things I was after. Said they had none but insisted he would go out the back and have a look around for me. Came back and tapped me on the shoulder and said to follow him and then presented it to me.

    Cant thank that guy enough, an absolute legend and the fact that he went straight back to helping others find things they were looking for was a testament to his dedication.

    As for games, there was very little left that I was after. Grabbed a few things and traded them in at EB (50% extra trade value atm) so out of the 4 games I bought (Skylanders/Disney Infinity/Thief XBO/Ryse XBO) for $12 I managed to get ~$45 value towards a preorder which I was happy about.

    Very happy right now.

        I bought one copy of a few items, no multiples. Instead of letting them gather dust I decided to get the most out of them and profit at EB's expense. As I mentioned a lot of the titles everyone was after were long snapped up already so I basically picked out a few items that had many copies remaining.

    Staff at Greenhills and Raymond Terrace openly admitted to stockpiling a majority of the consoles, there was even one filling a trolley with orders from what I imagined was a friend or relative.

    I managed to get 2x 2ds X & Y, CoD Ghosts, gears of war and about 5 years worth of xbox live.
